  • viral

also major im having problems signing in to your blog it tells me that account not recognised

  • DevsterC

Anyone listen to this yet? Did he say anything about the horrible shutdown of the gamerscoreblog.com site?

  • Sriefer

Major hasn’t mentioned anything on his blog about gamerscoreblog shutting down and he didn’t link to it. Surely he mentioned it during the podcast, else it would be a shame.

  • Major Nelson

I did not mention the Gamerscoreblog on my show since this show was recorded late Friday, before I found out the news. The good news is that the GSB team will be working on other Community related project as they said in their post.

  • Firecrest

    Ed Boon* :P

I’m kinda’ interested in “The Maw”, being that it’s a 3D platformer. You know, as long as it’s good.

    Listening to the podcast now.

  • AnEternalEnigma

    It’s “Boon” not “Boone”.

  • Firecrest

Hey Major, btw, The Price is Right is on the iTouch/Phone if you have one of those, lol.

  • Solase

Hi Major, thanks for posting the $29.97 13 month Gold card option! I’m currently stationed in the middle east, but ordered it to my house back in the states when I return. Great buy!

  • Turtle502

The Maw sounds interesting, I didn’t think I would want to play another platformer, but hearing the discussion might have just changed my mind…

  • Azrane1

Who did that version of Mahna Mahna at the end of the show?

  • Turtle502

I can’t imagine buying a 360 for the first time today, not only are there a slew of good games to get today, but there’s such an awesome back-catalog. I’m still trying to find the time to play games I’ve overlooked over the last year! It’s impossible to catch up… :(

  • SuperDunners

Agreed, Xbox 360 Fancast is a ton of fun :D

  • Austin

    Weird… Major says it’s Show 304 in the podcast but on iTunes/MajorNelson.com says 305. Hmmm…. lol =]

  • The Gh0sts

Come to Sydney Major!!! You need to do a meet and eat there!

  • Spargo CXVII

    Hey e RSV2 doesn’t have 4 player co-op story, It’s only two player. Co-op terrorist hunt has 4 player co-op… Great Game

  • mossman93

@Azrane1 I think that version is by Cake.

  • ABomb

Good to hear from Ed Boon. He has been on the OXM podcast a few times and he was always interesting on their show. MK has been a great franchise over the years.

  • Rune 70

    Thanks, Larry!

  • Vasilii Zaytsev

Damn, too late for NTG. :(

  • IconicSoulJA

    WOW! I can’t believe it… It’s Ed Boon as Rudy… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULpAOcd322g

  • BrarStar

  • ik00R

“What you been playin e?..(wait half a second)…I’ve been playing….”

Seriously buddy, let the poor guy get a word in! :)

  • ushman360

Alright Major you’ve talked me into giving Frontlines another shot!

Thanks for the headsup on the Amazon deal!

  • swyzak

Thanks for a great show :)

  • Warrengonline

I’m out of the know, but where is John Tobias (I never kept up since he left – if he ever did) and is Jason Rubin (Naughty Dog founder; Way of the Warrior, Crashbandicoot) ever going to be a guest? Crash is now on Xbox360. Nice of Ed to talk. I find it ironic, I love MK1’s roughness (4 Team Project), but MK2 is the best of the lot and MKvsDCU (100+ Team Project) is awesome. MAW sounds great. Got to check it out, but afraid of the SF4 launch. “So little time, not enough for play.”

Oh Maj, um… MK nor Street Fighter were release on the Master System (I assumed you meant Sega Master System) MK1 was on Sega CD with the “MORTALLLLL KOMMMMMBAAAAAAAT!” commercial on it – cool stuff back then, collector’s today – I miss those types of commercials for flagship games. Thanks a lot for the retro revisit. And my fav pinball machine: http://www.pinballrebel.com/game/pins/bop/bride_of_pinbot_pinball.htm – find her, play her, awesome. I’ve never seen any pinball machine like her ever. Keyword: Maitland. Good blogcast.

  • lolwut

John Tobia left to form Studio Gigante which closed after two horrible Xbox games (Tao Feng & Wrestlemania 21). Crash Bandicoot is not owned by Naughty Dog anymore, I think Universal owns it. Sony purchased Naughty Dog and so Jason Rubin only makes PS3 games, such as Uncharted.

  • lolwut

Actually, I just Googled Jason Rubin, according to Wikipedia he left games in 2004 and now works on comic books.

  • Ganon255

    Thanks for the show.

  • Greger

Hmm.. I was really looking foreward to trying The Maw, but then I realised it’s not available in the European territories.
Any possibilities that we might get to download community games any time soon?

  • Xmastree X

You confused the heck out of me when you said show 304, but its labeled 305. Thought I had the wrong show.

  • Solase

Yeah, there was a big Xbox 360 beach party down in Australia. I think last year. He was at it and handed out some nice free gifts. Wish I could’ve went to that.

  • Warrengonline

    @Anon 11
Thanks. I asked because I have not heard much from John Tobias as Ed Boon (Noob Saibot) just went together. I remember that horrible Tao Feng and almost bought it from a mom and pop shop just to collect it. Passed. Thanks. On a random day last year I had learned Jason left Naughty Dog (in 2007), but that is all I know of him. Then later I had accidentally discovered, then read a developer insight in Game Informer a few months back with Jason Rubin and how ‘when you’re and indie and no money what its like for a giant company (like Sony) to fund you by buying you out and limiting your sales to one system’. Neat and shocking read.

    @Anon 12
That’s not really fair of him as I was surely, hoping for a Shaky Jake return (as Ed Boon was suggesting for something ‘different’). Sprites, Digitized Images or 3D Polygons, I love them all. (Well, not Tattoo Assassins or Shadow: War of Succession)

  • fuzzyGURU

I wish I could play 5th Grader… why hasn’t this been released outside of the US yet?

  • DevsterC

@MajorNelson – “The good news is that the GSB team will be working on other Community related project as they said in their post.”

Just not for Microsoft, as the news is now out the whole team has been sacked.

  • Sad 4 Zune

I’ll ask again… why isn’t Major Nelson’s podcast in the Zune library anymore? It’s killing me!
