What about Puzzle Quest: Galatrix? Ive been saving my last 2000 points for this when I could be downloading some Guitar Hero: World Tour tracks.

  • VEGEMITE 98

Major, I put up with the prices of the arcades but this is one thing I can’t stand,

XBLA GAMES THAT AREN”T AVAILABLE IS AUSTRALIA.

It’s bad enough that we pay for a gold service but Australia gets treated like we all have silver accounts!.

    Not Happy!

  • VEGEMITE 98

Oh and then to add insult to injury Exit 2 isn’t the full game. it’s Exit, Lumines & PGR3 All over again, you think your buying the full game at 800mp but NO you only get so mcuh and then you have to fork out more cash to buy the game as it was intended to be. OH I AMSO NOT HAPPY

  • Kirill B

    Why not in Australia, Major?

  • MACPH1ST0

@ VEGEMITE 98: At least with the original Exit, the additional levels were given as free DLC. Hopefully that will continue to be the same with this one too.

  • elektrixxx

Oh c’mon. Space Invaders & Puzzle Quest are imminent!

  • Anonymous

yeah I 2nd that why not australia :( first puzzle quest gets bumped now this crap cmon microsoft

  • dirty whirlwind

@ VEGEMITE 98: That’s a pretty bold say, since the game already featuring hundred of levels, out-of-the-box. And since we don’t know any prices on the DLC its pointless to have this discussion. Also, because of your Australian heritage this dispute is even more unnecessary ;)

  • Anonymous

and the free levels arent gonna help when we cant buy ms points for US with a credit card unless we live in the US…..and its a pain to go and buy a points card for the US, just to buy this game which I would have bought anyway but nooooooooooooo microsoft decide I cant….thank U MS :(

not to mention we dont get inside xbox, netflix, community games, and theyve only just started events off, shows we really get screwed over by MS, yet we pay the same to use gold???? :(

  • N3WB13 R0N

bad news for Availability: Not available in Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore seems like they are not geting it this week.. maybe its a temp hold and it will be Availability. If not then blame your goverment because of the laws and copy right and a few other things what its not safe for games to come to a different contry.. it may deal with other things but i am not microsoft ether.. Hay Major can you ask microsoft this question for us why is there a resion block on some thing? is it because of copy right.. if you could it would be nice and post it up on your fourms for Newbies and people who want to learn some more information.. Thank you major!!

  • N3WB13 R0N

I dont think its fare canada cant download shows off the marketplace even though i am next door to the country.. and when i was living in USA i could do everything but when i left the usa and went to canada now i cant download my shows or nothing dealing with them and some are restricted.. Its pretty bad.. We need to figure out why everyone wont allow stuff to happen it may deal with people whod ont want to tax because there may be a fee involved on microsoft part and country what makes things hard. but i hope not.. anyways.. lets hope its better. :D

  • a peeking duck

It’s all about licencing issues and such. It’s not like Microsoft is saying “hah, that’ll show them pesky island dwellers!” or “try and watch our shows now, canucks!”

It’s a dumb complicated process which we as the consumer don’t see and misconstrue as the company holding back on us.

  • NeoCutter

Any word on release date for Puzzle Quest: Galactrix? I read it was today… but not so much.. :0(

  • MACPH1ST0

Major already answered the question about region availability for DLC a long time ago in the Marketplace FAQ.

  • KP ScuzzyBunny

I guess as soon as an Australian or European company designs a hugely popular gaming system, an awesome online marketplace and gaming experience, and sets up support for it, that maybe then you can charge America more, and you guys pay less. It’s a fact of life…you get more games/ support/ contests/ choices in Japan for Sony and Nintendo, you get more games/ support/ contests/ choices in USA for Microsoft. If it’s that important to you, move to the USA.

  • I AceSpartan I

@ Spartan3179 Puzzle Quest Galactix should come out here in Australia cause its made by a aussie company witch made the first highly popular original puzzle quest.

  • I AceSpartan I

oh i forgot in my first post that company is Infinite Interactive

  • Pi Kapp Rob

Who cares about exit 2, when PQ: Galactix comes out today?
Major, where is PQG? I am more excited about this than any game that has come out in months.

  • Supreme Entity

I have to agree with all the other people who are asking about Puzzle Quest Galactix. Though I only have 80 Microsoft Points, nothing is stopping me from purchasing more for this game. I have been looking forward to this since it has been announced and I still play the original Puzzle Quest to this day (along with the expansion of course).

Not sure if you read this Major, but a game is a game. I’m not upset about the release of Exit 2 as it’s better than nothing and I appreciate the fact that Microsoft is going the extra mile by trying to give us Gold Members better deals on DLC with the return of DotW (Deal of the Week).

  • Bushi no Eire

Lol, where’s Outrun and King of the Fighters?

  • bknight2k

Hey major if we cant get Exit MS should make another title available

  • Anonymous

Well now to just wait to purchase it, I could understand if its a different title like say MLB stickball or pirates vs ninja dodgeball (which wouldnt sell well here) but we have exit 1 available, whats the difference with exit 2?

Fingers crossed its just a delay on australia and not a whole block out :( On the plus side microsoft has saved me 82.50 cuz now I dont need to buy points for puzzle quest :) and exit and a few other things I was gonna buy would have resulted in needing to purchase points

  • Pi Kapp Rob

I went and worked out and was hoping that when I returned PQ:G was available for download. This is horse-wash! I want to spend some money, and MS will not let me.

Please give an update on PQ:G, Major!

  • Turtle502

everybody just needs to understand that the world’s laws haven’t caught up with technology of globalization. Sure, it’s easy to distribute something around the world. But laws prevent that. If something’s not available where you live, talk to your leaders and representatives…or whatever government officials you have where you live.

Now I wonder why Major hasn’t mentioned Tomb Raider Underworld — Beneath the Ashes…???

  • Secret Fuller

Why does every Thing cost?! MICROSOFT IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST COMPANIES IN THE WORLD! What about our free Christmas present? Where the **** is it?! Well i got my present! The ring of fire! and stolen account! do you think that’s nice!? Well? Tell me

  • Secret Fuller

Turtle502@ that’s because its s***, And it costs too much for something so rubbish!

  • MACPH1ST0

Speaking of Tomb Raider DLC, is the Anniversary Ep 1-4 DLC for Legend the same as the Anniversary retail disc version? And if they are the same, is it worth it to have one version over the other? (like is the bonus mansion level only in the DLC and not on the disc version?)

  • Exu

“And now you can purchase the original EXIT for 400 points from Arcade Hits!”
-is what I should be reading on the end of the topic post.

To be honest, EXIT didn’t do it for me but I have the EXIT 2 demo a go anyway. Still not doing it. Clunky controls and annoying low-quality sound clips spoil the fun.

  • fastmode

Any comment about this, major? As a LONG time xbox-er, I’m not impressed.

    http://kotaku.com/5160595/xbox-live-sadly-no-place-for-lesbian-gamers

It’s 2009, and Live is supposed to be a social portal for ALL its members. “ladiesman420″ is ok despite its blatant reference to heterosexuality (which according to stepto and the TOS is not allowed) as well as the violations for drug reference and illegal activity.

And that’s a gamertag. A reference to being gay in the profile – that someone would have to dig into the menu to go see – is an autoban? I fail to see the balance.

I know you have condemned the awful hate speech on Live before and are hoping you’d have a strong opinion on this as well. Thanks for all the support over the years, Major and keep up the good work.

  • Gareth3D

So much hate it’s sad :( I understand why Australien live members are so mad about thar XB live service, sumtimes i’m pretty beeped off about the UK live service BUT we got to think about how small the Australian and Europ team is and that they are working ther buts off, I think that they are doing a pretty damn good job considering. :)

  • Shael

Do not want! >_< I can haz Puzzle Quest Galactrix instead? :)

  • SVC MeanMF

    PUZ-ZLE QUEST! PUZ-ZLE QUEST!

I’m just curious, are we going to see Uno Rush any time soon (like within a month) or 1 vs 100 ever? Those are about the only 2 arcade games I’ve heard of that I want and yet 1 vs 100 seems to have just drifted and last time I saw or heard anything on Uno rush was a few weeks ago on the xbox site saying it was coming soon. Like I said that was a few weeks ago so what is ‘soon’ in MS talk?
