  • Vegito SS4

Halo 3, back on top, too bad Halo Wars is at number 7 though..

  • JaggedCrane

Wow, Castle Crashers must’ve made a ton of money by now; it’s been a top seller every week since it’s release.

Either that or all the other games aren’t selling.

  • RAPMUSICSUCKS

I can’t believe RESIDENT EVIL 5 is only #6 on the list. most of my friends have the game, i thought i would have been higher on the list…

  • Vagabond80

Peggles ftw! Haven’t seen such an addictive game for some time :D

  • Ichiban Noob

It saddens me that Totem has never made the top ten for community games. Anyone who likes block matching games should check out the trial at least. It’s awesome and only 200 msp.

  • Sticky Owens

resident evil 5 was on released a few days ago man!!

  • SAKY

Amazing to see COD4 at #3, even with a sequel released. Just shows what a great game it really is. I bet anything that this time next year (hell, even January) you won’t being seeing W@W or COD4 on the top 10 list as MW2 will take em both down. Actually, you may see COD4 up there, I wouldn’t be surprised.

  • Anglophile

Either only 9 XBLA games were sold in the past week or you forgot one, Major.

  • MeS FEAR

COD 4 is the next Counterstrike for Consoles so everyone is playing it online. Thats the reason why its so high on the list…even if its a old game. To bad that left 4 dead felt down…i like this game…but the problem is that the dlc is not released yet…and what a surprise…halo 3 did it again on top of the list.

  • RJ Horsey

COD 4 is not the next CS. Counterstrike actually takes some aiming and skill whereas COD 4 bad kids just run around with an M16 or P90 and are pro. It’s an ok game but I don’t see the comparison to CS at all. Maybe you meant that people will always be playing COD 4 like people still play CS? If so I agree. If not I totally disagree. There will never be another competitive shooter like BF2 or even H2.

  • Rell192

When that map pack hits the marketplace, may not see a #1 change for some time.

  • CosMick

Resident Evil 5 is number 6 from Japanese players only.

Wow, can’t even imagine what place it will be when the US and Europe are included.

    I suspect number 4.

  • Warrengonline

Peggle and SFIV – “This is one heck of a battle!” Resident Evil 5 – “You all will die down here.” (once the record is updated). Capcom reigns again!

  • II QUiCK5HO7 II

Mehh, everyone played Halo 3 and Resi 5 this week… Idk wth is good in Halo 3 or Halo Wars…

  • n3rfherd3r

I still have not tried Halo Wars online = (

  • Zenfar

Fingers crossed and sending out good karma (mostly through playing Dhalsim in Street Fighter 4) that ZenHak makes the Community Top 10 next week…

  • Ollyh

A good strong start for RE5 there, I wouldn’t be surprised if Peggle you will be in the same position next week it is a great game afterall. I might even buy it :P

  • hank maccoy

brick4ever not in the top10 community games this week? Are they planning to go into the live arcade? They’re everywhere on the web

  • Jello Owl

Hey Major, I know this isn’t related to this entry but under the Spotlight channel it says the Jon Stewart (The Daily Show) interview with Jim Cramer is free for people with Gold but when I goto download it I am still asked for 160 points. What’s up with that?

Do you guys sleep with this game? Jesus, you fanboys take this stuff to seriously. It’s just a game. Call of Duty:WAW is a great game too. I’m surprised I havn’t seen “The Church of COD:4″ pop up somewhere. I hope you wear protection when you and COD:4 are having your moment.

What’s up with that, is that people like you are making Jim Cramer the scape goat for something that’s been going on for years and he cannot control. I don’t like the guy, but still, it’s not like he made the economy bad personally.

And besides you’re probably 10. WTF do you care about this stuff, shouldn’t you be playing COD:4 or something?

  • Jello Owl

Ummm I just want to know why it says it’s free but then asking for 160. Nothing about any commentary on the episode itself. Your comment has nothing to do with the issue. But thanks anyhow. ;)

  • Jello Owl

Oh and I’m actually 23 years old, but that has nothing to do with my question either. *shrugs*

  • Running Pixel

I love Peggle, loved on PC and loved again on XBox…

  • RidinSlow

    Lists; everybody loves lists…

  • Monster Warfare

Congrats to Bungie again! Now I hope Call of Duty: WaW can get on top with there new maps.

  • clarky456

    I love Halo.

  • AriesDog

No Guitar Hero or Rock Band games on the list. Have fans become burned out on music games?

  • HH Li

Peggle & CRYSTAL DEFENDERS were release in 3/11 ,but it on the 3/9′s list?

  • AOClaus

Trying to play a Halo Wars skirmish on Legendary makes me want to punch babies. I can’t seem to beat the bastards; they just make units too damn fast.

If online play is anywhere nearly as frustrating as Legendary (which I am assuming it is because Human players are typically better than AI) then I can understand why Halo Wars isn’t ranking so high.

  • Makavelo

    @AOClaus
RTS-Games should be hard and have a big learning curve, you stick to games like CoD4 if you want easy to learn games.

  • MACPH1ST0

As if Peggle wasn’t already addictive enough as it is, the Peg Party and Duel online modes should keep it in the top spot for quite a while!

  • Malrinth

Wow, if tanks V.S. managed to make it onto the top 10, Community Games must be really hurting. That game is very unpolished.
And that’s the same for alot of other community games. It’s like spam.
Major, push for better quality control and a free option /w ad support.

  • AOClaus

    @ Makavelo

I don’t consider giving the enemy extra HP and more starting cash making a game harder I consider it BS. Blizzard managed to make the AI in Starcraft harder without resorting to either of those tactics and I can beat the latest Starcraft AI on it’s hardest setting.

And I’m not sure where you’re going with the CoD comment (insult maybe?), but Halo 3 isn’t exactly any more difficult than CoD…and both can be pretty damn difficult on their hardest campaign settings or against truly skilled opponents.

  • Searing Wave

Actually, any shooter fan worth his salt would tell you that Halo takes more skill and practice to perform well in than Call of Duty.

I’m very excited for Resident Evil 5, will be getting a copy from my friend as a birthday present.

Perhaps the next title update for Gears of War 2 will finally turn the game into what it should have been at launch. I really do want to have reason to play the game online again. Been resorting to the first Gears of War for my visceral fix lately.

As for the new World at War map pack, I’m probably not going to shell out for it, as I don’t think the game is fun enough to warrant extra money for maps. Still, at least Treyarch is supporting the game more than Infinity Ward did at Call of Duty 4′s peak, even if the latter is a more enjoyable experience.

Either way, Modern Warfare 2 should be a great game as long as Infitiy Ward doesn’t just try to ride the coattails of their previous installment with more of the same and no risks. But, based on their trak record, I think it’s very unlikely that they wouldn’t try to improve on the already great formula.

But even to this day, Bungie never ceases to amaze and overwhelmingly impress me. With Halo in 2001, Halo 2 in 2004, and Halo 3 in 2007, they have over and over produced masterpieces. And no one can take a thing away from them when it comes to post-release support for their games. I’ll still be playing Halo 3 long after the turn of the decade.
