Anyone who wanted this content will have purchased it long ago. Not to mention that it won’t be long before Battlestations: Pacific is out.

I was hoping for an Arcade game this week.

Oh, I should probably mention that if what I’ve heard is true, Alien Hominid HD will be next week’s deal, down from 800 to 400.
If you ask me it should have been whacked onto Arcade Hits ages ago but I digress, next week you should all go out and buy it.

they started off on a good foot. yet at the end they turn it into a bin sale for crap.. and there seems to be no way of letting them know how upset we are for alot of the crap they they are starting to do. maybe after the alien deal the deal of the week will be a mark down of the original superman game.

20% isn’t enough of a deal, and it’s a bit insulting to imply that amounts to some great added value that being a Gold member grants.

I just bought this game. For how long will this deal be available? Is this a permanent new pricing, or will the price be good only for one week?

A saving of 20% isn’t that much, but some people may be happy about it. I do not own this game.

Please Microsoft, take a lesson from Steam. Their idea of a “Deal” is to take a new new game with a 90+ metacritic score and mark it down 75% to $5.00. Now THAT is a deal. Or how about Left 4 Dead at 50% off. Those are the kind of prices that move product, generate huge excitement, and make people spend their money.

Microsoft’s idea of a “deal” is to find the absolute LAMEST content on the service that is years old, and mark it down an offensive 20%. Are you kidding me? Who the hell even has this game? Do you really think that anyone who does have it will be persuaded by a 20% discount if they haven’t bought it yet?

You want to make a deal? How about taking something new and exciting, and selling it at at least 50% off? How about the Maw for 400 points? Thats a descent deal, I would spend some points on that. Or why not sell the first Gears map pack at 75% off? That will get some people excited.

Xbox Live’s terrible pricing is making me spend more and more of my gaming dollars on Steam. I cannot resist their incredible sales. Even new games like Peggle and Maw can be had significantly cheaper on Steam.

Get competitive, Microsoft. Digital Content has no marginal production cost. Why not harness that like Steam has and make some money? We are in a recession here. People get freaking excited about a good sale. Capitalize on that.
