Yay awsome job for them for having a spot in the deal of week.. Alien Hominid is always fun and hay who ever buys this gets a character in castle crashers whats the chance of that?? awsome characters and awsome games for 400 points so worth it!!

Boo? Why boo? This is an awesome game that many of you need to play. 800 Points or 400 Points all-in-all it is a great deal. Now my cousin can save on his own copy. IF I had to “boo”, those dang PDA games are frustrating local or online. If you thought Castle Crashers was easy. . . (big evil grin) Check out some of the achievements.

I was wishing there 3rd game would be CC2 but if you have seen the teaser trailer seems some sort of co-op platform type game :/

I am going to download the demo again and retest it. If it still awesome ^^, I’ll buy it.

I believe the arcade title will be PQ Galactrix. (source: Xbox UK dashboard DOA section, when initially up had every title with release date)

Hey Major, are you going to bother posting this weeks Arcade game on here this week (as you promised to do when you announced the promotion) or not?

Or are you going to just use your twitter like you did last week? Not surprising you did it that way last week, as there’s only a fraction of people that use that thing – which meant the mention of Uno Rush doubling in price got far less coverage before it launched than it would’ve done if mentioned on on here.

For the people who don’t already know – it’s going to be “Puzzle Quest: Galactrix” this week. MS couldn’t keep a secret if their jobs depended on it… they posted all the dates on the dashboard feature – then replaced them all with ‘Coming Soon’ soon after. hehehe

This weeks arcade tittle will most certainly be PQ Galactrix for probably 1.600 MS Points.

Thanks, I totally forgot to add that. People casually would ask how I got that character in Castle Crasher, so it totally slipped my mind while making my previous post. AH’s lazer (ie. laser) pistol is awesome once powered up.

Hey, go to newgrounds.com and check out the flash (original and harder) version. If you still do not like it, then this game is not for you. I bought it first on my Nintendo GameCube, now XBLA, I do not play it often as I’d like too, but when I do “It’s on like Donkey Kong vs the FBI”. I enjoy this game on multi-platforms and can admit I plain out **** at. It is fun and challenging – kind of like Super Mario Bros on NES – but much, much faster. Like Mickeh, it IS a bit hard, it’ll make you want to cry at times, but that should make you play harder on your next go.

This is the best deal yet. It´s a pitty I already have it, since launch day. In fact, one of the few games I haven´t even tested the demo.

If you think it´s hard, try learning some of the moves. You can hide in the floor pressing “Y”, and you should use plenty of charged shots too (but only if you don´t have a special weapon already, then DON´T charge).

It´s really easier than it seems, but only if you use all the moves of the game. If you stick only to normal shots and jumps, you´ll surely die a lot.

what genre is this game? ex: space shooter? someone explain please. I’m @ work and am tempted to add this to my queue but have never played it.

Well, that’ll be the change-up then. The secret was out, so now they’ve changed it…. Shame, I was quite looking forward to some Galactrix action, as I’ve just finished PQ:COTW, not Plague lords tho.

Alien Hominid HD for 400 points, wow those that dont already have it should pick it up. This is truly one of the best XBLArcade action titles you can find out there. To bad I picked it up already.

Now we’re starting to see proper deals: 50% price cuts.

Did he do this last week? No. Does everyone who comes here follow that glorified sms service known as twitter? No. Does everyone that visits here listen to his podcast? No.

All I want is for him to keep to his word. Last week he didn’t announce Uno Rush beforehand solely because the price had doubled since it was first announced. This week there’s still no mention on here of what’s coming this week. How hard can it be?

hmm, I’m really tempted to pick this one up… While it is cheaper, and it is the awesomeness of The Behemoth, I’m not sure: I remember really sucking at the trial… still, For five bucks, it’s hard to pass up!

Very tempting. I’ve been holding out on buying castle crashers hoping it would pop up but I can buy this game to hold me over…maybe. Probably so, the only arcade games that I’m really waiting for are Dishwasher and Castle Crashers.

Heard The Dishwasher is this week’s XBLA game, why haven’t you announced it here? Even better, it’ll be 800 points (instead of the 1200 some were worried it would be). Finally something to look forward to at a decent price (after some dismal pricing strategies — Connect Four anyone?)

Does this game have 4 players offline coop?

They could make this much more interesting by having a weekly vote. Gold members only. They could toss out 5 options, you pick the one you like. The winner becomes the “deal” the following week. But alas…we’ll never see anything like that.

Sweet deal, only a mong wouldn’t pick it up at this price.

This is one of the better deals of the week that we’ve seen, so i couldn’t pass it up. I can appreciate what Microsoft is doing here, even if it didn’t deliver with top notch content.

Cast my vote cheaper market price equivalent for the Xbox360 HDD. I just purchased a 1 TB External HD (http://www.officemax.com/catalog/sku.jsp?productId=prod1790166&history=3u3js7fl|prodPage~15^freeText~1TB^paramValue~true^refine~1^region~1^param~return_skus^return_skus~Y) for $60/$100 (cousin bought it for use on Xbox360 and did not want to partition it to 120GB partitions to work with it for his media – Office Max: “No refunds on open items, store policy because of the current recssion.”). Lucky me. So, Turtle502, add all my votes to that.

@ Larry and other folks that responded, thanks for the heads up on this week’s XBLA title. It pains me but I’ll have to pass on this deal, The Dishwasher is definitely higher on my list.

@ MrMFloyd – There are plenty of other sources to get XBLA info, its not like Larry’s blog is the only source. I don’t listen to Larry’s podcast either (not anymore anyway, sorry Larry but it’s 90% fluff lately, imo) But before coming here I had already caught wind of the release from IGN. Larry isn’t under any personal obligation with you or anyone else to post anything. Its just a blog. If you dont like getting your info here there are plenty of other places to go to.

I hated the demo. I bought this game just for the CC character though. I am so glad I didn’t stop playing after my first achievement because I think the other levels are much more fun than the first. At first I thought it was hard but by the time I got to 1-4 I stopped dying as much and made it through a whole level with only like one death. Think my second play through I’ll be much better. Also I like the pda games with it. Glad I bought it.

I remember it being decent enough when I trial’d it long ago, might as well buy it now.

I wont be passing this up. I wasn’t as drawn into the demo for this as I was for Castle Crashers, and I bought that and loved it. Now that Alien Hominid HD is 400 points I not only get to complete my CC characters, but also get to stumble through another 200 in achievements XD
