    @IconicSoulJA: He gets thousands of emails a day, if not more.

    He says he at least reads all of them, which is more than enough IMO. If I had thousands of emails a day i would skip on the “Ok thanks for the idea” emails too.

    I enjoy Stepto’s comments and insights, but I find it pretty sophomoric when you ask for the things people have tried to get away with and we get a bunch of bleeping. Either don’t bleep it or don’t do it, it’s far more annoying than funny.

    Major, Im asking you to please give some kind of response to this.

    And before people start giving advice I’ve tried it all to fix it and I am not the only one who has the issue, I’ve seen hundreds of people with this issue.

    Why does the guide freeze and lockup every time I open it? I have FiOS so it surely isn’t my connection either. Are you guys working on it? Do you know the cause? Are you working on it. Any sort of answers would be much appreciated. I never had these issues prior to the NXE.

    PorkTree: They wanted to keep the podcast G-rated and I don’t think Microsoft wants to divulge banned gamertags for security reasons.

    Custom Casket: I know you don’t want any of us to say anything, but this happens to a lot of people. :)

    I believe the Guide (and rest of the dashboard) likes to freeze due to NXE always pulling data off Xbox servers and sometimes it might time out or get held back which results in a freeze.

    Understandable but it is unacceptable. This is something I would expect from the Playstation Network since there are no subscriber fees. This is a paid service, sure there are silver members but Microsoft has millions of paid users. They should have this under wraps. Maybe it isn’t a lag in pulling data, could be something else. Hopefully Major Nelson has some sort of answer for me. Thanks for your constructive input as well :)

    I always like the shows where Stepto is on. About two weeks ago Stepto helped me out after I posted a rant on my twitter feed. I thought it was cool to get some feedback and in theory the problem was getting worked out.

    THE AFTER SHOW SOUND IS MESSED UP!!!!!! E is coming out of my left ear and when major speaks I hear him in the right….and I hear major go uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that sucks……….. BTW major and E why not express Stepto’s stuff with a quirky video like the days of arcade… Kids at my high school are always saying file a complaint on my gamertag I want to change it & later same kid said I found this website that gives you free points its great

    Custom Casket: well, you see with NXE it constantly pulls data to display custom backgrounds for games you’re looking at on the dashboard, box art, gamer pictures, etc. etc.

    NXE is all about that kind of thing and having millions of people using the dash at once could cause hiccups like that.

    Twilight Now: They should have the server and bandwidth end support for that then if they put it out there. I don’t pay $50 a month for something that locks up in the middle of a game ;)

    I smell a class action inbound if they don’t do something to fix it.

    Xbox LIVE policy regarding what, exactly? You know, I’m not gonna take half an hour without knowing what it will be about. Saying he talks about “Xbox LIVEPolicy” is like saying “Obama talks about US politics” in a headline.

    Why the heck did you bleep out the things he said we SHOULDN’T do? The two of you build it up so high, then yank away the carrot right at the end…

    First your show becomes a chit chat fest with E, then you pull codes form the show, and now garbage like this…

    The whole bleeping segment was useless. I understand the reason for bleeping, but considering the whole segment was about things that violate the TOD, bleeping just nullifies the point of even talking about it… Plus, the bleep was too loud!

    The guide has been seriously lagging for a while now, I never had these issues till NXE. Sometimes just to message someone can be such a long winded affair I don’t use it!!

    Much as I admire the podcast the bleeping of inappropriate gamertags and then DISCUSSING them is utterly ludicrous. Stop doing the segment and start behaving like grown adults.

    Loved the show…especially when Stepto shows up. I enjoy the gamertags that get banned segment but the censoring is waaay out of hand. I can’t even make sense of what he is saying..You all laugh about it and I’m left wondering what’s so funny? In the past you beeped out part of the word so I still got some sort of clue as to what was used. I’d say from a segment stand point in the show. Either uncensor it or leave it out completely. I’ve no issue with lack of censorship but I understand you have a broader audience then just me.

    I guess I was right in removing “The Gold3n Sh0w*r” and “Obamasd3a*w*fe” from my list months ago. I do not feel comfortable with certain gamertags – although some are cool – but then some are offending or disturbing – though made in the light of fun (or irritating someone). We’re here to game people, not to defame.

    The bleeping annoyed me in the original walk through. I’m used to it now, as most have pointed out “What’s the point?” if you don’t know that the ‘point’ is? It’s as fun as playing charades over the phone (no, not a video phone). My bottom line we all know not to make such names. I remove people who change their gamertags more than 2 times in 6 months.

    Um, I’m not sure how to say this, but Xbox Live Policy should include: ‘How to Change your Email Address associated with your account’ or ‘What you should do when getting rid of your Xbox360 system with a hard drive or Memory Unit’ (in case you are upgrading). This re-occurring topic of inappropriate names is making me feel a bit ‘odd’ about how more important issues are slowly being resolved. Not a complaint. “Bleeeeeep……. Fries” is what is stuck in my head for this podcast. And the DSi is not as cool as Nintendo made it out to be. The DS is cool as is, the DSi’s cameras are fun, but get tired, thoguh the sound editing it awesome. The Opera Browser does NOT support – flash (swf), avi, mov, midi (mid) nor javascript or php. Bascially it (bleeps), but maybe someone will design lite websites with pure html (and/or with css) specifically for the DSi? Who knows?

    I haven’t seen anyone comment on it but: Did any one else experience E “talking to a fly” in the after show? Every time Major would talk, it would buzz like an insect was flying next to the mic.

    Also, I have to agree with the annoying beeping of inappropriate content. It is really annoying to have a section on gamer tags that your team(s) find inappropriate and not let us hear even PARTS of the names. I know you have a HUGE audience you try to cater to but this is free on the internet and there are far worse things that children (13-) can find by simply mis-spelling words in Google.

    I do not agree with a previous comment that the show is getting less and less entertaining since the codes were removed from the show (Well done, Major) and that it is a chat with E. I listen to this podcast because Major and E talk to each other about what is going on on XBL like any of us would likely do with any of our real life friends.

    Major, please get rid of the segments with gamertags that violate TOS. It’s perfectly understandable why you have to bleep the words… but bleeping them makes the entire conversation pointless and a waste of time.

    Please, cut the censorship.

    I got a 3 day suspension last year for making a joke that had “sea men” in it. Funny thing is, there was NO sexual inference – it was a clean joke entirely but i had to say sea men instead of men at sea because of the character limit..

    If you listen to 20 seconds of any voice chat that occurs on the service, i guarantee you will hear FAR worse things than the bleeped content. I know what the political statement was, and it REALLY WASN’T THAT BAD.

    I think you should release an un-bleeped version of the segment – just for the people that want it. Don’t throw it on the RSS, just give us an MP3 and those who WANT to hear it can.

    That way, everyone’s happy.

    I never see the point in added StepTo’s Banned Word section. If the words are beeped out, it has no meaning to anyone except Major and Stepto. Always good to have him on the show though.

    Sea man what happens when the codes are pulled and you are gone for two weeks the people got restless major…. lol at my opening joke lol buy any who the show has gotten a bit to e and major talking about stuff u would talk about in bed with ur wife and all of u guys and gals get me. That post show was kinda weird hearing u in the mic major … I guess im also restless when ur gone for more then a week i need my major drug lol….

    Stephen Toulouse’s presence of the show has really ruined it since he was caught lying about MS’s homophobic policy on bios, claiming it would apply to hetrosexual people just as equally despite his OWN PROFILE doing so and him never getting banned.

    Please don’t have him on again. Agreed with the above that the bleeping section is pointless and unfunny.
