As this game is getting a worldwide release today, how come the Demo is North America only?

I guess I’ll have to download the demo on my PS3 then…

This is one AWESOME demo… It’s short, but if you power Logan up, you’ll get to do some crazy combos and kill moves. The environment is deadly too! (Hint: Look for spikes and take it from there). And yes, you can snatch people out of the air while they are launched.

This game is quite like God of War, but you are Wolverine. The graphics could be a bit more polished and the load times when you die are pretty bad. However, that’s the only faults I’ve found.

This game is extremely fun.

This demo completely shocked me! I thought it was great fun. Give it a try, this is a definite rental for me!

Any word on these demos getting released in Europe?

Three demos released in one day and none of them seen on the UK marketplace…. way to go Microsoft, thanks for stiffing us again.

For God’s sake, Hyrb. As someone supposedly high up with XBL, why can’t YOU make the system fairer, for your customers (and more importantly, fans)? Stop ignoring us Europeans please. There’s no reason for the discrepancies other than laziness. Marketing – games sell in both territories, Licensing – we don’t even get the proper Inside XBox which YOU do and have the rights for.

I really wish you would take a proper look at how the other regions inferior versions of XBL are handled so unfairly. You need a shakeup of the system.

Did the movie get released world wide today? If it did then I don’t see why it’s region locked?

The GAME got a North American AND European launch today, it was released in Australia this past Wednesday.

You died? No way! I came close to it in the area before the gate breaker, but I just killed the gunmen and hid under a ledge behind the car that was planted vertically in the ground (run, find a safe spot, hide and recover – old Crackdown Survival Tactic 101). I DO hope in the game we get to climb walls with the claws. Kratos did it with his blades. 2 more hours and I’m off to get my copy.

Call the waaaaaaaaambulance, because it’s North America only. There are OTHER factors, and none of it, I am 100% CERTAIN, is Major Nelson’s personal vendetta against the UK. Why isn’t the FFXIII demo available in the US or the UK? why is it Japan only? why is it PS3 only? WHO CARES??? You live where you live, and you get what you get…accept it already, and either move or STFU.

And….Portugal? no Demo…

And…These little things all together make me sell my 360 and buy a ps3 …. xbox division, start looking for ALL the World.. and not only to America

Yes I was acting tough…buy the game if you want to play it. And I did all my crying when World Snooker Championship 09 didn’t come out here…crying from laughing too hard! Really, guys, is making a US account that difficult? I had a UK account just for downloading EU-only content, and yes, it does exist.

This game is really good, and definitely worth the price and “risk” of buying without having played the demo (yes, I live in the USA and could have gotten it, but I just bought the full game instead, recession be damned!).

…and it’s “is annoyed” not “acting tough”…if you take all the “it’s too expensive”, “I’m selling my 360 and buying a PS3″, and “it’s not in my region” posts away, the site would actually have good, uncluttered, information.

Anyhow, like I said, great game, definitely worth the retail purchase, and in protest of this not being available in the UK, I did not download the demo…POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!

Why should we make multiple accounts just to try a demo to see if we like a game? Microsoft has also shown that it has remote access to the Xbox console it wouldn’t be beyond them to modify it to not work because of what GeoDNS told them.

This is CRAZY good, I love the fierce brutality! I will most likely rent this game because of the lack of multiplayer…BUT PLEASE GO DOWNLOAD THE DEMO…..AND ENJOY THE CUT SCENE

There is no point making a US account to download this… I already have one from last year and as with all demos you need to be a Gold member to download it for the first week… Still sucks

The question is how come the PS3 version of the demo is available in Europe, but the 360 version isn’t?

yeah i have got an American account,but i have kept it silver,so,i have to wait a week for demos

i will say this,yesterday or the day before Europe got a free Premium theme,Xtival…and its one of the best i have seen for a long time its well cool,it shows all your friends list at an open air concert,so Killer Scuzzy,if you have a UK account see if you can download that theme…its better than the Sacred 2 theme i paid for anyhow

Downloading it now. I really want this to be good, it’s about time movie based games get a more serious approach and not just seen as some means to just advertise.

been playing non stop for 2 days now…the game is an ass load of fun but a huge button masher. The environment/logan needs some work as I have seen a lot of tearing and blurryness. Some of the camera angles are horrible and you can’t see where your going or who is jumping after you.

I would rate the final product 7.5/10.

Wow X-tival is really kicking up now! Plenty of demos for everybody but the people enjoying the X-tivities!

I wouldn’t only blame Microsoft for the lack of releases in other regions. The game’s publisher may have not localised the game or is still working out regional deals.

We cant complain about demo releases compared to PS3.. I also have PS3, and Sony is ignoring EU alot more than Microsoft. A week now and then, there is only wallpapers, videoes and themes.
I had to get Wolverine demo on PS3 instead, but its very very rare that PS3 gets anything first.. PS3 dont get certain demo now and then like 360 do, and thats because Sony say that a demo may kill game sales.

I think Wolverine was cooler than expected. The character polygon count is some of the worst i seen on current gen, but levels, environement GFX looks nice. The gameplay was better than expected too, and you may like it if you finish the whole demo.

Sure but we are allowed to create a US account on PS3 and download these items (The one’s that are free) without being region locked out.

Ah so the game didnt come out for europe…… hmmmmmmmmmmm what its came out here to wheres are demo, europe exists as well.

Awesome game! True the camera is just twist at angles that makes no sense, but the game is fun as all out man. The tunnel that floods with water is truly awesome as you tun ‘into the camera’, toward yourself. Just awesome, purely awesome! The Weapon X Arena just totally rocks! Too bad it does not have a Two-player Mode. THAT alone would be AWESOME. Also I would have liked it so that I could also ‘design’ my own level by placing objects wherever I want and enemy spawn beacons. Great game in my book that I DID NOT plan to but, kind of like PURE – and it keeps me smiling while i even take a break from it. Oh, one thing, RE5 and XMEN ORIGIN: WOLVERINE need a language filter. Just because you can cuss does not mean that you are tough.

So very bloomin’ angry about there being no UK demo.
Might just boycott buying this release and waiting for Batman instead.
Also, it doesn’t look too good when a company decides to release in Region. 1 countries… almost as if the game’s broken or just plain wrong. Anyone agree?

The full game is on sale in the UK, and has been since 1st May. Not only that, but the demo has been available on PSN in the UK since 30th April. (Which I was able to download immediately, rather than being forced to wait 7 days.) Which all combines to mean that there is no reason why this demo should not also be available in the UK too. I can see a lot more people in Europe deciding to cancel their subscriptions for the same reasons I did before long.

Since this isn’t available in the UK, any idea on when it’ll become available to silver so I can download it on my American account?

This demo is waaayyy better than the actual movie. Will have to pick this up later this week.
