Does ANYONE care about the top Xbox games for the past week/ month/ year? The are just about the same 95% of the time…bend to the peer pressure, MN, and replace the last-gen list with a top 10 “game add-on” list. Not only will it give us information we care about, but it will help promote dlc that might have been overlooked. While you are fixing things, any chance someone will finally make one blade for all of a game’s new content, rather than 10 blades for GH or Rock band (one for each song), or even worse, the video marketplace when a new show is added. It’s hard to find “new” things when the “new release” section is 10+ of the same game/ tv show.

@ Killer Scuzzy J: Yes I agree, the old Original Xbox list that almost never changes needs to be replaced with a top 10 Game Add-ons Purchased list. There’s so much premium DLC out there now that it’d be nice to see how it all ranks, and also people wouldn’t be able to complain about Hasbro Family Game Night being clumped together any more!

Yes I know Gears 2 has really bad lag and the host advantage is annoying sometimes Gears 2 is not the only game i play i still play cod 4 halo 3 and in call of duty i prob get more broken games then gears 2. I respect you opinion but mines different I enjoy gears of war 2 So lets Just leave it at that.

This may have been mentioned before, but I am curious about something.

Hasbro Family Game Night shows up in my Games Played list even though I have yet to purchase a single title. Is that factored into its place on the Top 10 list at all, or is it’s position only based on someone playing a purchased Family Game Night title? I always play the game for several minutes whenever I want to try the trial version of a newly released add-on for the game. I know the Doritos game and the Totemball games still show on my games played list as they are both FREE full version games.

However as pointed out before, I expect the position of HFGN is only based on those playing purchased titles in the Hasbro Family Game Night compilation as Major has consistently stated since the beginning.

And if I may indulge in another opinion. I think the current listing for HFGN is fine because unlike other games like Banjo Kazooie & Banjo Tooie which can possibly have two positions(and therefore more exposure) on the Top 10 XBLA Arcade “popularity contest” list, the popularity of Battleship to Connect Four is unknown because they are both part of a compilation and not their own individual releases on XBLA. Consider this my vote for an additional Add-ons list. However I would rather we just get one more list added to the current ones, and not replace the Original Xbox Top Live Titles. Much love for the old green and black box. :-)

    >What does a Microsoft mistake have to do with how enjoyable a game is?

Why do you answer my question with another question?

    >It’s sad to see an excellent game like Lode Runner get screwed over by a stupid Microsoft mistake.

I had figured one of two things:

    1) You were just ticked that nobody cared *in the end, regardless of price* about Lode Runner
    2) You actually thought that the price’s “bait and switch” issue wasn’t going to cause some sores amongst the buyers.

Oh well. We’ve all been wrong at one point. Personally I don’t see why you’d get upset over it *if you are*, what matters is the games you enjoy, nothing else.

  • Monster Warfare

Congrats to all on the top. Finally got my Halo 3 working again. :)

It’s great though that with this chart…I’m finally realizing just how many games the 360 has when combined with old backwards compatible titles, Xbox Arcade titles (with remakes and original titles), and actual on-disk game releases.

Just off the top of my head, I can only think of the game “Extreme G” as something that should eventually appear on Xbox Live Arcade; THAT would be fun. Anyone remember that game from the N64 days?

  • MACPH1ST0

@ XxLightkunxX: You missed the point entirely. What I was saying was that Lode Runner lost a LOT of sales by people who felt burned by Microsoft’s price screwup, so yeah it did leave a lot of people feeling sore about the game, even though it was Microsoft’s fault. Even people who didn’t care about the 1200 point price and were interested in the game felt turned off by what happened and consequently didn’t end up buying it.

Halo 3 are fun. Me likes.

Just bought Left 4 Dead about a week ago. I’m speechless about how good that game is. Those who haven’t tried it yet should do themselves a huge favor and play it as soon as possible!

I really want to give Call of Duty: World at War another chance, but I can’t bring myself to play it unless it’s for a random nazi zombies match. Maybe I’ll try to get to tenth prestige eventually, but it just isn’t that enjoyable to me.

Lots of games coming out this year that I’m extremely excited for. Halo: ODST, BioShock 2, Modern Warfare 2, and Assassin’s Creed 2 to name a few. Almost as good a lineup as 2007 right there. If it weren’t for Halo 3, I would say 2009 looks even more exciting than 2007 did. But I digress. At least this year’s games will [hopefully] be better than 2008′s.

  • Scooterific

Nothing makes me happier than seeing Lode Runner nowhere on this list after the insulting BS they pulled on this game. I WOULD BUY IT FOR $10 MICROSOFT. WAKE UP!

  • NeoVampyre

Hang on!! Star Wars BattleFront 1 and 2 are both on the list for Original Xbox games! Ever get the feeling either would go down well on the marketplace with online play? Hell, hows about a sequel, it would be the perfect online mulitplayer game! (Or any KOTOR on the O.Marketplace, beg!)

  • Exu

@Lucky 13 X – Seems to be that every purchase of a game within Hasbro Game Night counts as a sale, as opposed to a download of the app. So yeah, say someone bought three of the titles on the same day then Hasbro would get three sales and, well, you can’t buy any other arcade games three times.
Now why’s your post in a red box?

  • IIx ZoSo xII

    BC Demo is already out?!?!

  • Keeby Boy

To the people who want a list of top purchased DLC… I could have swore you could view that on the marketplace.
