robot Badminton seriously? I guess its better than most of the crap you give us.

  • Mikestoke

What happened to Wallace and Gromit that was released on the PC almost 2 months ago. :|

  • IFightFoo

@o0 Daz 0o, he doesn’t create the games, he’s just the messenger.

Blazing Birds was the winner of the 2007 Dream-Build-Play contest using XNA

    @IFightFoo

    you think?

  • eolh93

Gel looks like it might be a fun diversion at half the price, but 800 points is too much for it. But then, I’ve thought a lot of the recent XBLA releases have been over-priced.

  • Sneeches

@Dustin – dont you mean “sweat”

    hahhaha

I will pass on this crap!!!

  • MADEIRA STEVE88

Il pass, waiting on Marvel Vs Capcom 2.

  • VIP0R

Major, you said on your Pod cast that Gel: Set & Match was for 400 Points?

  • VIP0R

    Opps I ment Blazing Birds for 400 points… =]

  • dbldn

Hey Major… how about some retro titles added to the Arcade? There were a ton at launch… but now that well has gone dry. Please talk to the team and encourage them to look for more (good) retro stuff!

  • Firecrest

Not satisfied with the recent arcade release? Pick up Raiden Fighters Aces for $20. That’s what I’ve been playing lately, and it’s pretty great. It’s a compilation of 3 classic soot ‘em ups and well worth the money. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support online play but that can easily be overlooked.

Gel might actually be worth the 800 Points price but the same cannot be said about Blazing Birds. It’s an extremely simple XNA game that would not even stand out from the Community Games crowd. It should be there for 200 Points, not on Arcade for 800. This, again, pulls down the overally quality of the XBLA lineup in my view.

  • Crimson Sin

I was really hoping for Magic the Gathering: Duel of the Planeswalkers this week becuse the trailer for it says Spring 2009 >.< Have you heard anything about the release date Major?

  • Exu

Looks like a load of crap. Again.
Sure hoping Raiden Fighters Aces comes out here. It’s only been, what, several years?

  • Mr Clean kw

So is Blazing Birds 400 or 800? The splash page in the link says 400, but Major said 800.

    400 is a must buy.

  • HeLLeVeN

WTH??? Blazing Birds listed @ 400MS points on xbox.com

    http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/b/blazingbirdsxboxlivearcade/default.htm

  • MACPH1ST0

Yeah Major, you need to do another edit, because xbox.com is showing Blazing Birds as being 400 points. And it’s barely even worth that – I mean seriously, robot badminton??? What’s next, the sequel Blazing Sliders, aka robot shuffleboard?

  • ZerOSomA

wow can’t remember the last time i saw a game for 400 points

  • Major Nelson

I updated the price. BB is 400 points.

  • VIP0R

Awesome, look forward to checking it out! =]

  • JaggedCrane

    Why do screenshots require silverlight?

  • ItsNymo

hmm, Robot Badminton? For 400 MSP? WITH Achievements? Very tempting…

I’ll check it out, but I know I’ll REALLY be checking out Gel: Set & Match. The guys at Gastronauts are great, and can’t wait to play their latest!

  • Serblander

Gel looks interesting. From the screenshot i saw it reminds me of Saturn Bomberman. If the gameplay is half as good it would make for a very entertaining game. Here’s hoping.

  • Spinoff90

Figures. Checked this on Monday, Blazing Birds is listed as 800, I spend 400 points on something else and now find out it is really 400 and would need to buy more points for it -_-

Get your information right before posting you damn fool =P
