Hey Major, 3rd Broken X-Box in under 15 months. Getting tired of this. You know what happens, I send it in, and get sent back an older model X-Box that inevitably breaks again. Can you help me out, because this isn’t fair to me or anyone else who this has happened to.

Where is the Tomb Raider content? I don’t see it.

Why must those that service overseas be punished? Me and my husband are proudly serving our countries and yet we cannot download new content for games? We have american xboxes and american accounts yet we are in Belgium, and Afghan and we cannot download the new maps for COD WOW. XBOX lives response, “move back to the states,” thanks for the support Xbox live, the next time my hubby comes back from trying to find the Al Qaeda, he can play by himself since he can’t play with all the people that have the new maps.

Great day for DLC. I was playing Big Surf Island all morning. Highly recommend it to anyone that’s a Burnout fan.

Haven’t downloaded the CoD maps yet but I’m sure I’ll get them at some point.

Happy to see some free Saints 2 DLC. That game is a lot of fun.

Wonder if the CodWaw maps will have the same effect on the Top Ten rankings that the Mythic Maps had on Halo 3. If not, perhaps we can finally lay that “Halo 3 in only #1 because of its new maps” argument to rest?

Yeah, I hear your pain, GuerillaDust. I just got my 2nd RRoD in 25 months *sigh* (still nothing compared to some of the RRoD horror stories I’ve heard about though). Luckily I live within a couple hours of a repair center, so hopefully I’ll get a replacement back in 3 days like the last time. I had the same problem though: when I got my first replacement, I noticed that it had the EXACT same manufacture date on it as my original one. You’d think by now that they’d realize they’re only perpetuating this seemingly endless cycle by giving people replacements that are just as bad if not worse than what broke in the first place! I understand that they’re probably just trying to recycle 360s or send out excess stock at the repair centers to save money, but this huge financial gaping wound is NEVER going to start to close if they don’t give people better-running later models as replacements.

When you get back your XBOX 360 from repair – SELL IT AT A GAME STORE!

Then just buy a new one as the newer model (Jasper), runs much cooler & therefore will be much much less likely to RRoD.

I recently bought a new console as the old launch model had died & i was out of warranty – & i can tell u that the difference between them was night & day.
Old launch unit (Xenon) was loud (DVD + Fans), & ran v.hot – but the new one i have is much quieter & is much much cooler!

Seriously – anyone in this position should do the above (unless you like sending your console in for repair over & over again).

From what I’ve read, the German version of the map packs don’t include the Nazi Zombie maps, thus the lower price.

@ K1LLER HORNET: When you got your new Jasper 360, did you get a new 3-year RRoD warranty for it too, or is that no longer available with the newer models? I’m thinking about doing this, but while the new Jaspers are less likely to get a RRoD, it could still happen, so I’d like to have that coverage if possible.

A note to everyone getting the Burnout Paradise Big Surf Island DLC, you need to download Burnout Paradise 1.9 off the XBLM as well in order for the Island to show up. (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf001d-0000-4000-8000-000045410806)

After you download 1.9, you can go to your HDD and delete any previous versions such as 1.8, 1.7, 1.6, etc.

e, i think ur slackin you should at least tweet the new dlc for the other games lol

this is dumb… once again, the military folk overseas get shafted with unavailable maps…never was a problem before MP1 (hell, makin worked) but now they wanna change something that was never broke… now guys gotta wait till they make it back to the states *which isnt that easy* and take their xboxes with them just to download these maps…

I know how you feel. I’ve been complaining to Xbox support and MN about the ip blocking for about a year now. The best I can tell you is setup up a vpn connection, like I did, so that XBL thinks you are in the States. It will cost you about $155/year if you go with a service like StrongVPN, but you will no longer have blocked XBL content and you won’t have to deal with online stores canceling orders because your ip address is outside the U.S.

however i don’t think i like the hell hounds addition much.

I guess this “Zombie Mode” is missing for us again. It wasn’t in the full game nor in the first pack.

Wow! EA has gone all out, I loaded BP two days ago (for some quick racing and ramming & crashing – didn’t actually play the game, but saw the new store and how to make online matches – AWESOME! I missed the Toy Car intro, but it looks fun. I hope I have time to play BP this weekend.

Also I JUST listened to the 2009 E3 Xbox 360 Media Briefing file and TOTALLY awesome Beatles opening! But at timecode 40:50 – 40:59 had me sitting at my desk looking like a raptor homing in on its prey with my head tilted sideways squinting and my right ear out listening for location-location-location! O….M……G! Crackdown 2 sixteen players, 4 player co-op, different dev – “Firefly, Cloaking Device and Rocket Tag full force.” s’all I beg for. >;)

Why in the world is WAW maps cheaper in Germany? Wah Wah Wah! LOL. Just kidding. I’m trying to be like a baby like everyone else on this page. I do agree though that having your system fail multiple times over is ridiculous. My nephew sent in his 360 7 times, yes 7. He just bought an Arcade 2 weeks ago cause he was not getting any gaming in.

As stated above, the German pack is MISSING ONE MAP. The German version of World at War does not include the zombie mode because it’s too violent, so the pack doesn’t include the zombie map, either. Yeah, sucks to live here.

I have been trying to get the new COD map pack but it will not complete the download. It get to 99% then says “Can’t download map pack” status code: 80070017. I’m stationed in Naples, Italy so I checked the availability “Availible in all Xbox Live regions except Japan” So what’s the deal? How can I get the DL to complete?

lol, what is it with this censoring in Germany? So its ok to let people go to war and kill real people, but they must censor video games..just doesnt make sense to me.

We have our own “rating system” here… so games with much violence (like Wolverine or Prototype) will be banned from the shops or get at least an M rating. The rating system sucks anyway and I’m still wondering how we can have our own rating now that there’s the EU with the PEGI-System. Always thought the EU-Rights are above the ones in your country… oh well.

COD:WAW had to be “softened” for us too. The Hakenkreuz (crooked cross) had to be taken out (as in other games like the old Commandos for the PC) and of course ppl won’t run around burning when hit by the Flamethrower…

Beside that, we have some discussion going on in the politicans area to get a law to forbid games that “have something like a main goal to kill or threaten other ppl” and put a punishment on publishing and selling those games over here. Totally ridiculous nowadays.

Good we have ye olde import shops, so we can at least play the games (but still miss the add-ons) ^.-

I’m in Canada and I wasn’t able to add the Cod: WaW map pack 2 to my queue on Xbox.com marketplace, “Not available in your region”. However, I was able to download it when I went to Game Marketplace on my console. What is going on?

The Nazi zombie map is awesome though I hate teddy bears and hell hounds are a pain. I also am in love with Corrosion.

StaticRest easy fix.. get another gamertag but a gamertag from the country your in then see if the content is in that part of world if so then buy it from that countries store in the marketplace with what ever money your husband serves with a creditcard or go to store buy points and buy it though the account you mad then switch over to your account your StaticRest account and you can play W@W maps on that account without having to worry.. just remmber that the maps are on the other account you can still use these maps on any gamertag on that system.. so that will help him out and he can play with friends.. dont worry.. Its easyer then you think.. Anyways.. I am heading off… Customer server can be a real bumber sometimes.. but this is how you fix it this is how i got games what doesnt hit canada and i have a usa gamertag.. lol..

Big Surf Pack was worth it. Criterion is doing a great job keeping that game alive.

N3WB13 R0N: Ya I did exactly what you said, I called microsoft back to complain again, and the supervisor told me about it, and it does work. I kind of sucks I gotta pay euro rates for things, but hey I got the maps enjoyed DXP weekend!
