    I’m surprised they’re sticking with “Garou” for the XBLA release of Mark of the Wolves, I thought they would rename it “Fatal Fury” like they did with the Dreamcast version. I’ll be surprised if anyone who isn’t a hardcore fighting fan realises it’s a Fatal Fury game.

    @Drunk Ste – Not that many people would recognize it even if it was named Fatal Fury, the series wasn’t popular in the US. All hardcore fighting fans already know what it is and will be picking it up Wednesday and I’m sure all the pictures/ads of the game on Marketplace will feature Terry Bogard prominently, so the rest of the people will catch on from that.

    @TaygetaVendetta – True but the earlier games in the Fatal Fury series were ported to the Mega Drive/Genesis and SNES in the early 90′s during the success of Street Fighter 2. Some gamers actually remember the name but only the SNK fans know what Garou is.

    Great show. But I just need to point one thing out. As a frequent flyer and a Londoner, travelling between the different terminals only takes 40 minutes if you decide to drive between them. And that is not advised, especially since there is the Heathrow Express and also the subway, or as we brits like to call it, The Tube.

    You are more likely to lose your luggage in Terminal 5, than spend 40 minutes travelling if you use the dedicated transport options available to you.

    They wont fix the dashboard lag. they will only speed it up. speeding the dashboard up wont fix the lag.

    One thing I wanted to ask about the show is the sound levels. Maybe its my hearing? But Major you sound a lot stronger and clearer than e. Often I had to turn up the volume just to hear what e was saying. And the music at the end was way louder than the rest of the podcast. I’ve noticed this happen before as well – varying sound levels. But a great podcast in any event.

    Tusken Raiders, funny bit. With Crackdown 2 well on its way, are we going to see a worldwide advertisement – with numbered orbs in tv (game) commercials, web ads, tv programs etc?

    As for Crackdown 2 “grappling hook, grappling hook, grappling hook” (under my breath) oh and a remote controlled explosion device(s).

    Good show, good show. The Crackdown music is a bit unfair as it makes me feel bad for playing other games when I have work to be done and orbs to be found.

    IT’S NOT THE GUIDE THAT’S SLOW. IT’S MARKETPLACE. THE REASON BEING IT CHECKS YOUR DOWNLOAD HISTORY EVERY TIME YOU GO IN THERE. MAYBE SOME HAVE SLOW GUIDES BUT THE ISSUE MOST PEOPLE ARE REFERRING TO IS THE MARKETPLACE AND THEY DON’T KNOW ANY BETTER SO THEY SAY IT’S THE GUIDE. BY THE WAY I’M NOT YELLING I JUST WANT THIS TO BE READ SO THE TEAM MIGHT GET WIND THAT IT’S NOT THE GUIDE…IT’S MARKETPLACE!!!

    Awesome that they finally realize there is lag in the dashboard. But in True MS style instead of fixing it (or releasing a fix they probably already made now) they will hold onto it once they deem fit.

    And if you have no idea what I am talking about just remember all those security updates that you get for windows monthly most of those are done and ready LONG before they release.

    It’s little bit of everything, it all depends on who you are asking. Me, I know it is both of those plus my games on my HD. Those png files are big and should NOT be over 80KB when possible. I guess that is why I agree we should have options to how we want ‘our’ dashboard, NXE, user interface to look. At times, I wish mine was ‘text only’, although I am a graphics “Ooh look at that!” type. But for speed and efficiency, text only would be very nice. Adjusting font size, removing some things (any channel you want, as many as you want, leaving at least one). Something like rocketdock (http://rocketdock.com) would be awesome, if possible. I’m really surprise a ‘web design’ approach has not been initiated, but then here comes NXE 2.00.a. After playing the PS3 extensively, NXE totally rules. The ONLY thing Wii has over NXE is their News Channel, I rarely read ‘world news’, but the Wii makes it VERY interesting with the gui. Sony has something similar, but it is not fun at all and you’re better off just going to your PC (my personal opinion). Hmmm…. (I took a wrong turn). I think the new NXE update is going to fix a lot of things.

    Good to hear you Major, thanks for the show and hot impressions. I just have a strange feeling regarding the dashboard updates. You said last year that with the NXE, the xboxlive will be much more easier to update and that players will not have to wait one or two moment in the year for improvements but 6 month later that ‘s not (or it does not seem) to be the reality.

    I guess the guide quickening is good. But could something be done about fixing the 360 controller d-pad? Is Mad Catz going to do it?
    All that needs to be done is to remove the plastic inside the hole that the pad bumps up against when pressed. If you guys made a good d-pad for fighting games, there would quite a large number of people who would go out and buy it. If you believe this d-pad issue isn’t true, just go to youtube and search for “360 d-pad problem”. I certainly hope this is addressed in time for Tekken 6.
