So looking forward to this, xbox went off today to be repaired after falling victim to the red rings of death, but a mate is leading me his so can play this!!

Wow, This was supposed to come out in JUNE….now its the second week of JULY…..

And all through out June we had GARBAGE games week after week.

XBL ARCADE = TRASH

Hooray! I can’t wait.

$15.00?? I’ll have to try before I buy it. Maybe one of my buddy can get it and I’ll ask them. $15 sounds like a lot.

Yeah! I saw it on their twitter this morning. I was sad it wasn’t June, but hey, 6 days! I’ve been saving 1200 GS for about 6 months now waiting, always waiting.

YES! Been waiting for this one ever since it was announced. Loved BF1942 on PC.

And for those complaining that it didn’t come out in June like originally stated by EA, just remember, there’s no guarantee that it’s Microsoft’s fault. EA/DICE may have been the one(s) that delayed it. Just be happy that it’s here now.

i personally think XBLA games have got a lot better recently(still waiting on details for monkey island)…i can’t wait for this game,its gonna be sweet

I’m surprised to read about some of the complaints already about this title. So it’s coming out in July instead of June… We’re still better off than the PC version which has been delayed until September (I was pleased that they didn’t push back the Arcade release simply due to the fact of it’s PC delay). And the pricing… $15 for this title? I’d spend more then $15 going to the movies. I feel it’s a great value for the entertainment value as long as I put in more than 4 hours (equivalent to 2 movie tickets.) Just my 2 cents. Sick of some of the complaints I’ve been seeing around here lately.

1200 MS POints? Awesome, I was expecting it to cost 1600 MS Points. Excellent deal!

I am waiting for the PC version for sure, as I sold my 360 recently.

There wont be a PC version. There wasn’t a PC version of BF:Bad Company.

Plus EA thinks all PC gamers are dirty pirates.

1200 points is probably a nice price for BF 1943. It’s got big maps, airplanes, tanks, jeeps, boats, sniper class, rifleman, machine gun dude, rocket launcher, dynamite, anti air guns, air raids. It’s using the Frostbite engine which allows for alot of destruction on the battlefield. You can level houses and drive through trees like you could in BF: Bad Company.
Don’t complain about the price if you haven’t tried the demo first. If the game doesn’t appeal to you, then don’t buy it. I’m sure alot of people will like it and if it’s as good as it looks, people will be playing it for a very long time, making 1200 points a very nice price indeed.

Gunna have to fork out some hefty Point. 1200 for this and 1600 for Gears thats 2800 Points in One month. Xbox never disappoints although this summer for retail has sucked big time

That is a fantastic price, makes me think some people didn’t play the original on the PC. I was absolutely hooked on that, well worth the asking price for that as I feel the asking price for this is good. To be fair, for what you are getting I am surprised it is not a 1600 point title.

I’m seeing some of the worst comments here. It comes out in July when they said June… WOW, games/movies get delayed all the time! This game is going to revolutionize the way people view the Xbox Live Arcade. Something of this magnitude is HUGE for the XBLA. Somebody said nobody’s going to be playing it after a few months? Ha! This game is going to have a huge following AT LEAST until the release of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. This arcade title is going to be around for quite some time.

BF1942 is one of my fav online games of all time, here’s hoping BF1943 is gonna live up to expectations.

Wonder if we’ll see DLC of other BF1942 maps… or even Russian front/European campaign versions of the game… that would be cool!

I only have 2400 ms points left to survive me the summer (student life) recently bought sam and max on XBLA (great game) but the rest of my ms points were reserved for monkey island and marvel vs. capcom 2. I almost forgot about this game! Now I’m going to have to make a choice, I can’t not have MvsC2 nor Monkey island, i can’t choose!

I’ll be camping out in front of my xbox at 6am on release day. =) BF:1943 will blow away any other arcade game released on XBLA. The other arcade titles will look like community games compared to BF:1943. Yes, it’s that awesome! (^_^)

1200 points is a good deal for this game. Its worth more than most other games on Live.

Each map have hours, weeks of replayability.

Oh.. the game is a remake of some BF1942 maps using the engine of BF Bad company.

I’ll just stick with Battlefield Heroes, or even Battlefield 1942 for that matter – since 1943 just looks like a vastly stripped down remake of it.

True, July instead of June is no big deal, but honestly, I’m pretty disappointed with XBLA’s games lately.
Where are the original games like Shadow Complex?
But seriously, we have a TON of fighting games and brawlers, and Geometry Wars-style games, but where are the SPORTS games???
NHL 3-on-3 was disappointing. Where are the re-imagined classics like NHL ’94 with updated graphics, or Baseball Stars (again with updated classics)?
I think this is a missed opportunity for XBLA.
We obviously can’t have the Nintendo classics, but there is plenty of opportunity to re-do classics without making them pixel-for-pixel ports of the originals.

@Eviltattoo: Shadow Complex isn’t finished yet, although I think they said it’d be out with the next 2 or so months.

I think they’ve been saving some of the Arcade games for the Summer of Arcade dealio coming up, Turtles in Time, Shadow Complex, Splosion Man and more.

I’m not understanding the negativity towards this game. It’s going to be a good game and one of the best on the arcade. Battlefield fans will carry the game in numbers and the Coral Sea map will be unlocked fairly quickly. Hopefully it will be as good as 1942 and hopefully the graphics only enhance the game.

Doesn’t this use the Bad Company engine? Couldn’t it have just been a map pack?

It’s funny how butthurt some people get just because everyone else doesn’t like the same games they do. Guess what? Everyone has their own preferences! For instance, I would much rather save my points for some of the upcoming Summer of Arcade games (btw Major when are we gonna get an announcement about those?) that I(!) think are going to be more fun and entertaining than spend them on yet another war shooter. But hey, if you’re a Battlefield fan, then have fun!

Battlefield 1943 looks good, but isn’t something I plan on buying. Has anyone heard anything about Zombie Apocalypse, like a release date? That’s something I want to check out.

Ah, let me rephrase that: I can never go back to competitive console gaming. I’m still fine with singleplayer games (especially third-person/open world, as the PC ports of those tend to be garbage), and I only keep coming back to Halo because it’s one of the only decent splitscreen games this generation.

Otherwise, CS:S, TF2 and Warcraft 3 all the way!

I think that the games on xbox live have all been priced high lately. This is just one of many.

I almost wish they made these arcade games more expensive. That or release a bigger harddrive than the 120gb as I have to delete some DLC/whatever else every so often just to keep some free space.

@Silver89 (I refuse to to use number to replace letters) I hope they get cheaper, 1200 points should be the absolute max price for an arcade game, yet I foresee Shadow Complex (Epic’s new Arcade game) being 1600 just because it’s by Epic.

I’m downloading it right now. Check the ‘ads’ in the game marketplace. I couldn’t find it listed under the XBLA games but I found an ad for it there & pressing X on it brought me to the screen to purchase it.

Keep in mind that I’m in Canada, so the ad may not be on the other dashboards.
