  • clarky456

Or you could play the free flash version on the internet…

  • wiirule111

I’m a 360 lover, but Sony have better deals on PSN than those on Live.
Last weeek Super Stardust HD (1080p) was sold with 80% rebate.

The old games like N+ and others should be sold at 50% off atleast. I may not buy N+ because its not 400 points to make a point. The low rebate makes me wanna buy another 800 point game instead.

I have used over 41.000 points on Live so far on games and add-ons in 1.5 year, so i’m a good supporter. ;)

  • Chitwood7412

I have never tried this game, will this week. Even though BF 1943 comes out weednesday I may be able to fit it in. Also Major don’t you mean it will be Available until Monday the 13th?

    lame well lame.

  • noddegamra uk

    Good game, crap “deal”.

  • Ollyh

What the?… they said on N+ official blog that it would be 50% off, come on M$ this is just plain stupid.

  • JaggedCrane

I was hoping for 50% off.

  • L0rN

It`s a great game with a great value. If you can`t afford it, then play the worse free version on the internet. I love this game.

  • Sneeches

not a bad game but not enough of a discount for a 2yr old game.

  • Captain Bluey

I’m sure I saw a post about it being 50% off. Oh well. Its a great game, and well worth the money.

  • Captain Bluey

Will there be a show this week Major?

  • SpiralGray

I’ve gotta agree with the majority. I was ready to buy this game at 400 points. These deals need to get better.

  • Sogeman

The Game sure is worth the 800 Points but if the official blog says 50% off, I won’t buy because M$ thinks they can f*** us.

  • N3WB13 R0N

Guys calm down major probly got the information wrong some how or another from his sorce.. So lets see if they fix this.. normaly microsoft tries to please the customer.. not make them hate them.. ether way lets see if it updates on the marketplace ether way i clicked on the link he had there its still 800 points so the deal isnt in effect so lets see what happens.. it has been a long week lets give major a break..

  • Sogeman

On my Xbox it shows as 560 Points so prob. no Error.

  • Dubbington

As a few others have mentioned, the dev’s blog said it was going to be 50% off. What’s the go?

  • Sogeman

It seems MS wanted more money. But hey I don’t have to buy it, I just wanted to.

  • Anonymous

Microsoft’s stupid point system is … STUPID. They didn’t make it 400 points because they wanted people to overbuy and go for 1000 points. So in reality, you will be spending more than 560 points to get this game.

  • moocow21

Anything less than a 400 point price cut is not really worth it IMO. 560 points for N+ is a solid deal in and of itself, but most people would have to buy 800-1000 points to get it because of the (what seems to me to be maliciously greedy) points purchasing system.

  • N3WB13 R0N

after looking on the marketplace sorce was right after all.. Thanks @Sogeman.. So not worth 560 points though.. looks sort of like a side scroller mixed up a stick figures.. bah.. not my style at all i like side scrollers but not games like this.. I might of thought of buying it for 400 though maybe..

  • tabicat

A proper deal-of-the-week would be to take an overpriced 1200-point game and offer it for 800 points.

  • oO MG81 Oo

DevilTriggerEX hit the nail on the head with his comment. The points system is horrible for customers.
I was considering this game at 400MSP but even that seemed a little high. 560MSP is a definite no deal. You can play this game any time you want for free on the PC.

  • Shadow0810

To all of you complaining about the free PC version. I have both and N+ is worlds away better. Online Co-op? check. Ranked matches? check. etc etc. And look, it was a great deal at 800 msp. Yes, it should be 400, but ya know what? It’s a freakin discount. Steam’s are better, sure, but its a discount nonetheless. If you’re not interested enough to pay 560 for it, don’t buy it. If you don’t have 800 pts but always wanted to try the game, buy it. I bought it at 800 and it was beyond worth it.

  • Sogeman

ARGH!! We just assumed it would be 1/2 price like EVERY OTHER deal-of-the-week! We’re not sure what’s going on.. this sucks!

This is actually the tragicomic end of a series of shafts, N+ was originally supposed to be the deal-of-the-week for March break! But after being cleared for that we got bumped two or three times..

    Sorry Everyone!
Wait, we just checked our emails — we didn’t just assume, we were _told_ it would be offered for 400 points. Hooray, it was Microsoft’s fault, not ours!!

Microsoft gets to decide because its their system. Really though, what is the point of offering 30% off of a $10 game?! This really sucks, we were hoping the deal would get N+ on the “most popular” list for a week :(

Funny, I was just preparing to “correct” everyone’s assumptions with that first comment they made, but I wouldn’t have known about that second comment had it not been for you, Sogeman.

Looks like it really is a miniature clusterfuck.

  • Shonk

Another case of The left hand not knowing what the right is doing

  • Sogeman

no a case of Microsoft getting greedy

  • Number 905

So does Microsoft still go by the idea that developers set the prices for marketplace content, even in the face of things like this?

  • Sogeman

Question is: Will the change or bury it?

  • BrooksterMax

Seems like the developers were anticipating a 400 price point, but clearly did not have the final say…..

What happened to Half Price off? 800 divided by 2 = 400 so it should be 400MS PTS……… pass at this price.

@number 905. Not according to the developers of the new mad balls xbox arcade game if you listen to the interview here http://uk.gamespot.com/pages/features/ukpodcast/index.php?tag=topslot;title;2 You will hear that they are awiting pricing from Microsoft.

  • r3dreck

400, I would have gotten it.

  • Surly x Duff

Bummer, thought it was going to be 50% off. I was all ready to buy it, now I’ll wait and see if this is an error on the developer, or on MS. Obviously, the two sides need to talk. I have a nice shiny 1600 point card I’m waiting to dust off here once it gets sorted out.

  • Sogeman

Microsoft have let us know that it _should_ be 50% off (400 points), it was an error which is in the process of being corrected.

    by http://www.metanetsoftware.com/blog/?p=334

  • Sogeman

I just think they tried if anyone would complain. ^^

  • Major Nelson

The price has been corrected to 400 points. If you are not seeing that reflected on Xbox.com or the dashboard, please hang on…we’re working on it.

Thanks for the info Major, keep up the good work!

Hopefully the people who already bought it at 560 will be refunded the difference promptly.

  • Major Nelson

If you purchased N+ for 560 point, call support. They’ll confirm you purchased it for 560 points and get you set up with a refund. Update: No phone call needed. We’re going to take issue refunds automatically.

  • twisted poke

I will be picking this up for sure. On a side note, you guys sure have a hard time getting your pricing correct. Pretty unprofessional really…

  • r3dreck

Got my points ready, waiting for the pricing change!

  • w00tteen74

woohoo! Thank you, Microsoft, for catching and fixing this error so quickly!

  • Ollyh

Alright I take back my words. Its 400 now good good.

  • MrGreen13

N+ is a really good game…even at 800ms points, but at 400ms points anybody who doesnt already have this should grab it while they can.

  • BrooksterMax

Agree with sentiments above, I already have this and it would be well worth a dip at 400.

  • UndyingZombie

I hope so about the automatic refunds Major. I’m on the phone with support right now trying to get my refund. Being put on hold ever few minutes is not helping very much. The way it’s going on my end I’ll doubt I’ll get it. Well what do you know denied for some bogus reason too. While being on hold for most of the time I signed in here to let you guys know what happened. I’m pretty pissed at the moment but if you want to know what happened here it is. I called up support after awhile a waiting 30 mins or so I get connected to a guy who I can understand then he tells me that its not his department & he was going to transfer me to billing. Put on hold after a few more mins I get connected to this lady I could barley understand but managed to pull it off. She asked me my account info then then put me on hold, asked me what happened put me on hold, asked me what the difference was I wanted refunded & told 160 MS points put on hold, asked me where did I find out this information & I told her majornelson.com back on hold, asked me where I purchased the game & I told her a link from majornelson.com that brought me to the Xbox live market place put back on hold for 10 to 15 mins. Now at this point I had it with the holding game and she comes back to tell me that since Majornelson.com is not a certified Microsoft website that I have to contact support on your site and get my refund back from you. WTF!? Really… What do you guys think?

  • UndyingZombie

So what do you say Major can I have my points back? LMAO

I want to thank you guys. I love coming in here and reading all your stupid complaints on the deal of the week. Like MS owes YOU something. Thanks for the laughs you cheap b@stards! oh and get a job or two.

  • BrooksterMax

We love you too, Carnage :)
