Awesome. Just started listening to the show and got the code for the PAX 2009 Tee redeemed.

  • acsofspades

If windows didn’t crash I would of redeemed the T-shirt, anyways great show so far.

  • Spargo CXVII

Oh, cool… Thanks. I was thinking no show because of PAX.

  • PAT2K9

Thanks for posting the show Major.
The ‘Enforcement on Xbox LIVE: Tales From The Din’ audio was great. Thanks for sharing it.

  • Halwende

It was great being able to listen to Stepto’s panel – thanks Major!

  • AblativMeatshld

Major, I hate to point it out, but 1:56:52 (the stated start of Stepto’s panel) is 31 minutes and 14 seconds after the show’s run-time says it ends…

  • BillyMagnumFOD

lemme guess the first 20 people get free avatar clothes….lol

  • Major Nelson

I fixed the start and end time of the Panel.

Hope you guys enjoyed the show.

  • DoItForTheLOLz

Panel was great. I learned quite a bit. I really must thank all of you guys for your dedication. Other services (which I will not mention) don’t even come close to what you guys do for this service. If it wasn’t for people like Major Nelson, E, Stepto and many others, the service we have would just be another run-of-the-mill, free online network that has nothing in it’s core. A shallow attempt at producing half working networking software that is completely different on every game.

You guys continue to show us that Xbox Live truly is the greatest solution to console gamers and I can’t thank you enough. Thanks for the “unity”. For that, I give you my money every year without any hesitation.

  • AblativMeatshld

The show was great, and the Stepto panel was exactly as informative and entertaining as I expected something from Stepto to be.

Now I just need to wait for the “Best of Stepto” file to be released with the un-bleeped audio…

I still am dying to know what that one, looooooooooong beep was during his first appearance…

  • ReVmAnNL

    Saving the show for 2night!

  • Mcmax3000

Can’t wait to start listening to the show on the ride home, though it might be a pretty short show for me since I was at Stepto’s panel. Very entertaining & highly recommend everybody that wasn’t there give it a listen. I may just listen again on the plane.

  • BrooksterMax

A very entertaining show, the stepto conference and QandA session was highly amusing and informative.

I think anecdotal pieces work best, we all know games but working in the industry and the real events are often the most interesting and funny aspects!

I loved the piece about focusing webcams on pet cats! :)

  • Sogeman

Yeah get Bioshock and Civ Rev but not on Games on Demand get them whatever at amazon.

  • MeS FEAR

I enjoyed the show major thank you!

  • Def one

    Thanks Major.

  • a peeking duck

Stepto’s panel was fun and informative, thanks!

  • fastmode

Stepto was unusually funny here. He’s always informative and entertaining, but kudos to an excellent job, Stepto.

  • IconicSoulJA

I also would like to take this moment to vote up the idea of including a section on Sexist, Racist and Homophobic speech to the complaint section. So many times I have to deal with Racist people in Gears 1 in the past and Gears 2. The party chat has eliminated it for the most part but still a problem if you are playing by yourself with strangers.

My rep got lowered because I ended up on a team of racists and then jumped out in Gears 1.

  • PsychoFemm

Great show! I loved Stepto’s Panel. Really good information and anecdotes.

  • Yukon Cornelius

Kind of sad that the name-checker didn’t find the substring within the gamertag discussed.

  • Warrengonline

I haven’t listened to the show just yet, but I have a few questions for Stepto as I’ve had three people on my friend’s list get suspended. One, he knows what he did – I even warned him before he got suspended. But two others – they are super good fighters (Street Fighter: HF, IV, HDRm, etc fighting games)- I fight one in person every season when time allows and i know they donot cheat – It’s a disgrace. My point, some people send BAD feedback when they lose over and over – even myself have had bad feedback (UNO, UMK3 and Street Fighter – on my good days). My ‘trash talk’ in UNO was “Oh, you Skipped me the last turn, well guess what, Merry Christmas… DRAW FOUR!” I remember that distinctly in later half of 2008 when I used to check my stats weekly. Do we have ANYTHING in place for false feedback? My friends and myself play hard, practice hard and do not cheat – why play if you’re going to cheat? Honestly is it not fair for any anonymous-wanna-be gamer to post: Quit Early, Trash Talk, etc., especially if it is not true. I look forward to hearing more resolve on this issue. Thanks.

  • Warrengonline

    @IconicSoulJA
Hmmm… Wow, in Gears 1? I haven’t had that in a while, but then I only play with friends who are ‘dogs’ from all backgrounds and we do not put up with that. The only racial thing myself and a friend noticed, was in a game of UNO a few months back. The gamer had a racist name spelled out he or she did not say a word, they just sat there quietly – I guess for shock value, my friend eventually asked me if I reported them (some three days later), so I reported the name. The name did not bother me one bit, but not its something I would want my nieces or nephews or deaf sister to see. ANY ‘clever’ person can type in NE12K1ll (read it) or K1LLK1LLK1LL, is Xbox360 like eBay, no bots patrolling with a filter look up known combinations? Why isn’t there a policy on what names are acceptable and punishable by a three month suspension if it break policy?

Once every 3 or 4 months I ask my friends to give me feedback – it actually resets on some of my friends and I ask them to do it again. Not exactly a remedy, but it doesn’t hurt. After good games where we all get along, we actually request strangers to leave us good feedback and vice versa.
