    first! and downloading trial! =D

  • ageha stg

    ah great, demo added to the queue

    hope this is as awesome as the old ones :]

  • wiirule111

    The gameplay is nice, but i think i’ll skip it because it dont have any online mode.

  • Thief000

    I thought FIRST posts got automatically deleted?
    Anyway nice blast from the bast! LOVE that theme untill it drives you insane for 100 levels.

  • wolfzero01

    this is off topic, but does anyone know when the Brutal Legend demo is coming out?

  • ageha stg

    @wolfzero01

    September 17th is what I have heard

  • DavidGX

    Cute game, not worth 800 points though.

  • RuairiAU

    @Major
    The game is advertised on xbox marketplace (web version) as co-op local and xbox live. But this is a single player game. Feeling a bit misled.

  • Thief000

    Huh? I think you are misleading us sir. It IS a two player game.

  • GuZ1977

    No online co-op?
    Burn in Hell Taito!!

  • Geen82

    I thought the VS mode was online… I guess not? Either way, this game is still great.

  • Exu

    Hang on a minute, OFFLINE co-op? You do know this is 2009?

    Well that’s a dealbreaker, now it’s only worth 400. I’ll pass, sod the lazy bastards.

  • KMetalmind

    This game is pure win. It only needs online play to be perfect :) )

  • NaturlBrnKlr

    I am pretty sure my friend that was going to buythis won’t…since to play co-op we will need to be on the same machine anyway, why bother both buying it ;)

  • Mike1981

    @GuZ1977: +1, Insightful.

    @Exu: word up.

  • Langis Langley

    No online play = booo. >=(

  • Warrengonline

    @Langis Langley
    Say what!? I felt the same way about Alien Hominid AFTER I beat it. I still love the game though.

    @Exu
    Well said, but I’ll be picking this up later, possibly. Bust-A-Move (later this month supposedly) is a game I can careless if I have a human opponent, but it would be nice to have one online. I do not see how ANY game is released without the Online Co-Op option these days.

  • metallicorphan

    i got a gamerpic just for downloading and playing the trial :)

  • TaygetaVendetta

    @Warrengonline

    Puzzle Bobble will have online multiplayer. http://www.gamerbytes.com/2009/09/puzzle_bobble_live_confirmed_c.php

  • Exu

    @NaturlBrnKlr – Exactly! Online play encourages separate people to buy the same game to play together! Simples.

    @TaygetaVendetta – Nice. What is a shame is that Taito are yet again not packaging the full game.
    For the initial price, which I would assume to be 800, we’re getting the core mechanics and 135 boards, and then it’s another 240 for another 135. And what’s the betting this is a very very small download? Say… 108KB?
    Still, at least they’re not hiding it this time unlike Arkanoid.

  • Warrengonline

    @TaygetaVendetta
    Thanks! AWESOME LINK!! I’m not sure why this game ALWAYS pulls me in, but WOW! Online Multiplayer is going to rock – no more bumping elbows and cheating (on me). I HOPE I can turn the avatar off as it is not needed in a game like this. Thanks!

  • Shonk

    I got it as i love bubble bobble
    but its a bit overpriced

    its still running in an emulator
    from the arcade rom that has been hacked
    to add a better character resolution overlay
    the actual game graphics are untouched

    the new levels are nice and all
    but they could have upgraded the pixels for the rest of the game
    and not just the characters

    also they where lazy not adding online support

  • RuairiAU

    sorry, my bad – was talking about command & conquer; posted in the wrong place.

  • Serblander

    Bit pissed it has no online support (esp for 4-P modes) but other than that i’m still very happy with the purchase.

  • GriffGB

    Can’t believe it has no online. Surely two player online would be used far more than local 4 player. It may even sell more copies if it had it.

  • Arken Mintt

    Hey – has anyone managed to get past Lv72? Seems impossible!

  • Ozzzy189

    Shonk is totally wrong. this is not an emu game. I have had all the bubble games in the past, (not now), and also have the wii ‘plus’ one. this is better, it has better bubble linkage and a better jump mechanic, and it shows you what letters you need in the ‘arrange mode’. i think 800 points is fair, there are extra stages to buy too, but the wii also had this.

  • Shinji257

    @Arken — you made it farther than i have. I havn’t been able to get past level 30.

  • Shonk

    @Arken — yes got to 100

    you have to move to the edge to make bubbles and bounce up on them
    look on youtube for a vid

  • HFC

    @ Shonk

    Totally agree mate. This is a 4/10 game and it disappoints me. I love Bubble Bobble and I bought this just because I love it so much. But it’s a lazy conversion. It’s poor. The control system IMO is not the best, the collision detection is wonky. Hell, I’d have been happy to have got the brilliant version that was available on Gameboy Advance onto the 360. This convert is sloppy and I’m surprised at Taito. At 400 points I’d think it was a little sloppy but at 800 (given some of the excellant stuff we have seen recently on live arcade) I feel a little ripped off.

  • wiirule111

    I decided to skip Bubble Bobble because of lack of online co-op.
    Puzzle Bubble is a better buy, but that game is the same as the old one on Wiiware.
