New Mass Effect Avatar items

 

A few new Mass Effect Avatar items have been posted. I’ve uploaded a couple of high res screens shots to give you a better idea of what a many of them look like.

    I’m sure there’s some more free stuff on the way sometime in the near future and some more coloring options. I would like to change the camo clothes to urban coloration. How’s that?

    What I want to know is; WHERE ARE THE AVATAR UNLOCKABLES?

    I agree, I want to see Avatar Unlockables for game accomplishments. I’m also a bit miffed that ever sense the Avatar Marketplace was released, the release of free clothing has pretty much come to a halt.

    Do you know if the ODST Avatar armor shown at E3 2009 will be an unlockable, or will it be sold in the Avatar Marketplace in the near future?

    If Microsoft can’t release free content (like the new Left 4 Dead DLC) then I really doubt they will ever release anymore free avatar clothing.

    The prices still need to be reduced by half. $4 for a Crappy Warthog and a lightsaber? I would buy these things, but they are too much!

    I demand Microsoft to raise the prices on these avatar items. I want the people who buy them to spend as much as possible.

    I, for one, am glad to see a second set of releases for ANY of the Avatar stuff…I was very disappointed that with the ODST release, there was nothing added, and I feel they missed a very big opportunity. As a M.E. fan, the new stuff is pretty cool, but having new content available when, say, 2.2 million people pick up a game, seems like a better model than randomly dropping stuff on the marketplace. Oh, and I am so glad I dodged Bubble Bobble…you “delay” the game for months, then a week after release, have TWO sets of DLC for 240pts each? No thanks. Those levels should have been included in the game at 800. 1280 to play a 20 year old game is ridiculous.

    Oh, and regarding “free” Avatar stuff…it looks like probably won’t be any more free stuff in the marketplace (like a free set), but they are doing “themed” stuff for free, so while some games/ events are getting clothes (PAX, Beatles), I fully expect there to be some free stuff for certain holidays and other notable dates (Bungie Day). I still want my Dallas Cowboys helmet!!

    I’d guess you won’t really see much in the way of Avatar Awards until early next year. You have to remember that the developers need to build this into their games & the update probably came too late in the year for most of the fall games to do so.

    After all the alleged hate towards avatars, they’ve become quite common as gamerpics. After all the alleged hate towards avatar accessories, they’ve become quite common as gamerpic accessories. Naysayers are free to pack their packs and call it quits but when it comes to customizing your virtual personality to your liking, micro-transactions is the answer. Lovely Mass Effect apparel, though.

    Still waiting on my avatar unlockable. I can’t believe this isn’t out yet. Wait its M$ of coarse i believe now. They milk the money out of us then give out the free stuff. Seriously Mass effect becore the unlockable? The person who’s doing that marketing needs to be fired.

    I don’t think it’s just the devs… look at your gamerpic. The ability to unlock has been in ‘Splosion Man all along, but they’re being delayed and not allowed to actually “flip the switch.”

    is MajorNelson.com the place to get avatar schedules? i can check the marketplace myself but id rather have an idea when new content was coming so i can be prepared. last night caught me off guard. i dropped 480 pts before i saw the asari commando outfit pop up.

    im a lil hesitant to spend more till i know whats coming soon..

    If only Microsoft did the same thing with Premium Themes. We can preview avatar clothing and items ourselves, but there is no way to see what the themes look like before purchase. Why is that?

    Microsoft do not care if you can’t preview a theme – they have not cared about it for 3.5years since the console launched.

    You kind of proved my point. There isn’t any reason that anyone should be going to youtube or a third party site to preview something that Microsoft sells on the 360. This is something that should have been addressed by the company eons ago.

    Now we just need MS to release a ‘premium theme’ preview and we’ll be set. A little off-topic, but how can you expect people to buy without seeing them. ;)

    {I didn’t even see the posts from other people about the theme previews til now. Must be quite a few ppl wanting it}

    with the exception of the remote mako, haven’t these items been available for a while now? when will the splosion man awards be available? whats the point of having unlockable stuff if your not going to allow them to be unlocked

    @lites…no matter where you obtained your points, you SPENT them on the things you are complaining about. I often stock up on points when retailers have “buy one get one free” and promotional deals, but still spend them like I paid full price.

    I echo the comments above, the crap in this Avatar Marketplace is way over priced, why is the generic ‘free’ clothing now no longer being made and where are the game based unlockable reward stuff? There’s only effort thus far in increasing the amount of paid content and i’m sorry, but when did micro-transactions increase to like $4?

    That being said, i did buy the Garrus eye-piece but only because it was a true micro-transaction of 80 points or about a buck.

    The prices on avatar clothing should be similar to the real world. Pair of Jeans $40-90. Jacket $40-90.

    MS should see if Valve wants to offer any free content for the avatar clothing… Valve offers something for free = MS demand a high price…. Everyone wins!!! :|
