    What an ugly cover D:
BTW I hope this game will be better than Bust-A-Move live / Bubble Boble NEO……..

  • Twilight Miasma

/sweatdrop, well THIS game was obviously made in the gay side of San Fransisco….

  • KEV2O9

Taito have completely ruined the bubble bobble and raingbow islands franchise! Why do they keep churning out this type of garbage?

The original Bub & Bob and rainbow islands were classics while this is just drivel. Seriously people stay away from this rubbish!

Please bring us the oringal arcade version to live rather than poor rehashes!

I have to say have been rather disappointed with these Taito “classics” releases. I so wanted to enjoy these. Only 1 is any fun and another is plain broken.
    1) First Arkanoid is no fun without a spinner. Only one I’ve found is on an cheapo MadKatz pad and it doesn’t work correctly.
    2) Next was Bubble Bobble, the best of the bunch, enjoyable despite no online multiplayer.
    3) Next Bust-A-Move – quite disgraceful, full of bugs and glitches, even the text descriptions of the achievements is wrong, not that they unlock properly anyway. On multiplayer it even places an avatar on top of the board, so you can’t see properly (?!). It’s a mockery of Major’s claims that these games are fully tested before release. I don’t consider this game is actually finished, it’s more like a beta.
    4) Now Rainbow Islands. Hmmm. I think that who was in charge of producing this evidently had very little understanding of what made the arcade original so entertaining. It’s dumbed down to the max and you can see that MS must be pushing developers to add “avatars” even though they add nothing to the game, quite the opposite.

I think that Major Nelson (or the one that validate the games for the marketplace) needs to be a LOT more selective with that they offer to they costumers, their not doing it right.

not very good. not worth $10

For me if I never played it it’s new to me. I actually enjoyed all 3 games despite lag in Puzzle Bubble aka Bust A Move, in which I bought; I even bought Bubble Bobble Neo. It’s games that my daughter wanted and plays with all the time (She’s 5). I am not defending Micro$oft(which I hate doing) but if you want original titles play them in the original console. You know they are going to make changes to these games, and we can or we can’t do anything about it except write feedback. I have seen videos on youtube, for Bobble and see no difference in gameplay, except the graphics. They do need to fix that lag in Bust a Move, did I win or not? Just my opinion. I know I will have something to complain about in the future. Ninja Turtels rehashed version, still love it even though I LOVED the SNES version.

So Australia screwed again, What arcade game do we get then? Just a reminder we pay for this service too. I will probably never go GOLD again, I will use my PS3 for multiplayer.

  • wiirule111

The new music in this game wasnt as good as it was originally, and why didnt they remake the original music?
If it was possible to swap A and B buttons in this game, i may have bought it. Yes, i can get used to the awkward button mapping, but its still annoying.
Like someone else says.. Taito keeps screwing up their releases. Great games, but weak in the stuff that counts most. Play the originals instead. :)

  • Exu

    Loooooool.

  • PriusGuy2004

Until I see a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow “in game” (whichever rainbow that may be), this won’t be a buy for me. Sorry…it’s not worth 800 MS points.

  • The Nude Wizard

    WTB Snow Bros.

  • ElektroDragon

Two terrible games. Where are all the PopCap games? I want Bookworm Aventures Volume 2!

  • N0RDS

not quiet good but to be honnest I have played for only 5 min but it didnt hook me at all.

  • Ganon255

Speaking of PopCap games, where is “Plants vs Zombies”? It should come with the game “Insaniquarium” as a free unlockable. I can dream.

  • jurrabi

I used to love this game!

After reading all that has been said here I wasn’t even going to download it. But I finally gave it a try… So frustrating!

How can anybody mess this up? I mean, even the movement that used to be so “manegable” now is hard and bumpy…

Has already said… Taito, stop F***ing things that where perfect!

Now I leave… I have to find some way to play the real thing…

Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Islands are on XBOX Live so maybe the next release will be Parasol Stars.
