Sweet. It says it’s free, but it’s not. I probably just get the disc, my woman has been bugging me for these, so I guess I’ll surprise her.

  • dedtime

Oh wow, it said free for a second there, got me all excited.. haha, Still gonna get it though :).

  • Xbox Sonic

Thank you Larry! Added it to the download queue.

  • Grind Axis

Awesome! Can’t wait to play this and TLaD!

  • CochransLac

Does anyone know when the disc is gonna be out with both episodes on it ? Today or nah ?

  • tokerTM

I got mine last night. It’s annoying that anyone who has bought the disk version cannot play online with anyone who bought the DLC versions … hoping they sort a patch out soon …

  • B0rn to Game

I think I’ll get the disc instead…Nice to get a hard copy

  • WinterSnowblind

I wasn’t planning on getting this right away, but when I saw it up I couldn’t resist. I wasn’t overly impressed with GTA IV, but TLAD totally redeemed it, in my opinion. 28%.

  • moocow21

I’ll probably get the disc version when it hits $20 or so. Simply don’t have the hard drive space for these episodes.

  • dzauk

Do you have to have the original Grand Theft Auto IV game disk to play. Or can you DL just ” The Ballad of Gay Tony” and play that?

  • StammyFi

“I got mine last night. It’s annoying that anyone who has bought the disk version cannot play online with anyone who bought the DLC versions … hoping they sort a patch out soon …”

Can anyone confirm this? Is this a bug or is it just made that way?

  • Joergen8

Sweet, finally I can get some players into TLAD multiplayer. It’s been dead for months. Lone Wolf bikers was hella fun for people who know the city and know how to ride.

The disc vs dlc mp bug must be down to them not releasing the patch for the DLC folks at that point, I’m sure its out now and theyre compatible.

  • MeS FEAR

awesome…on the way to buy it…cant wait to play it

  • GS HaXoR

    Getting this disc.

    @ dzauk

You do NOT need GTA IV to play the DLC :)

  • My Big Boss

    Samm used money on Oblivion..

    @dzauk

If you buy the disk version of the DLC you dont need to have the GTA4 disk, but if you just buy the DLC from the marketplace then you will need the GTA4 disk.

  • DUSTxDEVIL

Sweet, thanks for the update Major ;)

  • AngelAzrael1977

I’m glad is out! I’ve been waiting for this everyday!… now start the waiting for the retail disk to hit my country… just a couple of days more :P

  • CochransLac

Cool its in stock at my local Gamestop.I’d rather get the disc version although I HATE Gamestop. :(

  • ElektroDragon

Ultra expensive, just like the last GTA DLC. Uninteresting story premise, just like the last GTA DLC. I think I’ll stick with the main game.

  • wolfzero01

I was going to get this, but I’d rather get the disc version so as not to deal with the DRM policy & so I don’t have to put my GTA IV disc in to play it

  • DHartmann

The Ballad of Gay Tony is Awesome~
GTA fans must play it !!!!

  • JUNG GUNS

would you PLEASE hurry up and fix my console so I can give you more of my money!!

My console stopped reading games on October 12th, the day before Brutal Legend. IT BETTER BE ON MY DOORSTEP BY NOVEMBER 10th OR ELSE!!!

  • DNAgent

Meh. I sold the game a long time ago it was just too boring compared to the other GTAs. I’d rather have a remastered version of Vice City or GTA3 (not remade with GTA4’s crappy engine though as I don’t want stuff to be pulled OUT from the game like this mediocre title). The DLC is a ripoff and I won’t support the game at all.

  • Ziesel86

These prices make baby Jesus cry. Might buy it when it hits $20, but $50 in Canada for the disc = rape w/o lube. Plus M$’s DRM is atrocious, anything on a disc > Dig. Distribution. GTA4 was a huge let down for everyone I know, much like another hugely over hyped and under delivering game called Fable 2. Both games main story/gameplay were far from amazing, I see no reason why any DLC for either would be any better.

  • WinterSnowblind

@ElektroDragon: I don’t know how you can call these over priced, they aren’t just little DLC add ons, they’re full on expansion packs that add in a lot of new content. And if you’re a fan of GTA IV, I’d HIGHLY recommend you give them a try, they easily have better stories than the main game did.

  • MeS FEAR

anyone who thinks that this dlc is not worth the money, does not know what he is missing. The Club is just amazing and its so much fun to stand just there and to look at the people…i am impressed…this dlcs are so nice and really have the best storys… the sky diving iis amazing too. Guys this is a Bockbuster!

  • Mr FuZzYbOtToMz

WOW THIS IS A GREAT DLC,PLAYED THE FIRST 3 MISSIONS AND PLAYED FREE MODE FOR A WHILE AND HAD A BLAST,IM GONNA BE ENJOYING THIS FOR MONTHS

  • yolarrydabomb

    Gay Tony?

    WTF

  • SumHydroponic

Anyone that DL’d this today, have you watched the Japanese Anime that they have on the T.V.’s. Wow, I couldn’t stop laughing, freaking great stuff.

  • Garratose

    Picking this up tomorrow

  • Garratose

@Ziesel86:”The Lost And Damned” and “The Ballad of Gay Tony” both pass as full retail games

  • Choxieota Tsioc

Uh-oh. I want this, but I need 1350 more points. Unfortunately I can’t find the option to buy that many MS points. Can I buy 1350 points? Or do I have to Gamefly this?

  • Atheist Primate

This looks like a fun add on. At least it looks fun from all the trailers I’ve seen, and I’ve seen quite a few. But I think I’ll wait to this to be “Deal of the Week”, just like The Lost and Damned was. I kind of regret that I didn’t download TLAD when it was The Deal. I feel pretty confident that Gay Tony also will be The Deal.
    Just wait and see.

  • Exu

Awesome DLC right here. But onto more pressing matters: No post on the Avatar clothing this week, Major? I’m not surprised.

  • Blue Thunder28

I was going to get this today ’till I saw the disk version was $50 so I’ll wait a while.

  • GS HaXoR

    @ Choxieota Tsioc

You can buy 1000 & then buy another 500 to make 1500MSP.
Or you can buy 2100 Microsoft Points at retail.

    Your choice.

  • Ganon255

@ Choxieota Tsioc: You can also buy points from Zune.net in 400 & 1200 point increments. So buy 1000 points from Xbox.com and 400 points from Zune.net.

  • Chitwood7412

I will get it later. I loved TLAD but don’t have the time or money for this right now.

  • metallicorphan

bit pissed off that the retail version has Vice City Radio, while the DLC doesn’t get it…right kick in the balls for those who bought the first DLC and then find out there is extra stuff on the disc version

  • GoobTuff

Could you do a blog post about the Splosion Man Avatar Awards being available now? Just to let everyone know?

  • HUM CHEE

It’s pretty awesome so far, how long do I have to play until I can start base jumping?

  • Tyrant Dunn

might just buy the disc. I sold gta 4 a long time ago.

  • mchiefvs360

Great, more excellant GTA content. Good job Rockstar.

  • cliftonJONES

    hope this is good…

  • Joergen8

Errr.. so the DISC versions dont have GTAIV main game music tracks, but get Vice City FM which the DLC versions dont get? I’ll take the original music over sexy voice fernando thank you. Though the 80’s songs are hot, and would suit Gay Tony’s atmosphere.

  • metallicorphan

those who saying that these DLC packs are not worth the price, for Lost and Damned the main story took about 10-12 hrs,and then doing all the odd phone jobs for Stubbs, the gangwars, the races etc..it took it past the 20hr mark

then you have all the extra multiplayer modes online if you are interested in that(i wasn’t)

and riding around on your bike with your gang, while listening to Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead or Alive..is worth the asking price straight away :p

@Joergen8 i haven’t heard about all the music tracks not being on the disc versions, but yeah Vice City radio is only on the disc version
