    Wow 1200?

  • Anonymous

Damn, 1200 points!? It didnt look that cool. I guess I’ll check the demo out and see if its even worth it.

  • Chitwood7412

1200? doesn’t look worth it, but I will always try games before I judge it. Also were is Call of Duty: Classic, and Perfect Dark?

    1200 is dumb, frankly

  • Chitwood7412

@o0 Daz 0o Thanks for the info, I feel stupied for not looking there in the first place.

  • xZepher

    price fail

  • Abe

Looking forward to giving it a try.

I am 99% Hockey and 1% Football, so a $50-$60 sim is not my thing. $15 sounds right as I do like a quick game now and again. I would certainly play it as much as older football games I had bought at full price, so my verdict will be after a run through the demo.

It cannot be worse than that NBA Arcade game, Im terrified that someone will d/l that on my system when I am not looking. Not a basketball fan at all, but I cannot see how the NBA authorized the use of their liscense on that thing.

  • Exu

Okay, so you’re releasing this overpriced crap, and…?

1200 points for an arcade stylized version of Madden?

Wow, EA sure knows how to milk a franchise, don’t they?

  • TooLegitVolz

You’ve yet to play the game. Your opinion is invalid.

  • Exu

    @TooLegitVolz – It’s 1200 and it’s American football, the game is invalid.

  • KP ScuzzyBunny

I think the yearly $60 fee to update rosters and throw in a few minor “improvements” shows EA knows how to milk a franchise…not to mention the addition of DLC this year. Then there is “Live Draft Tracker” and things like this…if you are a fan, give it a look, but I actually had more fun playing Backyard Football 2010 than some of the other “colorful” football games that came out this year. I’ll try the demo, then probably wait till it’s the deal of the week in a few months (when football season is over).

  • ColdMolasses

I’ve seen videos of the game play on youtube. Of course it is no “retail” madden but it looks fun. I’ll probably end up buying this. Also what sorts of “power-ups” can you get? I’ve seen a few with slow motion or faster speed. I love the arcade style sports games.

  • Snakesterr

Pah, as i’m sure this would be a good game to the right person…isn’t 1200 a bit steep for a Madden game?
    I won’t be buying it..

  • MAS 86

Wish it were 800 MS Points, but I’ve come to realize that 1200 is the new 800 and 800 is the new 400MS Points. Still might pick it up as I could use some more sports games in my library of installed games on my Hdd. My so , and my nephews love playing on my 360 and having all these different games on the hdd spares my $60+ retail disc. Any who! I’ll def give the demo a try, see if my son and nephews like it too, b4 I can warrant a purchase…

  • Shonk

    U doubt i would go at 400 nevermind 1200

  • yolarrydabomb

1200 hmmm sounds like Microsoft is getting more greed

  • ibelievein93x

I want Plants Vs Zombies and Perfect Dark!

  • Sneeches

I’ll probably pass on this one, not a huge football fan and the price is steep.. I’ll try the demo though.

  • Shamrock

Isn’t regular Madden Arcadey enough? Do we really need two unsim football games?

  • Surly x Duff

This makes me think of old-school NFL Blitz. Not the new “edgier” ones, the original arcade football games. I’d pay $15 for a port of those. I’ll have to give this a try first.

  • stststststq

It amazes me how much whining and moaning there is on here compared to the Playstation blog where you’ll have to search hard to find any post that’s rated less than 4/5. 360 owners are the worst whiners I’ve ever seen. “Microsoft are greedy” because this game is 1200 MS Points, when it’s going to be exactly the same price on PSN, only as always, PSN will get the game later. If I was Major Nelson I’d just the name of this site to “Whiner’s Paradise” cos no matter what games or features come out, they’re never good enough for the people on here. LOL.

  • Lynch182

@EXU nice come back haha, nice to see some comedy on here every now and then.

  • TBizzle4Shizzle

I’ll try the demo tomorrow, and if it’s pretty fun (even half as fun as Blitz 2000 or Street), I’d more than likely grab this for $15. What is everyone complaining about? Do you all want NFL Tour 2 retailing at $60 or what?

  • RidinSlow

Man. I was really looking forward to this until now. 1200 MSP is too deep for my pockets for this product. I’m going to try the demo to see if the price is justified, but based on the interviews and previews this is not worth 1200MSP.

  • NumberedJester

Ill give the demo a go first, Im not a big NFL fan really, but it might be a laugh online.

Now if they would do a Arcade version of FIFA, that would be different. Indoor footy would be a right laugh online.

  • Atheist Primate

@Daz, thanks for the COD Classic link =)

I’m not an american football fan, so I’m not spending 1200 points on that arcade game. The 3 on 3 NHL Arcade was 800 points, why is NFL 1200? Maybe because NFL is bigger in the states.

I’m saving my points for next week when Call of Duty hits XBLA. Anybody knows the price? I guess it’ll be 1200. Crossing my fingers that it won’t be 1600 and hoping that it will be 800 =P
