Sweet. Will download this soon as I get home from work

  • Neo003

So it’s not a single player only online or co-op. That’s a bummer, why only release these kind of demos.

  • PAT2K9

Very cool. I’ll try it out when I get back home from work.

  • theuglyteradon

    It’s time for some bro-op.

  • DarkTear81

Woohoo, downloading it from the US-PSN right now (cause of the stupid not available in germany… meh)

  • AirborneDav1d

    Yeah! I’m downloading now.

  • NvaderJim

    Thanks

  • Ollyh

The demo itself seems to have problems, games seem to close down and the demo’s froze itself twice. Still haven’t managed to complete it but from what I’ve played I could pick this up :)

Where in the world is Joy Ride?

  • Joergen8

Things like this really dilute the whole concept of “building from the ground up” and “all new” etc. Though we’re used to marketing spin, adding new content onto the same game used to be called a data disk, a mod or a map-pack. Nowadays it’s a whole new game, and you still dont even get the whole add-on, but must buy most of it later as DLC!

Though I wish we had a good alternative to Gears, as Epic have completely lost my trust and respect.

I just finished the demo on PS3 and it ran without hangs etc.. BUT.. the game felt slow and some sound lagged. I bet this is a shitty port from 360 to PS3, and i will buy this game on 360. Gonna get the 360 demo now to compare.

  • EveofLight

Played with my sis and we had some laughs, there are a few things they added now that differs from part 1, now I can crawl off to safety so I don’t have to keep getting shot at. I also like the way the enemies do the same exact same thing as you to try to escape or have a better vantage point to kill you. Hostage situations are tricky..first playthrough we totally messed up and didn’t know what we were doing and we saved them, second playhtrough we knew what to do but the hostages died LOL.

Most definetely will pick this one up when it is released, I enjoyed part 1 and I know I will enjoy this one as well.

  • Xlrking

Question is, if i hated the first Army of Two, would i enjoy this one?
    Probably a no.

Major, i am one of those unfortunate people who bought the Holiday Present Prop for their Avatar for 240 microsoft points which is now FREE. Any news on how this will be resolved? is there going to be a token for us to be able to get a different Avatar item of the same value? I have already pestered customer support on the matter, but at this stage they are’nt in the know? and can only tell me i will not be refunded. I havnt got a problem with not having a refund, as i can see how inconvenient that would be but it would be good customer service to email a code, which can be redeemed on the Xbox Marketplace for an Equivalent Priced Avatar Item, to those who bought the Now Free Avater Holiday Present Prop.

  • KP ScuzzyBunny

So the present is now free? I thought I had seen that it was supposed to be free, then saw the price and passed. If you like the demo, definitely look into pre-ordering, as it’s one of the games retailers are reducing if you reserve (I know I got a $10 off coupon for reserving mine at Gamestop)…why pay full price if you don’t have to!

    “Built from the ground up”

How many times have we all heard that before, eh? :)

  • AKU

    Looking forward to try this!

  • trickybuz93

Downloading it right now but not sure about the game.
But more importantly, when is joy ride coming out!?!?!?!?

  • Freaky Priest

Not in Germany again. Everytime I read this, I think about switching to the dark side, the Playstation as soon as they get their age verifying system up and running. And they WILL!

  • Blue Thunder28

I loved this. It was a good demo to play with a friend though the guns didn’t feel good while shooting them.. I love all the improvements though. Great game I’ll be picking it up.

  • UMMAGUMMA

this game does not play as well as the first one and it just felt boring. i loved the first game and was super excited for this one, but after playing the demo i just took it off my gamefly top spot. what a disappointment, typical ea “built from the ground up” why i ask when the first was just fine. they ruined this game for me and the friend i played with, he felt the same sadness. btw, why are the voices so low, you can barely hear them in the crappy jagged cutscenes. i can go on and on about what i didnt like, the only thing i liked is it’s co-op.

  • wiirule111

@UMMAGUMMA: The PS3 demo was even worse, and lagged, had sound glitches, aiming lag etc.

If you didnt like 360 version, you should never ever try it on PS3. I have both consoles, but i will buy AO2 on 360 for sure.

  • mccalejk

So Solid Jedi, it’s $3. Not worth complaining about.

  • So Solid Jedi

I know it’s only $3 (probably equates to a bit more for us brits) 240 microsoft points is quite a substantial amount for most people who play Xbox, unless your money really burns a hole in your pocket and your one of those people who have to have everything (i, im glad to say, am not one of those people and try to be careful with what i spend my points on. Anyways, its the principle of it.
At the end of the day, this sort of thing has been happening too often to quite a lot of people. It’s not right that something that was intended to be free was put up at 240 microsoft points before being altered later on. Well ive said probably enough on the matter, just hope that something can be done for the guys that bought it early and for anyone else that has had it happen to them before, i personally dont see a problem with gifting a code for another avatar item.

    H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E

  • Tino008

I enjoyed the demo, especially in local coop. The controls feel a bit odd, but I guess it’s because I’ve become so used to the cover in Gears…

    Waiting for the download

It was okay. Not the best demo…I actually expected more from a 2GB download.
