  • twisted poke

Raiden iv might have been one I would have actually purchased. Shame it’s Japan only. As for the others, as usual they are overpriced.

  • foxhunt99

So GRAW1 is $30 and GRAW2 is $20. Fix your old pricing please.

Why wouldn’t Kane and Lynch be avaliable in US?

  • Macdory

What’s the point of going to the time and effort to put these games up for download, then putting a dumb price on them? They can be bought from retail at <25% of this price.

  • broxy bear

both of these games can be bought new in retail for about £10, why would anyone pay double that price?

  • SalarymanDaishi

Just received Gears of War 2 for €12 and Ninja Blade for €9 (both new and physical) so apologies for not purchasing a digital copy of either of these for €30 each ^^; /end pointless and needlessly malicious bitching about Games on Demand and as the program obviously works well enough to keep it going then by all means, keep ‘em coming!

  • darkdeath174

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men isn’t in Canada might want to added that.
@foxhunt99 ya thats right doesnt make sense but your lucky graw 1 is 39.99 here. you think the first one would be like $9-15 if the second one is 19.99

  • yolarrydabomb

HA and I can pickup GRAW for 5 dollars in good condition

  • Exu

Kane and Lynch, £20? Most shops sold it around that area at launch, and STILL nobody bought it!

  • PzR Tak

I don’t know why Major Nelson bothers having comments on here. All you get is whine, whine, whine.
The games on demand are at the recommended retail price here in the UK. Note that I said RECOMMENDED. Shops can sell for less if they wish to. However, Games On Demand cannot drop below that price for one simple reason… MS still sells games in the shops.

The last thing Microsoft wants to do is offend, and therefore lose sales in, its biggest source of income from the 360. You will probably slate me, but MS HAS to charge this much.

  • SalarymanDaishi

@PzR Tak: You’re spot on with your assessment but you also have to give Major Nelson credit where its due – the whining gets just as much airtime as the praise does, and they both have their equal time in the sun. When MS does things right, there’s plenty of praise and when they don’t, there’s the usual bitching and moaning. If anything, this blog takes both positive and negative feedback without any prejudice whatsoever, and that’s certainly something to appreciate! Games on Demand is what Games on Demand does and as long as it brings in enough revenue, it more or less warrants itself.

  • Velete

lolol , Kane&Lynch for £20 ? its a terrible game and it pretty much cost that at launch years ago.

I picked this up last week for £2.50 at work – i work as a supervisor in a small supermarket and i can tell you that the RRP on the item is only £5 , but we would never be able to sell it at that – and we exist more for milk and bread instead of games, GoD is a total ripoff compared to our prices , but dedicated retail/online gamings shops are MUCH cheaper still.

  • Carg0

    Kane and Lynch??

how the hell did *that* get added to ‘games on demand’? i can think of at least 20 other titles off the top of my head that are far more worthy (probably a hundred, if given 5min). ridiculous.

here’s a question: what are the considerations for putting a title ‘On Demand’?

  • Vasilii Zaytsev

I know it’s not your fault, Major… but Microsoft needs to drop the f*cking prices…

  • Interceptor Lee

For those in the UK :

Instead of paying £20 on GOD –

GRAW 2 can be bought new for £9.99 at CoolshopUK’s website – or just £4.99 used at Gamestation’s website. Both include free delivery.

Kane & Lynch can be bought new for just £4.95 NEW at thegamecollection.net. Again, with free delivery. Gamestaion has used copies on their site for £4.98 delivered.

  • BMW530XD

Hey, is this a scam. I cant take a digital copy with me to my friends xbox and play it there! And in my country it costs $52.
I can get a new copy for $20 here.
    Is this fair??

  • doyouheuyahoo

30€ for a 2007 game which is dematerialized it’s kind of expensive. Well 30€, it’s just 43$ (or 52$ for Norway)… not so much …

What a rip off pricing structure this service on demand will never take off unless the prices

are more competative and stop charging a premium microsoft were not stupid

go screw yourselves with these rip off games on demand robbery especially in this recesion

That little light that comes on in the xbox is very green thats all microsoft cares about is

overcharging consumers for everything screw you.

Last year i pay for xbox live for sure the value is not there for me anymore

  • RyuZX101

Hm, good to know Eidos (er… Squenidos now that’s merged with Square-Enix?) is putting their games on GoD, even if it isn’t available for us in the US. Hopefully this means Hitman Blood Money will makes its way to the US GoD.

  • DavidGX

Sorry but digital content is supposed to be CHEAPER than retail. Not higher, not the same. Cheaper. You guys fail again.

  • C0IN

what a great deal…. and by great i mean awful.
