I have no idea why I’m actually somewhat interested in this. Maybe it’s Ryo. But it’s not like I’m going to get past the demo with so many 2’s left to tackle (AC2, ME2, BFBC2, Bioshock 2)…

    I’m curious, on download

  • Wiizpig

  • GigerPunk

I’d be interested in downloading it too, but you’ve seen fit to make it for gold members only.
Honestly, who decided on this policy? Forcing people to pay for Live when they don’t necessarily want it just so they can see if a game they might like is worth buying?
[Insert insulting and derogatory comment of your choice here]

  • WinterSnowblind

A lot of people have been pretty sketpical of this, but it is being made by Sumo Digital and it’s running on the Outrun 2006 engine and plays almost identical to that, which is definitely not a bad thing. It’s a lot of fun to play, absolutely a Mario Kart clone, but it’s great to have something like this on the 360. I love that they included Banjo here too, makes the decision of which version to get very easy :)

  • yolarrydabomb

We should have own 360 racing game with mass effect, Gears of war, call of duty, halo and many more.

  • yolarrydabomb

ah man I’m the same boat as GigerPunk. I was wanted to download this but I guess i gotta wait week.

    that is bull!

  • wiirule111

I will get this demo.. and of course it will be compared to Mario Kart. ;)

  • Xlrking

Looks very much like Mario Kart so i cant blame people for saying that.
But to be honest, it made more sense when sonic was racing on foot in Sonic R, while other characters would use vehicles that were just as fast as sonic to make it fair.

  • Ai Kago

Looks good visually, but it slows down. Why release a demo that does the game no justice at all. I think it must be dipping below 30fps most of the time, especially when cornering.

  • A Place for Us

Don’t get many kart racers nowadays. So, I’ll check it out.

  • Exu

It’s okay. That’s it, okay. Nothing special.
A 1.05GB download for two characters, one track, and 1P/2P split screen only is taking the piss.

  • BlazeHedgehog

I got a Microsoft email with a 48 hour code that said it enables “All Gold Features”. I figured I could use that to download this demo. Except it was just a regular old 48 hour trial code.

    Thanks for the false advertising…

  • SumHydroponic

My daughter loves this demo, she was trying to con the full game out of me all day yesterday. Too bad I just bought her a DSi and 5 games for her birthday or I might actually consider it.

  • Blue Thunder28

This game is awesome! I’ll be renting it for sure.

  • wiirule111

I’m surprised that the game only runs at 30 fps, while Forza 3, Wipeout HD etc.. runs at 60 fps. ;)
Its good, but would be even better at full racing framerate.

  • Xbudz LIVE

    30fps? bummer

  • stststststq

This could have been a good Mario Kart alternative for 360 owners, but the low framerate really lets it down. What a shame.

  • Twilight Miasma

I have to admit the game is actually quite fun! It’s shame there’s no online multiplayer in the demo though.

  • InsaneNutterUK

The frame rate is not great at all in places, it must go below 30fps at times quite easily.

If you have a PC capable of playing this I would get it for the PC, it will be cheaper and you should get much better fps.
