Not to nitpick, but Winter lasts until March 20th. It’s kind of defeating the purpose for anyone to date something Winter 20–, the season only has a few weeks in the prior year. By this ruling Perfect Dark hits it’s mark…however BARELY.

As far as Joyride goes…I wouldn’t be surpried if they went back to the drawing board on that after Sony’s Mod Nation Racers. Add some customization and a little less pay to play.

Crap exclusive DLC for FFXIII with purchase of the system. I hope it is something stupid. Might try to talk my friend into getting one and telling him I’ll pay him 110 towards it if he gives me a controller the game and the DLC for it.

Sadly, I am beginning to believe that Joyride has been scrapped. There hasn’t been any mention of the game in a LONG time.

The only arcade game I’m looking forward to is Perfect Dark. Nothing else interests me.

I’m looking to hear about the nerdy tech stuff, like what changes are being made to XBL now that original Xbox support is dropped. Will we finally get to put our friends in groups, with different notification options for each group? Of the 40-odd friends on my list, I really only want to get online notifications for about a dozen.

@rastanaga. Seriously dude, a beta isn’t working for free. I’ve worked in QA and a Beta is just a marketing tool. All it really provides for the devs is a chance to refine their netcode because by the time a beta comes out they’ve everything is set in stone.

@rastansaga – Beta come to the public for reasons it has nothing to do with “working for free” some things like game breaking bugs are often not picked up on internal betas which is why they do large scale public betas because then they can get so much more date from that than a internal beta

@Lanmanna – i promise I don’t care about Halo beta. it’s just that i read a tweet that there was to be a ‘mind-blowing’ announcement 2night – I didn’t see it, so assumed it must have been Major’s beta comment – everything else was regarding sequels.
@DarkGin87 – trust me, game devs are laughing at you for helping to beta test their games for free. even more so when you have to purchase a separate title to ‘participate’. if you’re happy to do that, then good for you – go do it and enjoy it. personally, I’m LMAO

@Dark Knight 2K – Joy Ride is supposedly free to download if/when it comes out. You only pay to buy extra content for the game. It doesn’t compare to Mod Nation Racers at all, because that’s a full priced disc-based game (and the beta was utter crap too – lowest framerate I’ve ever seen in a racing game).

By the way, note that the bundle comes with the standard edition of FF13. As in, there’s another.

Perfect Dark March 17th I guess.

Looks like you’re going to stick to your point about the devs being lazy, but you could look at it more like people who bought odst happen to get into the beta rather than you need to buy this game to access the beta. I know it’s just two different ways to say the same thing, but i was buying odst anyway as I’m sure many others were.
The crackdown/halo3 beta is more what you’re talking about (even then i wanted that game regardless), as at least this is the same game series.

It means sometime between early November and Christmas.

DR1 was delayed for, I think, 4 months so I’m not expecting DR2 on time… it makes the disappointment much easier to take.

I’m sure the game room will not be available in Mexico like almost everything and as usual they are not telling until it comes out

I don’t mean to excite everyone too much but ign have posted a preview of Perfect Dark and in it they claim the game is going to be only 800 microsoft points!!!!

Am I the only one blown away by the Toy Soldiers videos on Xbox.com? THAT is a game I am excited about. (And Crackdown 2)…(And Dead Rising 2)

But really, that Toy Soldiers stuff is the best thing I’ve seen for a while. Hopefully the gameplay delivers the goods.

Game Room games will be arcade perfect, but again, if you don’t want to buy the same game again then just don’t. great news but game room is a no-go to me. I never will buy any of these overpriced crap games. It was a bad idea to create something like game room. I would rather to create something like PS3 Home. I would like to do much more with my avatar. Dont need a rip-off application like game room. But thats only my opinion.We will see if game room will be successful or not.

Pricing for Perfect Dark is sound (800), you can shove everything else. XBLA Block party seems a bit of a duff idea, to be honest.

all great annoucements…have tons of games still to play through from back end of last year so not bothered about when the big games come

While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, your own comments make it sound more like sour grapes than actual experience or knowledge.

You claim you have no interest at all in Halo so how do you know ODST is a crapfest?? Why then would you even care that you need ODST to participate in the beta?

I’m not sure I agree with your assessment of participating in beta’s either. I consider it something fun. You get to play a game for free before it is released. So what if you are helping to test and by doing so you are making a better game in the end when you actually do purchase it (if you’ve enjoyed the beta).

Personally I thought ODST was a great game. I had a lot of fun with it. I had not purchased any of the Halo 3 maps so this was a great way for me to get them as well. My son has only stopped playing ODST to play the Halo 3 maps, and vice-versa. So to me, the ODST package was an extremely gratifying purchase. To get to be in the Reach beta is just an added perk.

Sorry if you are having a bad day but man your attitude toward these things that you yourself claim you care nothing about is just a downer.

I sure don’t look at being in a beta on a console as work. A game put out as beta on a home console is in pretty good shape. I look at it as getting to play a game before its release. I remember playing the CoD4 beta for like 30 hours. Never felt like I was working for a second.

It’s okay but, I havent played the MP portion because nobody has it. Trying to play the three part story in order has me jumping from alien to marine to predator. It’s nothing new that we haven’t already in a FPS.

Just pre-ordered the FF XIII Super Elite just because 1) It’s a white Elite, 2) Exclusive Faceplate + Avatar items.

Also looking forward to Perfect Dark after watching the X10 video – reminds me so much of Goldeneye – I guess it’s the closest thing we’re ever gonna get to it.

Perfect Dark looks really ugly and Allen Wake looks like Alone in the Dark. No Buy for me! But i cant wait for Fable and Dead Rising 2

I was asking that because Square has yet to announce a special edition for us US gamers, so I was led to believe that that’s actually happened.

Star Ocean is another favorite series of mine, and we didn’t get a limited edition like EU did…..

I thought Perfect Dark for the 64 was awesome. Had so many options/features over Golden Eye. Bots being one. Cloaking, firing remote controlled missles then stalking your victive. Also tagging someone with remote mines and then detonating at your leisure. Fun Fun

The Final Fantasy Console excited me the most to be honest not sure why though because its has a cool LE box and is in White which is about time for Elite. Would probably bought this if I had no console instead got the MW2 LE console. I recommend them the Jaspers are great plus there a good deal 250GB, game, two controllers just no darn HDMI cable.

As far as I’m concerned the only thing you need to know is that there is a Transformers War for Cybertron video @ marketplace. You’ve to be living under a rock to ignore all those stuff about dead rising 2 and FFwhatever games. Loved the past-gen cartoon based transformers game.

It looks like Battlefield 1942 meets Counter-Strike with toy soldiers. The graphics are sweet. I just don’t know how many people will buy another version of BF1942 for 1200 MSP. The gameplay better be innovative with great word of mouth or this could die quickly.
