Borderlands: Game Add On – Secret Armory

Content: Secret Armory
Price: 800 Microsoft Points
Availability: Not available in Germany and Japan
Dash Text: Description: Borderlands goes to ELEVEN! You may have seen some games raise their level cap by 5, or maybe even 10, but with The Crimson Lance Assassination Squads wreaking havoc and Crawmerax the Invincible being all invulnerable and stuff we knew you’d need more than just 10. And that’s why Borderlands goes to ELEVEN! The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is an addon pack for Borderlands that adds new guns, new Class Mods, new vehicles, new missions, new enemy types, and increases the level cap to 61. In other words…best addon ever. Of all time. Forever. The End. ELEVEN! There are no refunds for this item. For more information, see www.xbox.com/live/accounts.

  • Xlrking

Downloaded this right away just because the last DLC didnt seem as good, but this one looks fantastic.

  • Nightwing12

just keeps asking me for a prepaid code, wont let me use my MS points.

  • Ganon255

Cannot wait, looks much better than Underdome. I loved the Zombie DLC, this may even trump that.

  • jonnyb0b

I keep getting the prepaid code request too. I have emptied my cache and tried different browsers, same deal.

  • Da PlumR

This is great news! The zombies were fun, but new Crimson Lance DLC should be even better.

  • Sole Epiphany

I also only see prepaid, or telling me i have no cc on file, when my points are displayed in the corner, and I can’t find it through nxe :-(

  • Major Nelson

If it’s asking for a code…or won’t let you purchase it, check back later…it should be working then.

  • roadrnr

    Excellent! Working now. Thanks Major!

  • Exu

And now the DLC is officially more expensive than the game.
For me, that’s offputting. I don’t care how good it is, 800 each is too much to ask for. 560 would have been a far easier price to swallow.

Maybe Borderlands DLC will be on a DotW one day, or come on a GotY disc. Until then, I have to pass. Enjoy your DLC, guys.

  • DiatomicMaster

How is it more than the game? New games are $70 here, 800 points = less than $12.

  • Tirkon

Quote from Exu, “I don’t care how good it is, 800 each is too much to ask for.” I tire of these kinds of statements. The value has to figure in somewhere. I mean, man, that new car is $10 bucks? Well, I’ve only got 7$, so $10 is too much.

  • Xper Vadam

@Tirkon – You hit the nail right on the head. It is al about value and not price.

  • BROKENRADIO541

No complaints here, I gladly paid my 800 points and I cannot effing wait to play this when I get off work tonight. The Mad Moxxi DLC was a bit underwhelming but this is still one of the best games of last year hands down. And now you’ll have to excuse me, my Bloodwing needs feeding.

  • Anonymous

hell yeah! Can’t wait to play this, Mad Moxxi sucked ass

  • MACPH1ST0

I was surprised that this was only 800 points – I thought for sure it’d be 1200 considering how much bigger it is than the other two DLC packs. So yeah this one is definitely a steal at only 800 points and you’d be a fool not to jump on it ASAP if you love Borderlands!

  • Arsenic13

The download stopped and I can’t continue. Also says I can’t retrieve info from Xbox Live. Whats the problem?

  • Exu

@DiatomicMaster – For months now, Borderlands has been £17.95 at Zavvi.com and floating around £20 everywhere else. I had a £1 voucher at the time too, bonus. 2400 MSP is £20.40. Hence my earlier statement.

    @Tirkon I only have 600 points, so 800 is too much. :p

Maybe my opinion of this particular DLC will change once I get back my 360′s power supply and can play Borderlands properly and reach level fifty. Regardless, what makes this one so much more then? Because after Mad Moxxi’s reception, I’m a little bit skeptical.

  • wolfzero01

just got it, I’m amazed that this was only 800 pts, this should much better that the Mad Moxi one

  • theuglyteradon

I’m going to be picking up the DLC disc that comes out next week and eventually downloading this.

  • DiatomicMaster

Oh who cares what the price of the game is on some European thrift store website. The way Gearbox has been hyping up this DLC, should it deliver it’ll be a damn fine bargain at 800 points.

  • Twilight Miasma

Good gawd these guys are a murder in Playthrough 2. I especially hate these freaking Crimson Drones!

  • xXNapsterManXx

Cant WAit for this im downloading it right now NICE Gearbox and woot only 800MS points

  • Ai Kago

    Finally something I will buy.

  • Sausage Villan

Kinda makes me wish i hadn’t traded in my copy to get dragon age

  • Velete

    Best DLC description ever!

  • darkjester74

I found out that this DLC basically requires you to have a level 50 character. The starting quests are hard coded to level 51, they do NOT scale. Which is odd considering you are supposed to play this DLC after finishing the main campaign, and it is almost impossible to get to level 50 on a single playthrough.

Personally I found this annoying as my guy is level 45 and I am unable to play it right now, even when paired with other level 50 players. Bit of a bummer. :(

  • evilhomer12345

downloaded and started playing. so awesome. best parts: level 61, and mad moxxi returns!

  • Nitramuse

Wow, I would buy the add-on only because of the disciption! Gotta love it!
