Deal, Marketplace By Larry Hryb, Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson

  • radink360

Might have to get the San Andreas.

  • Kyaizen

Ooh awesome. I already have GTA and Fable on disc still, but lost my Max Payne copy long ago. May have to pick it up.

  • Blue Thunder28

Oh wow San Andreas is pretty tempting but after I get Perfect Dark I’ve have exactly enough left over to get Fable which I would gladly pay since my disk copy broke.. and the Lost Chapters disk version is like 18 bucks. :)

  • nmg82

    Hey…good deals!! Thanks major!

  • happysnowman163

Good deals. Just have too many games to play at the moment…. Looking forward to perfect dark

  • Thomas Egebaek

Why is San Andreas STIL not available in Denmark? we had it in stores? we have all other Games on demand

  • Golani 360

Very tempted to go for GTA San Andreas, that is an awesome deal. This may some dumb but I have yet to play either Indie or On Demand games. So do games such as San Andreas being a Xbox Original come with XBL Achievements?

  • Scowen85

Wow, very tempted by San Andreas, remains to be the only GTA I haven’t finished, can’t remember why I stopped playing it, dodgy disk or something.

    Great Deals

  • The Bill Payer

Hey Major, have they completely stopped releasing original Xbox games for download? I believe the last to be released way Max Payne 2 back in the summer, there’s alot of games I really wanted to buy and have on my hardrive as I don’t buy physical media anymore.

I’d really like to see Halo 2 for download even though they’re axeing online for original Xbox games.

  • MeS FEAR

Finaly a great Deal…will have to get GTA San Andreas!

  • xXNapsterManXx

i wont be getting this becuase my HDD is full i only hae the 20gb one from when i first got the console, and for some reason when i look in stores to get a 120g HDD theres none and when i look to buy from microsoft at the United States site has them listed under accessores but when i got to the Australian there isnt and HDD WTF. I want M$ to send me a HDD free for being a long time customer or somthing.

  • metallicorphan

i bought this Fable 1 download when it first came out for Games On Demand

it was very buggy, weird loud hisses and graphic freakouts and lock ups,i had no problems with the retail version when i played that though

  • MathGuy42

Not personally interested, but looks like good deals. Also a nice surprise that 3 games are on sale, since only Fable I was mentioned in the schedule. If anyone’s interested, the regular prices are 1200 MSP each.

Still hoping for Halo Wars DLC on sale or permanently reduced. I’ve heard rumors of the Platinum Hits Edition being on sale for $20 in some places, the cost of just the DLC online. If I find such a copy, I’ll buy that instead of the DLC online, then sell my regular copy. It seems like MS would make more money by selling the DLC for 400 MSP each. That would be $10 straight into MS’s pocket, instead of some percentage of $20 in a store. I doubt they make 50% profit on hard copies.

  • Kyaizen

@Golani – Neither Originals nor Indie Games come with achievements. I wish they did, especially the originals.

  • Golani 360

@Kyaizen – Thanks bud. Agree real shame that there are no XBL Achievements.

  • SilentHunter382

I might get Max Payne 2 for that price.

  • Kyaizen

@Golani – No problem. If there were, I’d probably go around getting every indie game there is. Probably far too much work to integrate achievements for originals, but hopefully one day we can see some achievements for indie titles. $1 for 50GS? Hell yeah!

  • sleepydumbdude

Not bad price if I didn’t ever play those games before and still have them on my original xbox.
If I hadn’t I would get GTA and might get Fable. Like San Andreas more than I like GTAIV.

  • moocow21

This should probably be the standard price for these games by now, but I’m not about to start complaining — this is a heck of a lot better than the last few deals.

  • A Place for Us

Got the trilogy pack for £10 pre-owned. I think that was worth it.

  • Exu

Kudos for multiple deals, but these are still cheaper on-disc. 600 might have been the sweet spot like with the Halo deal.
The Fable DLC is a repeat deal too, not to mention that this stuff really ought to have undergone a permanent discount by now.

Still a step in the right direction.

  • Xlrking

I bought Fable 1 ages ago, so anyone who lost their copy should definatly buy it now.

  • AnEternalEnigma

This is how much all the Xbox Originals should be.

A lot of people would buy GTA San Andreas if it was available to them!

  • Sriefer

I really enjoyed Fable II. This might be a silly question but does this Fable I include the Lost Chapters? If not, is that DLC for the first game?

  • wolfzero01

gee no crappy avatar items for the deal of the week?

this seems like a pretty good deal of the week, too bad there aren’t more like these

  • peejam

how about Shenmue 1&2 instead??? ;-)

  • Obsidanse

Ooh, I agree about San Andreas. That one passed me by.
I shall have to find a space in between Final Fantasy 13 and Bioshock 2… Oh my word >.<

  • NEW P4TH

I might buy Max Payne 2. I was always planning on buying the first two Max Payne games ever since they hit marketplace, but just was waiting for the right time. I wish the first one was on sale first, but I guess Ill buy the second one instead. Hopefully Alan Wake turns out great and Remedy gets all the sales they rightfully deserve.

  • Rossa AU

    @VEGEMITE 98
Agreed, if only GTA was available in AUS i might have bought it

…….no interest in Max Payne or Fable, but good deals i guess

@Rossa, they (americans) also have Intellivision Lives on the XBOX Originals which we can’t buy!!! I would have paid 3000mp for that!

also FABLE does NOT include the LOST CHAPTERS so you are really only buying half a game!

  • Sausage Villan

heck yeah the whole reason i got a 360 was so i could play games from the previous console generation …. pfft how about some arcade deals that are good … i mean nice try and some people will enjoy this but the whole xbox games on the xbox 360 seems alittle backwards to me

  • Sriefer

    Thanks Vegemite.

Since it doesn’t include The Lost Chapters, it is a pass for me. Oh well.

@Obsidanse: Time between FF13 and anything else.. Good luck!
I’ve been bouncing between FF13 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 and currently in FF13, I have 46 hours in, still have 60% of the sidequests to do (according to the menus), need to do some Chocobo treasure hunting, and grind for lots of CP to level my characters up some before tackling the endgame.
And in the middle of all that, I get regular requests for multiplayer BFBC2. AHHHHHHHHH!

  • Sticky Owens

Hmmm Max Payne 1+2 were recently in the steam sale for about 3quid for the two of them (gbp i dont have a uk keyboard)

Not such a great deal when the games are so old they will run on just about everybodys pc nowadays IMO

  • Dead General X

Awesome deals. Now how about getting more Xbox originals in the marketplace? Would love to see Phantom Dust on there.

  • Luenkun

I just paid for Max Payne 2 and all I can get is the 80073302 error instead of the game . I’m sooo pissed off right now :( Please fix this bug or whatever it is.

  • chiruno99

Got all 3 already. Not same console but I always preferred Fable and GTASA on the PC, mainly because they feel better imo.

  • Shamrock

Looks like MS was listening to us after the half price Avatar Armor debacle.

  • yolarrydabomb

    Hot damn!

    They do listen!!!!

  • loopingstar

I can’t believe I’ve never played San Andreas before ! I just picked this up for 800 – a bargain for such a good game .
