Aang has learned to Waterbend and now must master the remaining elements of Earth, then Fire. Time is running out. The race is on for Aang to master all the elements before Sozin’s comet passes the earth, increasing the strength of the Fire Nation and turning it into an unconquerable force.

Marketplace, Xbox 360 Games On Demand By Larry Hryb, Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson

back to £19.99 each..shame,because when all the Rare titles came up the other week(PDZ,Viva pinata 1,2 and 3 and Kameo)they were £14.99 and i thought it was good that the price was getting nearer to what should be acceptable for these
    -
i know,i know..we go through this every week about the prices, but it still puts me off seeing these prices,if i had HDD space i would leap at doing these GoD,but only if the prices came down

  • tossetaz

1000G no worth 55$, yeah – that’s how much a GoD costs in Denmark.

  • Christian Doe

SEGA Superstar Tennis is fun. Not for an actual game of tennis, but for the various minigame challenges. The price seems a bit high though, once again — better rent it instead.

  • kaleido42

Seeing Avatar come up gave me a good laugh, I don’t see it selling to well though. Most people only put the necessary 5 minutes into it. At the cost its at anyone interested in it is just going to rent.

  • Kroesis

Avatar – Pay £20, play for 1 minute, discard = 1000GS. Not worth it. If I wanted to boost my GS by 1000 I’d rent it.

  • Kroesis

    Double post…

At least the Major is upfront about it boosting your score!

  • Keohane1586

I have never bought a game on demand from XBOX Live, these games don’t make me want to start.

  • Teh ShadowMan

Avatar: TLA: TBE. $50 AU? You have GOT to be kidding me. major, seriously, long time fan, totally not interested. I can pick this up for $15 or LESS second hand. In fact I may know people who would pay me to take it from them.

  • shane86

    lol, €30, no thanks.

  • Z4M0

lol yeah, avatar is known for the easy and quick achievements. It’s the main reason that made most of people who did, to play it so the price tag isn’t fitting to the game’s selling point.

I wonder who actually demmand those games. I’m sure people rather chosse other stuff if they actually had the chance of really demmanding what they want.

Besides, All Xbox LIVE Regions except Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Portugal, Spain… Wouldn’t be shorter to mention the regions it’s avaliable in? :D

Hope it doesn’t sound like a rant it just made me laugh (both title choices and avaliability)

  • DarkGin87

Major is somethign wrong with xbox.com? the login window fails when i try log in also xbox 360 marketplace comes up witht he message “can’t retrieve information from xbox live” status code 80150101, can you give me an update on this please

  • Rock1t

I can’t sign into Xbox.com either. I keep getting an internal server error….

  • Velete

    £20 for avatar/sonic wtf?

Both can be bought for £2-£4 new at a plethora of places

  • MACPH1ST0

Yeah what’s up with xbox.com, Major? Could you give us a status report that the XBL team is on it? There’s nothing but a “500 – Server error” when you try to do anything on xbox.com now.

  • ObiCiscoNobi

Hahaha Avatar on GoD? Who would actually DL that?

  • TristanP

I bought that Avatar game for $5 from Amazon Marketplace a long time ago. It just sits on the shelf since couldn’t get more then a $1 trade in value for it anywhere else. Let some guys at work borrow it for the 1000GS.

  • Ark Hunter

LOL, why would you not just go rent Avatar and play it for 5 minutes?

  • Shonk jr

I wouldnt buy either of these at £5 never mind £20

Sega Tennis i paid like £3 for not long after it came out new!!

  • Bubblechucker

Oh come on!! You can get Sega Tennis along with Feeding Frenzy, Pac-Man CE, Uno, Boom Boom Rocket and Luxor 2 for $5!!

  • Bubblechucker

@DarkGin87 I’m having the same problem with xbox.com

  • peachy001

A friend of mine purchased Bioshock GOD, he paid £19.99. He cannot trade it in and it therefore has zero resale value. He also cannot lend it to anyone. I lent my copy to a friend and on the strenth of that he has gone out and got Bioshock 2. I got my copy for £10 in mint condition and when I have finished with it I’ll be getting down and trading it for another game. Hopefully Street Fighter IV.

I like the idea of GOD, but the pricing seems crazy. In every case I have seen I can get a physical copy of the game for less. I have the same issue with the Film rentals, I think they should be cheaper. If they were 100pts for a rental then I would dive in quite frequently.

  • peachy001

One more thing, I signed up for the dashboard program on a previous console. Now every time I go to queue up stuff on the Xbox.com marketplace it does not automatically download as it says assigned to another console. I have had my current console since MW2 came out and have bought many items, but it never seems to set it as my primary box. How can I change this?

  • Exu

I remember when Sega Superstars Tennis was £3.75 at ShopTo. That was a good day.
As for Avatar? You should be paying us to play that.

  • SalarymanDaishi

@Ark Hunter: Why even rent Avatar? If gamerscore could simply be bought, it wouldn’t take even those five minutes :)

  • SilentHunter382

Supreme Commander was also added to the GoD in Ireland.

  • xLoCk 0nx

lol I wouldn’t play Avatar if you paid me – that’s what I’d truly call dirty gamerscore :P

  • Rossa AU

Why would anyone bother buying Avatar…..yea games put up on GoD probably only get there because they get alot of sales….but the only reason people bought Avatar was because of the 5 min it took to get the 1000G. So who in their right mind would buy it in a way that you couldn’t get your money back on it?
Granted some people might have played it because they liked it, but that would be a very small amount of people.

  • mccalejk

I think I’m one of the VERY FEW people who own Avatar. It was $5 brand new nearly 2 years ago at Meijer. Of course, I only played it once.

  • Shinji257

@peachy001: Tell it to download all items in queue then it will do it by default in the future.

  • sleepydumbdude

Avatar is horrid. I was the series and was like sweet there a 360 version is out. Got it on clearance at 4.99 at Kmart and I overpaid. The mouths don’t even move on cutscenes.

  • Exu

    http://www.gamestation.co.uk/Games/Xbox-360/SEGA-Superstars-Tennis/~r407876/
Sega Superstars Tennis, £4.98 new or £2.98 preowned.

  • chiruno99

Anyone who’s played Avatar for the 1000g usually just throws it away afterwards. Now they can get buyers remorse with a copy they can’t get rid of.

  • wiirule111

MS have to stop overcharging for GOD if they wanna sell. Most, or all GOD games is cheaper unused and factory sealed in stores now. That way you even physically own it.

I have only bought one GOD so far, and that was “Games for Windows Live” on PC. I got Batman Arkham Asylum for 900 points which is was cheap for this game. It even have same achievements as on 360 version. :)
