Gotta love the inventory blowout sale as if it really existed physical stuff for this and they needed space on the warehouse. Whoever is responsable for that catch was really uninspired. They aren’t erasing those from the servers after the blowout so the comparative doesn’t match for me! )

Thanks for the promo. Those way (as with block party and deals of the week) Microsoft make us buy more often but buyers end up feeling they got more value for their money, so kinda works fine for both parts. More sales, much satified the customer is after purchase.

On a side note (off topic) being perfect dark a critical arcade hit, and having already avaliable banjo 1 and 2 I really hope they bring back CONKER.

Mad Tracks is a great game,and really fun online,but lost its players

Idea: when you do a sale on a game like Lumines… why not run a sale on all other downloads for that game.

These deals are great, some junk games that should have been $5 to begin with but mostly great discounts. would love to see half this number as the deals of the week. One title for a services so big is a little on the low number. Kudos on the good sale!

I like the idea as I want both Age of Booty & Defense Grid from that list. I wonder if now I can convince my wife to let me buy them on the Xbox.

I think this sale is great. It’s a little hard to justify spending $10-$15 on older XBLA games with multiplayer focus because the online communities for them generally don’t last that long. At $5-$7 it’s much easier, and hopefully the sale will give them a shot in the arm.

That’s actually not bad, I might get a good handful of titles from that list.

Please tell your marketing team that if they want to be a contender in the Digital Distribution war with Steam, you need to be doing more sales like this.

I already most of the better games in the sale but might treat myself to mad tracks or rocket riot. I think the sale promotion is great and many of us will pick up games we wouldn’t otherwise. Sony seem to have been doing this for quite a while now and I’ve picked up games on the psn I’d prefer to have on live..

In response to your Twitter post, I think these sales are a good idea because it might encourage more people to buy full games and cause those who are unsure about something to finally buy it. I’m not a fan of premium DLC, but am more likely to purchase things if they are reduced, like the overpriced MW2 Stimulus Map Pack, which should have started off at 800 MSP at the most.

Sales like these are an excellent idea. I’m gonna scoop up South Park and possibly Defense Grid. If you haven’t already, Lumines and Street Fighter are the steals of the sale – buy immediately.

Looks great, and I agree with many comments here. “Inventory” is too wink-wink for DLC, I don’t think it fools anybody unless you’re announcing a delisting. “Price” or “Points” is better, maybe. Using Points Blowout makes me think about spending/saving MS points, and getting a slew of games to earn Gamerscore in return.

Maybe next time round it will have titles I wish to buy. Haven’t bought any of these and don’t want to.

I just picked up Rocket Riot – I must have missed that one when it was first released – what a great game – simple but very fun and addictive – the Live servers for it seem to be a ghost town though – shame .

Good bargains but none of them are actually interesting for me. But it’s not a problem of the sale but of my personal preferences.

Speaking of which, PSN has deals on a rotations of two to four weeks. Not all are great but they’re there. I think it’s time Microsoft responded to that in kind, this is a good start.

Really, it’s about time MS features a deal like this. Even with a slimmer catalog of games, Sony has been consistent with themed PSN sales on a monthly basis. If it seems like too much, perhaps this is something MS could explore with the tenure system? I know it was briefly mentioned that there will be perks for long-time members of XBL.

That being said, for 240MSP, I’m even considering Track & Field.

Considering getting Defence Grid at this price.

You can get this game for about $10-$15.

@silvercube – Thanks for the tip! The DLC for Lumines is the only reason that I don’t own it yet. Horrible way to sell (or in my case, not sell) DLC. I was going to get the base game under this promo, but Qubed looks like it may be the better way to go.

Having 10 games on sale is good, but the selection isn’t all that great. The only one I would’ve bought…I already have. The rest are just meh.

As far as feedback goes, $ale! This household already had 5 of these titles and purchased 4 more today. The only thing we left was Wallace and Gromit, just not our thing here. Track and Field is a stick killer, but I couldn’t let it pass at 240 pts. If you did similar for all your 400 point games, I’d probably scoop ‘em all over time. The missus still wants Sealife Safari to drop… The deal last month with the 400 point kickback was nice, though I’d like to see more contests for points. I’ve already figured out that DLC for all my games would be 50,000+ MSP, so maybe a buy-in 50/50 draw for MSP or something? I know I’m not the only one who could drop a lot of points in the arcade alone.

I have SF2:HF already, loved it since early childhood!! Whats this Super Street Fighter like? Worth my 560 points? Anyone give me any ideas as ive never played it, cheers

I just got Super Street Fighter II HD Remix today and it is worth 560 MP if you like the classic 2D SF games. The game looks really good on my 50″ 1080p.
Go for it.

Major, here’s your feedback: This is of course an EXCELLENT idea to have a sale like this, and will not only boost sales for some of these games, but also breathe some new life into their dwindling online communities. It’d be best if this was a monthly event that lasts at the very least a couple weeks, if not the whole month until it changes over. I’m personally not that much interested in any of the games on this list other than Lumines, but as previously suggested, I’ll probably just get Qubed instead since I’m also interested in E4. Maybe there could be a couple top-tier Arcade titles added to the list? It doesn’t even need to be this many games either. If this was a monthly event, it could be about this many items, but maybe even be about half & half with Arcade games and DLC. I know personally there’s a LOT of DLC for a LOT of the games that I own that I’m currently feeling lukewarm about but would be VERY tempted to snatch up if I saw they were on sale. Please let the marketing team know to make it happen, and thanks for passing the word on!

I really don’t care what you have and I don’t really feel the need to flaunt what I have. I will say this my games played list is really a games OWNED list. I keep 3 gold accounts, which I’ve had for 5yrs, 4yrs and 2yrs and all are paid thru 2011. I could go on but, I don’t care too. I’ll also say that if you are that excited about saving 5.00 dollars, you don’t have money. I probably give away at least 5.00 on a daily basis to the homeless.

Oh, I’m not into social classes stuff (George Lucas might don’t be either looking how he dresses!) but if someone asked me, I’d tell it’s about not to boasting about how much you got or just coming to materialist terms, the one who have more than the norm or paid less for it. Usuall who pay less end up having more.

While I don’t like to label people nor myself, in the end if I had 5 and paid 3 and someoe had 5 maybe 6 but paid 9 I won’t consider him more high on social scale bug higher in being literrally, an a s s.

By far this is one of the best “deals” they have done since I’ve owned my Xbox 360. Last night my friends and I bought Mad Tracks and Track and Field. Both are a really good deal for the sale price. We may check out a few other games before the sale officially ends, but we still have to catch up on our MW2 map pack and Perfect Dark before Splinter Cell comes out! Deals like this are definitely a plus because when arcade titles cost 800 ($10) or 1200 ($15) points, sometimes we fear the cost may not be worth the playing time we’ll get out of the title so we don’t buy them. The lower cost makes it an easier buy and gives us a better since of value on some of these titles.

In the future, I would love to see this kind of deal being done monthly. Weekly would be nicer, but is unrealistic from a business standpoint. Not only would this increase sales, but this would also reinvigorate the online community for some of these arcade titles lacking them.

Kindof reminds you of the ‘bargain’ bins you see on Boxing day. Largely crap that would never sell otherwise. SF2 is the only decent title there.
