I’m not one to bitch about prices, but $20 Conan…..seriously??

  • Exu

Bad games shouldn’t see the light of day once, let alone twice.

  • SinedX360

    Thanks for information :-)

That would be ‘great’ to release RAIDEN IV on Marketplace…(PAL area)

    Cheers

Wow talk about pricing fail here. Conan is like $10 in stores. And even at only $10 it is still priced way too high. The publisher should pay you to play it or at least just to dispose of it.

  • JoeCool314

@Japan Region – RUN!!!…….FAR AWAY FROM PROJECT SYLPHEED!!!……..if you really want this game I will give you my copy!! I bought it brand new from the Gamestop for $10 in the bargin bin and found out why it was in there…….it’s CRAP!

  • LawdaddyCO

Am I the only one who thought NBA Street Homecourt was fun? I enjoyed it…definitely worth a rental.

For those who care about gamerscores…it has easy points.

  • metallicorphan

£14.99 is better than the usual £19.99..but i still think i will pass on any of these

  • JoeCool314

    Passing these fo sho!

  • JP93087

Not the best games in my opinion. Where are other platinum hits like Dead or Alive 4 or Left 4 Dead?

  • MACPH1ST0

Conan is actually pretty fun if you like games with gameplay like God of War, and $20 is a good price for it if you can’t find it in stores.

  • tananset360

    Conan $20!? it’s better be $12 or $15

  • darkjester74

Is there some rule at MS marketing that says no GoD title can ever drop below $20? Conan should be $10, TOPS.

  • The Bill Payer

You could at least release a good game along with this crap can’t you?

  • MACPH1ST0

Funny how almost all of these people complaining about Conan being overpriced haven’t even played the game. If you like the God-of-War style of gameplay, you should at least give it a try first before you have any right to complain about it. It was just as good if not better than Dante’s Inferno (not that that’s any high benchmark to reach though).

  • I chex mix ho I

    @darkjester74
well microsoft already charges 15 bucks each for xbox originals (yes you can still buy them but they just no longer have multiplayer support) and since those are so ridiculously high priced, they can’t have any 360 games being the same price. then people would realize how bad the pricing is for certain things on xblm. well more so than they already do.

  • Xlrking

    @MACPH1STO
Oh get out of here with that optimism, we all know the prices can get horribly unfair to a consumer, which makes people NOT want to play it, even if its decently playable.

  • DiggyStyle

Is there some kind of issue with Live today? I can’t download any DLC. I get an error code on the XBox, and just a “Sorry” on xbox.com and am asked to “Try again later”. Anyone have this problem? Not these games, just DLC in general.

    @MACPH1ST0
Dont kid yourself, Conan was a big steamy pile of dung. I cant believe the guy compares it to GoW….

  • The Pizman

I was hopeing to see SC Double Agent

  • Monhegan

I played Conan. It was a good time and recommend it to friends. Give it a try before you slam it.

  • MACPH1ST0

@ Xlrking: How is the pricing on this game “horribly unfair”? Even Amazon has it currently with a list price of $19.99. At least it’s not on Games on Demand with the $29.99 price tag that they were initially selling these games at.
@ o0 Daz 0o: “The guy” was only comparing the style of gameplay, not the games themselves. And that’s why it was judged unfairly. Because they chose to use the GoW style of gameplay for the game, it also got inevitably compared to God of War (just like with Dante’s Inferno did too). And since God of War set the standard so high, any other game that plays like it will end up looking mediocre in comparison. I know it’s just an average game at best, but if people would just give it a chance and enjoy it for what it is and stop trying to compare it to anything else, it’s actually a pretty fun game.
@ Monhegan: Thanks, it’s nice to see someone else who was open-minded about the game.

  • Xlrking

I didnt mean just that one game, i meant most of the library of GOD, but still yes, it isnt worth even buying, just a rent.

  • Monoxide Child

I have an issue with selling a game were you cannot obtain all of the achievements, since the servers are offline all online achievements are unobtainable.

  • SCS 85

Those are pretty good base prices. Can’t really expect retail games to be $20 on normal price.

If only these games went on sale like Steam, then the prices wouldn’t seem so bad.

  • MACPH1ST0

@ Monoxide Child: Yes, that’s a very good point that happens quite often with sports games like these, especially ones from EA. That really should be noted in the descriptions for Games on Demands games like this being sold with discontinued online servers, not just for the sake of online achievements but mostly for people who might be interested in playing the game online. Games like that should be sold at a discount because, unless there’s any plans to actually reconnect the online servers for it (and in the case of EA, that’s highly unlikely), you’re only getting a partial product.

  • I DLord I

    Pass.

  • RuairiAU

I think this a case of M$ underlining the base price for GoD. We all know these games are sh%t, so we accept it when they price good games at a premium.

  • chiruno99

    There was a Conan game?

  • Sneltje

    I bought Conan new for 4 euro’s

    LOL!

    Chop!!
