Dang it.. Snubbed! One of the real reasons I dislike Maine.. No one comes here.. *pout* At least I’ve convinced my family that if I get Kinect for Xmas, I will not bug them for another game related thing for a while.. Just wish I could get down to see it. Dang my work schedule!!!

Wow it’s so close I can’t wait to shell out £70+ for a couple of VGA cameras and a software platform for cheaply-made shovelware.

Call the wahhhhhhmbulance. No stops in Jersey, and while I hit NYC during the week, I don’t get there on the weekends. Minor fail.

My brother went to the Denver store to try it out and it was oped off and not available to the public. He said that is looked like they were having some kind of media event earlier that day.

During the PBR in vegas! I’ll be sure to steer clear of that one.

You’d be hard-pressed to find me at Six Flags in DC just to try it out.

Is it available at the MS stores full-time now? It was released that one weekend a couple weeks ago, but when I stopped in the following Monday (it’s close to my work location, not my home), they had already put it away, saying it was a weekend event only.

LOVE that Minnesota is listed on both the East Coast list (Aug. 26–30 St. Paul, MN Minnesota State Fair) and the West Coast list (July 15–Aug. 22 Minneapolis, MN Mall of America). That’s almost a month and a half of being able to check it out. Sometimes it’s not so bad to be a No-Coast State.

I’m kind of sad not to see it in St. Louis as well… the trip to Chicago from Mt. Vernon is just a bit to long

Shreveport here, I’ll be there at the state fair to see Kinect. I probably won’t like it, but I’ll try it anyway.

I think it’s only good news. As much as Major Nelson tries to be mr “man of the (xbox) people” he just seems like a smiling grinning corporate puppet for microsoft.

He posted the news about the 1 vs 100 cancellation on his Twitter account right after it went public, along with a link to the official press release about it.

I still think that even if i get to try this thing, with its selection of games i will still be playing something i could get on a wii.
Im still not impressed by its games to actually want to enjoy it.

I love how St. Paul is “East Coast” and Minneapolis is “West Coast” despite the fact that they touch and they are nowhere near either coast. (And the Mall of America isn’t even in Minneapolis, by the way. It’s in the suburbs. And we don’t GO to the suburbs.)

I could be wrong, but there has not been too many positive reviews of these events so far… from what I read not a great response and the people in charge don’t seem to be knowledgable of the setup… if anyone finds positive reviews please post them… I am still not sold on kinect- I will wait and hold off judgement until the picture is clearer… regardless I feel this will not be a purchase for me and my family until it is under $100 with a game….

Hmm… I just can’t see Kinect succeeding, I really can’t. Seems overly expensive [can't wait to see how they convert $150 into UK pounds....] and the games don’t look too hot. The whole “control xbox menus with Kinect” looks more like a chore, than being any fun, it just serves to slow you down selecting what you want to do. “Joy ride” looks like a really bad Mario Kart clone and the only other things I’ve seen just scream “Wii sports” – and I’ve been there and done that… 4 years ago.

Bleh, I just left the Mall of America on the 14th…
