So, uh…how is this going to work? Do we need iPhone 4s, will this work with a Webcam/PC, or what?

  • xAngelSerranox

Hey Major can try you ask if any of the live functionality will be put over to the Zune HD.

  • NorthernEmperor

    cool

  • a peeking duck

Tjoeb123: phones using Windows Phone 7 only.

  • mtj

major – nobody with half a brain uses windows mobile phones. Just suck it up and make an iPhone and Android app.

  • Hoffer

I’m assuming it will be announced eventually. Please put Xbox Live on the Zune HD. I already have an iPhone 4 and have no interest in switching to WP7. I’d pick up a 16 GB Zune HD in a second if it had Xbox Live.

  • chiruno99

The best thing about a Nokia 6500 is that it dosen’t have Crap Apps over complicating it, and a longer battery life.

  • Ted Supreme

The new Windows phone looks pretty good, but I’m an Android man now. Already invested in a few fantastic apps.

  • UnbeatenBIGDOG

Phone does look cool. But I’ve had iPhone since they launched and I’m not planning on switching but I would love a great Xbox Live app made by the awesome people at Microsoft.

  • Exu

I’m only interested in phones that let me phone and text but I may get one of these if the price is right. I care not for iPhones and apps and whatnot but adding in Xbox Live functions to phoning and texting is alright for me.

Still think it’s daft restricting it to your own phones though.

  • Spargo CXVII

    I Want My WP7 Now…..Pls

  • Blue Thunder28

    This Phone will be mine.

  • CodeSe7en

Still planning the Twitter integration (like Facebook’s) as originally announced?
Still planning on having the Netflix app for streaming instant movies??
Thanks, can’t wait for my WP7!

  • Glenn ZA

Not a big Windows Phone fan but I can say WP7 has tickled my interest.
Never been a mobile or hand-held gamer either but being able to access LIVE captures me.

  • Vice Destroyer

There really is only one question that I need answering. With me being virtually tethered to the iTunes store with all the purchases I have made over the past few years, is this new W7 phone good enough for me to suck it up and leave Steve Jobs overpriced, but still excellent, phone? Having Xbox Live on your phone is such an awesome concept, but the iPhone 4 has enchanted me. It is going to take something FANTASTIC to break my Apple addiction. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the W7 is it.

  • Grubish360

@mtj – Umm, have you seen this OS. It’s amazing. If not here is a in depth preview engadget did: http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/19/windows-phone-7-in-depth-preview/ And here is a preview of Xbox Live: http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/16/xbox-live-launch-titles-for-windows-phone-7-finally-revealed-we/

  • Vulak Aerr

Looking forward to it. Using WM6.5 at the moment but the XBL integration on this thing has brushed away most of my doubts. Makes me glad I didn’t jump ship to Android or… god forbid, Apple.

  • MajinDustin

Is this going to be recorded so I can watch it later?

  • MajinDustin

Also I can’t wait for this, please get a launch date for us! :)

  • HsitH

Hey, why Microsoft is not giving to Zune HD the support it deserves?, That Xbox Live app is perfect for it.

  • deejay194

I might get this it looks awsome how much does it cost

  • AriesDog

Hey guys asking for this on iPhone and Android, getting access to the Xbox Live service we all love is one of they key features for Windows Phone 7. So it will NOT be coming to those platforms. It’d be like asking Apple to sync the iTunes store with Android. Don’t judge WP7 by Windows Mobile. Microsoft recognized WinMo outlived its usefulness and this is a new OS written from the ground up. (Which is why WinMo apps won’t work on WP7.) I’ve been following the development and it looks really promising. Paul Thurrott has an excellent website covering it at http://windowsphonesecrets.com/

  • SekondaHuet

I wish there was an Xbox Live endevour for the iPhone.

  • Exu

This is rubbish. The voice and video is out of synch, and it just played the same part twice.

  • AMT

They really need an option to use a controller, 360 controller via a dongle attachment, or something. No one wants to control Master Chief while rubbing the screen. Touch Game sucks! Granted I will be purchasing the phone, but number of games I buy is related to the control I have.

  • AMT

People come up to me with their Android: “Look I can play Super Mario Brothers on my Phone!” I watch for a while, and then say. “You can’t even finish the first level you Stumble Bum Drunk you. You trying to rub one off with Mario on screen and you can’t even make it to the flag to jump on it.”

  • SeeUInTheFuture

    Is this available for TMobile?

  • a1984darkboy

Seeing as how I have yet to really join the current gen of phone models, the more I keep hearing about this, the more I like it. My only worry is from the phone provider perspective. Who’s gonna give me my phone line?

  • EveofLight

Not really into the mobile phone crap, but this phone has gotten me interested, hmmm.

  • ElektroDragon

I want the phone… but I can’t afford ridiculous $60 monthly phone fees! Make the fees low for people who rarely use voice but want connectivity and XBLA on the go!

  • UNSCleric

All this Xbox Live functionality should be being worked on into the Zune HD. I won’t buy into this phone stuff, I already have an HTC Evo 4G and have always be a loyal Xbox and Zune customer, buying an Xbox 360, an Xbox 360 Elite, and an Xbox 360 S, Zune 30GB, and Zune HD all on launch day.

  • Lohengriehn

Sorry to say, but for me XBL belongs to XBOX360. Phone looks nice though.

  • sobnekahcS moT

I heard XBL won’t launch on WP7 in the Netherlands for a whill.. MS wtf is your problem with us. :’)

  • tbs0

    Looks nice! :)

  • Kinectamaniac

When is YuGiOh 5D’s Decade Duels releasing on the Xbox LIVE Arcade? I want an answer.

  • skullivan

If the ZuneHD doesn’t (or isn’t) going to support this it was a huge waste of time. There’s no way I’d invest in a Windows7 phone but it might get me to buy a ZuneHD which I previously would never have considered because of the complete lack of apps/games. Microsoft has gotten way too big for their own good when they can’t synchronize products within their own company.

Do you think the iPod Touch would be as popular if it couldn’t run apps from the App Store?

  • Twisted xL3G3ND

Implement xbl Party chat and i might get it.

  • TANK 2old2play

I’m not interested in windows phone 7 but I would love to see these features added to the next version of Zune. That i’d buy.

  • Real Xebec

Windows Phone 7 has to be the worst name for a phone since Windows Mobile. Zune Phone or zphone much better. You have catchy names like Iphone, Android, Blackberry, and then you have Windows Phone 7. Who ever is in charge of the marketing department needs to do. This is just plain ridiculous.

  • ANGERMAX

I happen to like the name Windows Phone 7.

  • Punisher138

This is gonna be on Verizon too right? Because there aint no way I’m going with AT&T

  • Iii Am Reptar

I’m with the few that want Xbox LIVE feature on ZuneHD. Though, I’m fine with the apps, I hardly use most of them. If any, I always use the Stopwatch, and Facebook if I’m listening to a fantastic song or artist, that more people should know about. But why not Achievements on ZuneHD games? It is a microsoft device, one that was out WAY before this Win7 phone.
