Despite having no online multiplayer I’m still going to pick this up – A bit expensive at 1200 pts but such a fun game , it’s probably worth it

there is also a free Zombie mask to download from the avatar marketplace for plants Vs Zombies

@metallicorphan Thanks for the tip-off. Free gear is always good and this sorts my avatar out for halloween. Mind you, I wish that there was a proper arcade/MMO game specifically using the avatars. They got close’ish to it with their original Joyride plans and 1vs100 had limited avatar interaction with random players.

Hmm, a game I bought ages ago for my PC, and Plants Vs Zombies. (I joke, I bought Plants V Zombs.)
I didn’t pay that much for it either.

Too bad the download for the free mask dosen’t even work.

chiruno99 is correct, the zombie mask download does not work in the avatar marketplace.

Hmmm… the problem is more than just the mask for me, I can’t download the pvz demo either. Seems like a problem with the website. Maybe it will work on the console…

Okay. Don’t know who’s responsible on this one (PopCap, Microsoft, or both), but this is RIDICULOUS. Plants VS Zombies has been out for WAY too long, and you can purchase it from numerous other sources for WAY under $15USD. It’s even on the iPhone for $2.99. I don’t care how much extra they put in the XBLA version. Nothing merits that much higher of a price.

Actually Mr. Penguins, P vs Z cost $20 normal retail on PC, at least that was a couple weeks ago. I think you can get it on Steam for $10 maybe, or maybe that was a sale when I saw it.

Trying to receive mask on 360 provides an error

When trying to get through xbox.com it labels it as free in marketplace but item itself says 160
When trying to click “Download to 360″ it produces an error’d page

OK now on opera, its labeled as free before purchasing but it errors. and on IE it labels as 160 and allows for purchase

I’ve already got PvZ on iPhone and PC. So no need to buy it again, it might’ve considered it at 800 points though. It’s a lot cheaper on Steam btw, so I’d recommend getting it there instead of XBL.

what is this Dance game? Does it require Kinect or something?

I got my free avatar mask and I bought it and plus I already have it for the iphone and my ipad. This game is so cool. I’m so excited it’s on the xbox 360 now. I’ve been saving my points for about a week just to get this game. Is The avatar mask not free anymore or what? I’m just asking cause people are saying they are charging for it but when I downloaded it,it said 0 points.

This should be 800. Also…some people got a free zombie mask and now it costs 160 ms points? Never going to buy it now.

its a shame that more and more games are being 1200 points…..Capcom last week did a good job with DRCZ being 400 points,and got over 300k sales

i bet that everyone here in these comment pages would of bought PVZ for 400,instead of just two people here buying it for 1200 (if everyone bought the game here for 400points,it would of made 8000+ MSpoints -instead of two sales at 1200 which make 2400 points)..i think that should be worth considering from Devs/MS/Whoever

Probably get Plants vs Zombies again got it on steam for 7 bucks not that long ago but have unlocked and done everything and got my wisdom tree over 200. Will go ahead and get it again because I am still addicted to it and wouldn’t mind trying it on 360.

Yeah there was a glitch earlier with the mask apparently, because it said free, then when I tried to download it said there was an error, then it went to 160 MS points.

In my opinion MS and Developers are handling this avatar gear wrong. The business that would be drummed up, and free advertising given when all the suddenly everyone is wearing a zombie mask would be worth a lot more then the 160 points you might get from someone buying the gear ( Plus make it usable by everyone on the same xbox not per user )

Lol! I queued it via xbox.com when I was at work and it downloaded when I turned on my Xbox. Got it free! Guess I was one of the few lucky ones. I ‘purchase’ anything that’s going for free on the marketplace, even if I don’t want it there and then, precisely because of eventualities like this.

Sorry to double post but what is going on with Xbox.com? Recent images for items on the marketplace have just been an image of the Xbox360 logo (http://www.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/Marketplace/defaults/avatarGear_Poster.jpg) instead of an actual preview, the achievements for the Lair of The Shadow Broker are just white question marks (even when attained) and Snoopy’s Suppertime of Destruction DLC achievements STILL havent been added!

Major, get you’re best boots on and start going Duke Nukem on whoever necessary to get this stuff sorted out, it’s basic stuff. I’ll not bother to mention the price rise…

Hehe was one of the lucky ones taht got the free mask also. It seems Ill pass on this game. No online mode in 2010 doesnt sound like a must-buy. Waiting for DotW it seems. Lets see what the weekend brings to me

Ouch… $5 game, tops. Really get bored of these kind of games quickly.

1200 = No Go. Even more so with this game.
It comes to the 360 later than any other format, and then you have the gall to ask for MORE money than it costs on said other formats?
And don’t give me “but it has more content”, that’s supposed to be recompense for being last, not an excuse to charge more!

Such odd pricing Popcap does. Always has. $10 on Steam, $15 XBLA, $20 on their site. I don’t get it.

Plants vs. Zombies is really good and funny but… 1200 Microsoft Points? no way, I have it for the iPhone and payed $3.00.

1200 MS points is truly overpriced. It’s a multi-platform game…most ppl should hv played it already on iphone, iPad or PC…charging a brand new game/IP for 1200 pts is barely OKAY…but this game s/be 800 pts at MAX even I love this game soooo much…will wait for it go on sale…

Great game however it is ridiculously overpriced, you can get the game of the year edition for half this price. Microsoft are starting to make a trend with pricing all these new games at 1200, only a few are actually worth that.

Very fun game, but it’s pretty expensive for $15. I already have it for my iPod though.

I agree with those waiting for a DotW offer on Plants vs. Zombies. It seemed quite fun but not for that price.

I think I will stick to the retail version…$19.99, and it includes Peggle and Zuma. Since there
is no online co-op, no reason to have it on multiple consoles (i.e. digital download), so I would rather save the money, and I prefer disc copies anyhow. Will wait till this gets lower, I have the PC version and I need to finish that one first. Damnit I missed the free mask >.>

How do you know that?. I bought a few 1200 point games for 560 MS points. 53% off i think. It can happen.

@Alfred – oh yeah… Battlefield 1943 right? Forgot about that one… I guess it does happen; but rarely. Maybe next christmas that game will be the lucky one to drop substantially.

This is a bunch of fun, but not for 1200. I need to be more conservative with my purchases.
