    -
The rest of the list is awful. Games which have been on sales too many times.

  • chiruno99

Good thing they’re Energiser Batteries, the only batteries available!

  • Wiizpig

We need DEALS ON THE DLC for Castlevania HoD, not the game itself.

400 points for a level, 240 points for a character… is Konami insane? we need deals on that.

  • rul8agn

Just got Castlevania about 5 minutes ago and Tomb Raider last night. Not a bad combo for 1200 points.

  • I chex mix ho I

    @bullka LT
what are you talking about? monday night combat, limbo, perfect dark are just a few of the games that will be on sale that have NEVER been on sale. when has the mass effect 2 dlc or fable 3 dlc been on sale?

  • Wiizpig

Mass Effect 2 DLC was on sale a few weeks ago but NOT the Liara one: if that’s going to be on sale then it’s perfect.

    @ I chex mix ho I

    Thanks for the list.

Now I’ll finally get Castlevania HoD, I’ve been expecting for a long time for this kind of deal to show up!

    :D

  • ElektroDragon

Thanks chex! Now I know to wait for Fable III DLC, the Sonic games, and Limbo, all of which I will grab along with the three headliner arcade games. Woot!

  • ElektroDragon

Also, I wouldn’t even spend 400 for this iteration of Castlevania. Godawful.

  • Chicken Wyng

Definitely getting Castlevania, Perfect Dark and Limbo. I don’t even bother paying full price for XBLA games anymore. I’m probably in the minority when I say I actually like deals like these. When I can get 2-3 games for the price of one 1200 point game, it seems like a no brainer to me.

I’m real upset at the summer games for sale. They got many of us to buy these games when they came out by giving us points(a whopping $5 if we spent $45, and $10 if we spent $75) if we did and now they are all going on sale for half off, FU MS. Bad enough I sign up to the rewards program where pretty much points only go to new live members or ones about to renew and now nothing being offered to the loyal customers who bought these summer titles at 1200 points each. MS shows more greed at the season of giving. They know the people who havent bought these games because of the 1200 pt cost will now, why not at least give some points to the live members who bought these summer games at $15? HAHA, I know. MS is equal to Activision and EA when it comes to greed. Happy Holidays to everyone, but MS you get coal from me.

  • sk00ks

@SkyyPlum (and countless others who moan about, oh, every sale and discount Microsoft ever has)
I’m sorry, I must have missed the part where Microsoft forced you to buy the games when you did. Do you complain in a shop when there’s a sale? “EXCUSE ME, CASHIER, I bought this twelve pack of beer last week at full price, NOW it’s on sale? WELL THAT DOESN’T SUIT ME! HOW GREEDY OF YOU!” This kind of thing happens all the time, don’t act like it’s just Microsoft. I bought my fiancée a shirt for Christmas two weeks ago for £10. A week later it went on sale at half-price. Annoying, yes, but I didn’t take it personally.

You know, I expect greed from a CORPORATION but man, the greed of some of you people astounds me.

  • skydogcom

    Alan Wake DLC m$200.

  • SkyyPlum

Skoots, its what they put on sale and when they put it on sale, and how MS offers great deals to bring in new customers while doing nothing for long term loyal customers. And I never said force, I said got. They are putting all the summer of arcade games on sale, if you paid $15 on each one of these games and then saw them drop in price by 50% you’d get a little upset to if your right in the head. Plus, your store comparison doesn’t compare as in they do different sales on a weekly basis and have for decades, and they are not digital purchases. I wouldn’t care if some big name arcade games from the past year were put on sale but when they select every Summer of arcade game up for sale, it aggrivating. This company does not give long term customersa tenth of what they give to non customers of theirs trying to lure them in. I now bring up their Rewards program, get 100 ms points for your first netflix use on the 360, get 400 points for signing up to xbox live or a 12 month renewal, etc… These are all great for first time users and as for renewal it doesn’t do anything for those of us who are paid up for a long time. Plus it says get points for buying from the marketplace, or doing surveys, etc.. well its been a week and I’ve bought from the marketplace-0 points pending, did the survey-0 points pending, et.. -0 points pending. I’ve been using MS products since Bill Gates was young geeky and barely a millionaire so I have an idea how this company has changed towards pure greed. Now, I love my 360, I love Xbox live, I just really hate how long term customers get so little while non and new get so much and nor did we when we signed up to xbox live years ago. But what I hate more is when a gamer like you skoots gets on and gets all defensive for MS more so than their legal team would. Its not greed to get upset about getting ripped off, its greed to want non stop. I’ll stop ranting, and i’m even more mad now how many times your post made me use I in this reply.

  • sk00ks

“Defensive more than their legal team?” Ha! Good one. No, several times on this blog I have slagged off Microsoft for various things. They’re a shitty corporation just like any other and they don’t value their customers. It may surprise you but we agree on that. No, what pisses me off is that literally every single time Microsoft discounts ANYTHING on Xbox, the same old moaners come out and complain. It wasn’t the right avatar item, it wasn’t the right DLC, it wasn’t the right arcade game. A lot of people who post here have such a sense of entitlement. The sale isn’t what THEY PERSONALLY want, so automatically Microsoft have it in for them. Now, when I walk down the high street and I see sales containing items that don’t interest me, I don’t go into the shops and complain. Sales aren’t some big conspiracy theory there to piss you off, they exist to make money.
Sure it’s annoying that these games have already been on sale / involved in another deal, namely the summer of arcade one. But what do you expect, that those games never be on sale again in order to keep you happy? Come on.
Regarding the rewards program, yet another thing people moan about. Firstly, it’s free to sign up. They give you points for free. It’s a shame you haven’t had yours, but I’ve had mine, as have many of my XBL friends, so it’s definitely not another big conspiracy theory there to piss you off. Secondly, why should you get anything over new customers just because you got there first? I’ve been a loyal customer to my phone network for almost ten years, but I don’t bitch and moan every time they set up some form of rewards scheme for new customers. Newsflash, COMPANIES LIKE NEW CUSTOMERS. Is it annoying that new customers get better and better rewards, rewards current customers miss out on? Yes. Is it greedy? No. You said it yourself, they want to entice new customers. Name one single business that doesn’t want to do that. Sure there are many ways to do it but they’re not being underhand, they’re making money. Just because you sprang forth from the uterus in time to use Microsoft products before little Bobby over there, that doesn’t mean you’re entitled to more than him.
PS my name is sk00ks, with k’s ;)
