33%? come on. This is happening the same time as Ea’s deal? we know where my points are going.

  • AndGar

Another disappointing deal of the week. Plants vs. Zombies should have been in last week’s deal of the week with something new this week. I am not sure how deal of the week is chosen but it should be better than this. We should know EA’s deals by today right? Hopefully EA’s deal will be better.

  • Haggard Demon

So many times I have wanted a gifting option. My bro would have loved this.

  • Toothball

So with a Zombie themed deal last week and a Plants versus Zombies deal this week, are we to expect a Plant themed deal next week? I can’t find any holes in that logic.

  • Lavindathar

Here is the EA Deal, and according to the EA site its 50% off every item. I might skip PvZ because of what EA have on offer.

    Major,
I know this isn’t the place to say this but i have nowhere else. the big daddy bouncer avatar outfit was changed to the prototype big daddy outfit when the dashboard changed a few months back. I thought that by now some on would have caught this and rectified the error but that has not happened. Please inform who ever is responsible for the avatars to change the outfit back to a bouncer big daddy outfit.
    Thanks in advance

About damn time. It should have happened last week. Another thing, I would have bought the game immediately if it debuted at 800MSP.

    @Lavindathar

There will be more suprises because I caunt 22 items on that and Major Nelson said this :
Additionally, from January 18 through January 25, fans can enjoy a special one-time savings of up to 50 percent on more than 25 pieces of Electronic Arts content, including fun Arcade games and more!
For details, please check your Xbox LIVE Dashboard on January 18.

More than 25 pieces, soo I’m curious what the other items are

Thanks for the info. I’ll be picking up both Deathspanks.

Might have to get some points since I wanted to get Scott Pilgrim and Makoto for Blazblue. Nearly bought them but I remembered the ea sale.

God, the deals of the week for the longest time have been completely terrible. Discounting something from $15 to $10 isn’t going to get me to buy it if I haven’t already. If a game wasn’t worth paying the initial full price for, than I will not consider it unless it’s $5 or less. Go back to discounting games to 400 points or 240 points and then I’ll start utilizing my Gold membership discount.

  • Ai Kago

The game should have been 800 points to start with, then discounted to 400 points. Lets face it, its just a cheap mobile phone flash type game anyway.

  • I DLord I

    @ Ai Kago

    1. Popcap made this game
    2. Cheap mobile phone flash type game? for shame
    3. Yes, it is the priciest version available for $15 and I think that price point is silly
    4. It originally was developed and released for PC and Mac, not mobile phones
    5. I don’t think it would be too far fetched to say practically all of the XBLA games could be made for mobile phones using flash.
    6. If you DO own a mobile gaming device or phone, buy it there. Great game for the road or a plane trip.

  • Ark Hunter

Shame the DotW isn’t at least 50% all the time. The big holiday deals being even deeper discount.

  • chiruno99

Picked this up on Steam during the holidays at a discount, can’t blame them since it was a bigger price cut and the mouse control is far superior to pad. To be fair if you didn’t then and are complaining about the price here, you’ve only yourself to blame. Had the opportunity to undermine this deal around Christmas.

  • Peter Ark

@Lavindathar: Thanks for the news for the real deals!

Comment on Plants vs. Zombies: lol :D:D:D:D no comments!

  • a1984darkboy

Great game, I paid $20 for the retail version and I don’t regret one bit. Well worth the cash.

  • MACPH1ST0

@Lavindathar: I sure hope that list is incomplete and that ME2 DLC is going to be part of it starting tomorrow.

  • tylerh1701

@Lavindathar – THanks for the list. Deathspank 2 FTW, got the first one for PS3 when it was on sale. WIll probably also get Microbot (total kick in the teeth for anyone who shelled out full price for this a few weeks ago). I’d be fine if they did put the ME2 DLC up again, but totally understandable if they don’t, as it was just on sale a few weeks ago

  • Blue Thunder28

???????? This game is well worth 1200… and seeing this amazing deal I just knew there’d somehow be negative comments… love it.

  • Jonah Falcon

The DS version that came out today is $20, so stop whining about 800 MSP ($10).
