Gears of War 3 Multiplayer Beta Kicks off April 25

Join the battle for Sera and help shape the biggest blockbuster of 2011 when the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta launches on April 25, exclusively on Xbox LIVE! Fans who preorder a copy of Gears of War 3 from participating GameStops will receive three weeks of beta access and get an early taste of three spectacular competitive multiplayer modes on four brand new maps, as well as a chance to unlock exclusive content. Bulletstorm: Epic Edition owners will get early access starting April 18 through the Bulletstorm disc.

Xbox LIVE Community Making Historic Guinness World Record Attempt Through “Kinect Sports” on April 23

Marking a free weekend of entertainment on Xbox LIVE, dubbed Xbox Nations, “Kinect Sports” players around the globe will join together and attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest online 100m sprint’ at 10 a.m. PDT on Saturday, April 23. Players can participate by jumping on Xbox LIVE, firing up “Kinect Sports,” and running a 100-meter dash event at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Each and every runner will be rewarded with an exclusive Xbox and Guinness World Record Avatar t-shirt. Rare has more details on their blog.

  Shadow Complex is only better for a single player experience. Castle crashers is hilarious fun with friends though. Personally, castle crashers is one of my favorite games of all time, including retail. Shadow complex was ok but its too easy. CC has insane mode at least.

How do we know when to do the sprint? People’s clocks could be off by one or two minutes which could in theory screw up the record. Will there be some sort of “universal clock” posted by Rare so we can know when to do the sprint?

Can you tell us just what the Sega sale entails? Because since December, Sonic 4′s been on sale THRICE including this one, while the non-Sonic Megadrive/Genesis games have NEVER been on sale (except maybe Gunstar Heroes might have been, I can’t remember).

You drop all those games to 200 each and I will but the heck out of them.

  Under “Avatar Marketplace” in the blog it says “all content are subject to change.”
  I remember when the Final Fantasy Avatar collection was due, but didn’t come out til the month afterwards. Give it time, as I’m sure Microsoft will release it soon before, or after L.A. Noire’s release.

Btw Major, Just change the blog’s font to a darker shade of gray, and the links to a bit of a darker shade of green. It’s fine like it is on some monitors, but people shouldn’t have to change their picture settings just to read your blog, and making the font a little darker would keep everybody happy. All you have to do is change 2 little numbers in the code right? Should take about 12 seconds lol.
