    So Black Ops will be on top until Nov. 8th, when Modern Warfare 3 arrives. Then CoD will be the Top 3 for one year. Way to go, Activision!

    I find it mildly annoying that Black Ops is always number 1. Of course it’s popular, but I wish people would broaden their gaming experience and try out new ones.

    As long as I have a better gamerscore and a better experience playing every game on the market, i dont care if losers keep shelling out for the same Call of Duty game in different wrappers. LA Noire, Red Dead, Fallout 3, and Assassin’s Creed were the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had in my life! Great storytelling, gameplay, and unforgettable memories made playing them. I never had that from Call of Duty (it’s flooded with campers and children).

        It’s probably wishful thinking, just like COD overtaking Halo 3 in 2007 was wishful, and dreamy thinking. Never hurts to hope for a something new and different. From what I’ve seen of Battlefield 3 it deserves some hype.

      No. It is the most people who have played the game while logged into live, not the most people who have played an online game.

    How sad. Portal 2 is already out of the top 20. It’s good but not much in the replayability dept. I wonder if the DLC will help that any. Probably not long term.

    Why does it have to be continually explained that all games have a Xbox Live component? Regardless of whether or not the game has a multi-player/online mode, activity is still tracked for those people playing the game that are connected to Xbox Live.

    For games I’m not excited enough to buy on day one, I base my purchase decision on a number of variables (reviews, word of mouth, gameplay videos, etc.).  One of which is how many people are still playing it.  Crysis 2 already dropped from Top 20 and Brink is only 16.  Glad there are people still playing AC:B.

    Major, what is up with the Brink update Splash Damage gave MS last week? Also, where is the blog update about wtf that update on Live was this morning? Just Paypal? How about a way to take credit cards OFF the console when you use a credit card to buy Gold? Tired of having ten ways to spend money and only one hard way not to.

    At times it seems like PSN is the good uncle that gives me presents and Live is the one that molested my pet rock.
