Xbox 360 partners with Activision to bring the first ever ‘Call of Duty XP’

Call of Duty Classic Call of Duty 2: Skirmish Map Pack Call of Duty 3 Bravo Map Pack Call of Duty 4 Call of Duty: WaW Modern Warfare® 2 Call of Duty®: Black Ops

Today Activision announced CALL OF DUTY XP 2011 which they are calling ‘The Ultimate Fan Experience.’ The event will take place September 2nd and 3rd in the Los Angeles area. In addition to an assortment of COD activities the entire weekend, Multiplayer gameplay from MW3 will be revealed, and they’ll hold a tournament with $1 Million on the line.

    Only after seeing all the covers lined up in a row do I see how absolutely uninspired even the covers look. This franchise needs a reboot.

    They’re leaving it pretty late to give us a Multiplayer Reveal. *sigh* I agree with you andrew, too. Even the covers have barely changed, a good reflection on the games.

    As part of the Call of Duty XP make them stop with Call of Duty stupidity and ask them to have their multiplayer maps to be compatible between different COD versions since they have the same game adding minor stuff since COD4

        bioshock was based of system shock (2 games) so Infinity would be the 5th game.battlefield is older than call of duty and has 1942,1943,bf2(plus 2 expansions),bf2142,bf heroes,bad company,bad company 2 and BF3 is net.Batman AC is just a sequel but yes it is awesome.

    MS really knows what we want. We don’t want new IP’s, or anything that doesn’t have to do with COD, Kinect or Halo. I would hate if we had a game like Rage getting hype on the Dashboard or an MS marketing push.

    MS literally just went to the Halo console to trying to be the COD console. With crap like this, no wonder other games can’t hope to sell as well. It is pretty much impossible.

    I think it is a terrible name for a ‘convention’ or whatever this is exactly as it can easily be confused with experience points which are also part of these games. Just does not work well when discussing it in regular conversation.
    guy 1: “did you hear about CoD XP?”

    This is awful! This is all about one thing: Activision wants to make more money from the CoD cash cow (subscriptions, etc.) and Microsoft, already being the most expensive method (Xbox) to play Multiplayer, is in on this too, so they can shovel CoD down our throats like EA/Madden does and get more money from our wallets. No thank you. I have purchased every Call of Duty released. I will not purchase another one. There are too many great alternative without the extra costs. This is the last straw. Open your Eyes people!
