Dash Text: Rockford™ and Crystal™, heroes of Boulder Dash®, one of the greatest classic video games, get their bits and bytes together to make their Next Gen-Debut. Back in the 80’s, when hairstyles were wild, music was electronic and video games were sold on Music Cassettes in Europe (yes, it’s really true!), Boulder Dash® won our hearts by storm. The creative and frantic gameplay mix required both our reflexes and brains to avoid murderous rock slides of Boulders and get our hands on those precious Diamonds in 20 fun-filled Caves infested by Fireflies, Butterflies and Amoebas. In 2011 our childhood heroes take it to the Caves again on Xbox 360 in Boulder Dash® – XL™! Leaving the essence of what we all love about Rockford’s classic quest for Diamonds intact, Boulder Dash® returns Next Gen-Style, with new, exciting Game Modes, Gameplay Elements, Monsters and more Diamonds to snatch than ever before!

Team Xbox saying windows 8 is going to cross platform… Why should I invest anymore money if this is going to be the reward of loyal xbox customers. Security and game hacks already a big prob.

    • http://thetjhzone.blogspot.com Tylerh1701

Isn’t this just a rumor? And how is being able to play Xbox games on Windows 8 even a slap in the face to current Xbox owners?

      • http://twitter.com/StrikeSudden XboxLiveStrikeSudden

Hackers hacks and plus building the biggest game network. I guess banning your windows operating system is the next thing. Of course stepto will be running quake servers on apple at that time. Head of enforcement not even looking into top 20.  By his tweets does not spend much time on xbox.

        • http://twitter.com/bob101910 Bob B

lol what? Didn’t know you could tell how much somebody plays Xbox by looking at their Twitter. Thanks for the information. I was using the wrong way this whole time. I was looking at their Gamercards. Wow I’m an idiot.

      • http://twitter.com/bob101910 Bob B

Guess some people believe everything they hear. Feel sorry for them. I don’t see how it’s a slap either. That kid’s just a troll.

I’ve been playing Ms. ‘Splosion Man all morning. Anyone who likes fun needs to be playing this game.

    • http://twitter.com/bob101910 Bob B

Haven’t gotten a chance to download the trial yet. Is it like the 1st game, but with a girl?

  • cicio cici

Ms. Splosion Man? Bo-ri-ng and overrated, with no real control over your character. I’d rather play pinball while farting. Which, hey, is pretty much what the game is all about.

    • http://twitter.com/brotherdaz brotherdaz

Go and play your COD guy

      • cicio cici

Uh, sorry? Last games i enjoyed were Outland, Nier and Mushihime-sama Futari. Call of Duty? Me? Try again.

        • Roger Cox

I guess you just lave a rare taste in games.

          • http://profiles.google.com/fmsaziri Luigi Luigi

Maybe i wasn’t clear enough. There’s no real depth of control over your character: walk, jump, sorry “xplode” (how original), the end. Or that’s what it looks like from both tutorial and trial. I expect more meat for a game, especially one getting such high scores. The first chapter bored me as well.

        • http://twitter.com/brotherdaz brotherdaz

How are you going to say you have no real control over your character? Apparently you haven’t even played the game

    • http://saveandquitgaming.com Justin McFarland

Thank you so much for telling us your opinion! Your shitty taste in games matters so much to us.

      • cicio cici

Really? Thanks, i don’t feel alone anymore.

    • http://twitter.com/The_Dukenator Mark

Have you tried the original Splosion Man?

  • fsdsafd fdsfas

Ms splosion man looks really interesting. But i’m gonna wait until it’s 2,50 on steam. Probably on the holiday sale.

  • http://twitter.com/bat0nas Tomas Misevičius

Will wait for DOTW and get Splosion and Boulder.

The ms splosion theme won’t download for me. used the coins and pressed A to install but it won’t download and is not on my HDD. help?

    • http://twitter.com/GreenMistt kyle

Maybe try clearing your cache and reinstalling it? I’m not sure if it’ll work, but it’s worth a try.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=653916260 Bryan Brennan

I had the same problem, I had to back out to my dash, turn off the console, then go back in to change theme and it was there.

    • http://twitter.com/mcmax3000 David

After you purchase it in the mall, you have to back out of the mall to either the main menu or the world map. It will only install upon exiting the mall.

If a game isn’t going to be available in a certain region, isn’t it a good idea to, you know. TELL people? I’m in Australia and have been waiting for Boulder Dash XL for months, and have spent the last three days trying to get some kind of official word on whether we’ll be able to get the game. XBLA really has to get itself together on this stuff.

Same here. It’s Tecmo Bowl Throwback all over again for me except this time I didn’t have the points all purchased and ready to go.
