Question: when Xbox 360 reps enter game shows these days…do people point and laugh?

    • Boe2

but, but…kinectimals is now with bears, you can dance on Dragostea Din Tei and you can play “hole in the wall”!

Personally I’d rather facepalm if I were in the audience :p

      • darkjester74

Yes, I love the enthusiasm with which MS announces:  OMG Kinectimals, NOW WITH BEARS!  BEARS PEOPLE, CMON!!!!

    • John Ashfield

Yes because Gears 3, Halo HD, Forza 4, Tropico 4, The Witcher 2, Rise of Nightmares, Star Wars Kinect, Dance central 2, Kinect Sports 2 and The Gunstringer is such an awful line up for the next couple of months.

PS3 has Uncharted 3 and…..oh yay yet another handheld console.

      • Kay Tomas

Remember that not everybody cares for kinect, that takes out 4 of your games. Im a sucker for MS myself, but the lineups are getting thinner indeed. Trpoico 4? When did that game become something to brag about…

        • John Ashfield

Tropico 3 was amazing, in the early days 360 had some amazing strategy games and sims, tropico 4 fits right in to that category.

Though have to admit I would love a new Viva Pinata….

        • corellianrogue

You might as well say “Remember, not everybody cares for 3rd person shooters, 1st person shooters, racing games, strategy games or RPGs. So really there aren’t any exclusives at all!” LMAO!  If you don’t want Kinect that’s your problem and you’re missing out on the future of videogames.

Gears 3 and Forza 4 were announced last year so I don’t see your point there – what’s the point of ‘announcing’ them now?  I thought Sony was the company that based the crap out of their upcoming gaming news…guess not.  Tropico 4 is a marginal title at best.  Rise of Nightmares, Star Wars Kinect, Kinect Sports 2 and Gunstringer are kiddie games.  Dance Central 2 is about as hardcore as a Barbie doll.  The only thing decent half-decent is Witcher 2.  So one title…yeehaw. Maybe Microsoft will up the ante like last year and get Peter Molyneux to talk a load of bullocks for half an hour.

      • Rabbitc Finklestein

By the way – I’d take Uncharted 3 over ALL of the titles mentioned above.  As for Vita, a handheld console that also allows remote play and doubles as a touchscreen-controller a.k.a. Wii U style?  I’d say that’s pretty kick-butt, wouldn’t you?  Or perhaps you prefer shooting at chickens with your finger?

        • Senor Chang

Could your post be any more irrelevant, fanboy?

MS not even competing w/ the Vita, you want to cheer on that game, go find a DS blog to crash.

Dumbest comments I’ve seen in a long time.  Comparing a mobile phone time-waster to PS Vita/handheld games.

And the Uncharted thing… anyone else notice that when talking about PS3, fanboys always mention the same 2 or 3 games over and over?

          Yeah, no one cares.

      • Anonymous

hahaha star wars kinect, dance central 2, kinect sports 2 and the gunstringer. very funny.

      • Paddy

        Gears 3 – Agreed
        Halo HD – Doesn’t count
        Forza 4 – Agreed
        Tropico 4 – Is this a joke?
The Witcher 2 – Perhaps, perhaps not
        Rise of Nightmares – What?
Star Wars Kinect – Is THIS a joke?
Dance central 2 – Is this a joke, too?
Kinect Sports 2 – Is this a joke?
The Gunstringer – Don’t be ridiculous

I, too, would take Uncharted 3 over any of those. The only ones that come close are Gears and Forza. Maybe Witcher will, but who knows?

Microsoft are rubbish at exclusives and have been for the past few years. They care more about arm flailing now. I can’t wait till that market crashes and burns in a few years and Microsoft can see what asshats they’ve been,

Same old, nothing really new has been announced for the Xbox. Maybe Microsoft should jump on the portable gaming bandwagon and take the fight against the PS Vita

    • John Ashfield

Handheld market is crashing, 40 ipad games or 1 psvita game?

    • corellianrogue

Stretch resources to enter an already overcrowded market? Yeah, that
sounds like a great idea, lol!  As it is they’re already making Windows
Phone games. Apart from Kinect games Microsoft are also obviously
working on games for the next-gen Xbox, they’re just not announcing
      them right now.

Kinect is crap.We are still waiting new IP for pad and Alan Wake 2,a new Conker,Kameo 2,PGR5,Lost Odyssey 2,ecc….Each show is becoming more and more ridiculous for MS.2011 was blank(only GOW3 and Forza 4).2012 seems even worse.

According to Metacritic (yeah, I know, Metacritic is crap but it’s the easiest place to go to if you want to see a load of scores for games quickly) these XBLA exclusives were among the last month’s best games: Toy Soldiers: Cold War (81), Ms. ‘Splosion Man (83), Trenched (84) and Bastion (87). Plus of course Fruit Ninja which has got 72 so far on Metacritic. (Which doesn’t make sense when you look at the “professional” critics’ scores on there that have 17 positive scores, 11 mixed scores and only 2 negative scores. Like I said, I know Metacritic is crap.)

When can I be able to participate in the beta for the fall dashboard update?

Too much kinect junk, not enough new real games/ip’s

nearly a year without a single exclusive core retail game….

  • Thad Vein

Hey Major…. when are you guys gonna fix the Kinect Fun Labs problem?  It still crashes on me every time I try to launch it.  If your not going to fix it …. (it’s been weeks)  You should at least re-fund our points if we spent any.  (I did)

    • Anonymous

Have you tried deleting it from your HDD then redownloading it?

  • Anonymous

Yet to be convinced to buy the Kinect. Not saying it doesn’t do the job, just that none of what I’ve seen so far compells me to dig up the cash for it. The casual games look fun for a short time but I don’t consider them worth forking out for the sensor. Perhaps when it starts to be intelligently integrated into the more ‘core’ games will I consider purchasing it.

Because of this, the announcements seem a little lackluster from my point of view.
