It’s sad to say that PSN+ does this better now,they get Resi Evil 1,2 and 3 for free as well as another 7 games and the usual discounts as well this month (included discounts on Resi 4 and Veronica)

  I totally agree with you. IMO when the PSN went down MS should have given us so many deals that the those on the PSN would want an Xbox. The PSN gets all this stuff in the same week? I recall 5 free games from MS Aegis Wing, Dash of Destruction, Crash Course, Yaris, Harm’s Way, and Totemball if you have the camera. None of those come close to the games given away on the PSN. These so called DOTW have been lame for so long. A deal is not just something reduced in price, its something people demand and is also reduced in price. I know we get ESPN, Twitter, and some other benefits for having gold, but the 360 is a gaming console so with my $$$ for being a paying customer I want games.

Howcome the deal of the week next week is the Rockstar Pass in the same week that there’s a Rockstar sale? Why isn’t the pass a part of the sale and the DotW something else? And yeah, way to screw early adopters on the pass that came out what, five minutes ago?

But yeah, as a Gold subscriber I’m entitled to good deals which for months I haven’t been getting. Every week is the same shit in a different toilet!

Picked up Gatling gears last week so that was a good sale, but why is there so many repeat sales for the same games. Bioshock, BFBC2, Mass Effect… Just permadrop the prices.

As for the passes, stuff goes on sale, people need to get used to it. If you don’t like it, buy games new and on sale. MK was $15 new last month which netted the kombat pass with it. Patience is a virtue.

  I had a similar understanding at the time the pass was first promoted. I thought that the pass was a limited special at the time of the release. For it to be discounted so quickly after the game’s release suggests that either the DLC isnt selling well, or even that there wont be any more DLC?

I don’t understand MS and their strategy, they have a strong ability to really clean up. Yet time after time they put the same old stuff on sale over and over again! A lot gamers have access to multiple platforms and have the ability to choose where they spend their hard earned money.
I don’t really mind it just baffles me, I spend most if my time buying from Steam because of the crazy deals there.
If I had the choice I would spend my money on the marketplace but instead ill just continue to put my money where I think I get the best deal!

MS just needs to wise up and realize that they are missing out on a lot of transactions because of how they market their deal of the week! A lot of people sound disappointed all the time when the deal of the week is announced, does that not say anything to you MS?

Here’s hoping the rockstar sale has Undead Nightmare on sale again. And Crimson Alliance is kinda confusing, so it’s a free game but you have to buy a character slot??

Crimson Alliance feels to me like the first act of a larger game. I received the game free from summer of arcade and while I love it and it’s fun, it feels like a game that is going to nickel & dime you to death. You can buy in game gold for 80 Microsoft Points for $40,000. The game is very short, it just feels like content was withheld. The production values are very high and I do look forward to more content. It feels like a $30-$40 game that was cut into pieces that are going to dolled out over the year. Not saying this is a bad thing, just saying. It almost feels like its own platform, like Pinball FX or Rock Band, to where new content could added continually. It’s hard to say if having the lower entry point of $10 with optional purchases made later is better or if it would have been better to release a full game at say $30-$40. Regardless, the game is worth a look and I would have still bought it, if I hadn’t got it for free.

Thant’s not a bad BOTW if you:

1- Have Battlefield BC2
2- Missed that offer any of the times it’s been up previously.

If none of those applies to you, then it can be said safely that this DOTW sucks. Feels like the content should be rather permanently reduced than discounted multiple times over the year.

HOPE Microsoft gets back soon to the days when DOTW featured XBL arcades, not just games add-ons or avatar-themes related stuff only.

woah, some really nice titles after way too many weeks of shitty releases. BloodRayne Betrayal looks gorgeous (2D bayonetta with a castlevania feel). Skydrift seems to have a Hydro Thunder vibe to it, so I’ll be trying it out as well. Not too sure about Crimson Alliance, but it has potential, so demo shall be played. Last, but not least: Radiant Silvergun HD! Sweetness!

I really wish you did this a few weeks earlier. It totally clashes with Disgaea 4, which will be taking all my gaming time for the next few weeks
