Xbox LIVE Preview Program

I’ve gotten a lot of questions asking me if there is going to be a Preview Program for the upcoming dashboard update.  I am working with the teams here on a Preview Program for the new dashboard similar to the one we did last year. I don’t have a time frame or any additional specifics to share right now, but as soon as I do you can be sure I’ll make a blog post. Follow me on twitter to find out the moment I have news to share.

      tweet/email xbox support – they always answer – geared up for these sorts of questions too. Major can only humanly respond by general posts, lets face it.

        But this is his site and not once in all the years has he ever responded to a direct question. I’ve literally asked Bill Gates questions and he has talked to me directly twice yet somehow Major Nelson is too important to respond to a simple question on his site? I have always asked politely so for him not to answer at least one of my questions over the years shows a lack of class, and care.

    He hasn’t replied once. Major, please pretend to do your job while being crazy old and ugly. I am, too, let’s not give old and ugly people a bad name.

    when the heck is this update coming out i thought they said fall 2011 now they are saying holiday 2011 is that christmas time or thanksgiving?…  Please someone give a resource to there answer thank you

Just be glad he gives you warning at all. Some reps/companies would just post once when it starts and you might not even check till their full. At least we know its coming.       The last one was US only for perfectly good reasons and had few if any visible changes, but I was in the Kinect beta here in the UK (including delivery of hardware) as well as previous preview programmes. Microsoft is actually one of the better companies at including a good cross-section of people and countries in their betas.

    The beta will most likely be in mid to late October (& last 2 or 3 weeks) with a mid November launch just like all the other dash launches that happen in the fall/holiday season
