will i beable to use what i got on my sky subcrption or do i have to sucribe twitch

I think you should look at what UK providers include Ireland in their license as it seems you have completely neglected to mention us once again.

If I have a Ceton card and a MCE set up using my XBox 360, I say bake this into the new dashboard update as well.  Get rid of the MCE interface but instead of accessing my TV, videos, music and pictures using the MCE interface I should just pick the appropriate menu on the new dashboard.  This allows MCE to be baked in as opposed to a seperate interface.  As an MCE user I now get access to all the apps available, get to use NetFlix, etc all using the same interface.

i like how they are wanting you to pay for bbc even though you have to pay for a tv license which pays for bbc being charged twice now doesnt that sound fun

    • aStrangeDisease

It does not say you have to pay for BBC. Only the partners with asterisks require additional payment. BBC is not one of them.

I wish what you are saying was true. It would mean Verizon and HBOGO services would be for free, but they are not, trust me.

        • aStrangeDisease

Why should I trust you and not the author of the blog? I don’t know who you are.

GET M.A.F PLAYSTATION! YOUR MOVE ‘BRO’!

  • http://www.facebook.com/shinkyo81 Carles Martínez Romero

What is the point of having HBO GO as a separate channel if you can’t subscribe JUST to it. If you want to see HBO you need to get a full channel package through a TV provider such as Verizon. Does anybody know if you will be able to subscribe only to HBO GO through XBOX live? That would be amazing…

I’d imagine that if no one else does it (iPad Apps, computer software) then Xbox will not.  Makes you wonder if it will happen in the future though considering how much HBO is diversifying it’s ability to be viewed..

  • Logic Squirrel

Thanks but i already got a pretty good cable package and do not need all this useless stuff. I mean if i want to watch t.v i will, if i want to play games i will. Do you see where i am going with this? lol.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/David-Garcia/1360847381 David Garcia

My xbox replaced my cable with Hulu, ESPN, MSNBC news and Netflix.  I see where you are going, but I’d hardly call it useless, especially with all these options in the future.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/David-Garcia/1360847381 David Garcia

Do other things compare to the Xbox’s ability to display things on your TV, with full Surround Sound and in HD?  Sure, SOME computer setups would.  How about networking with your friends, they can see what you are watching (if you want) and even watch it with you with synced video and voice chat?  It’s a small market, but better than getting on the phone and saying “Ok, hit play….NOW!”

The best thing about these optional services are that they are OPTIONAL and available if you decide that you need them.  No one is forcing you to watch it on your Xbox.  If the update does not apply to you, then you can freely ignore it while enjoying the other benefits the update will bring like Beacons, Bing Search and a new UI that’s easier to navigate.

Soo, will we be able to watch videos on Youtube like on PS3?

    • aStrangeDisease

No, it will be much better than PS3.

  • Zak Bartz

Is there any word on streaming Amazon Prime service? And a minor note, how will our old themes look on the new dashboard?

VEVO, NETFLIX AND YOUTUBE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR COLOMBIA?

  • Lucas Bressan

Major major…. You forgot that Netflix is going to be available in Brazil too

  • http://twitter.com/DrGreenThumb_NZ Oliver Doel

Why Doesnt New Zealand get anything NEW!!!??? give us TVNZ on demand, Playstation has that, Crappy Zune is a ripoff and isnt even new addition

    U.S get everything as usual

    • http://twitter.com/JimLenoir James Lenoir

They should actually scale the subscription cost to content available to your region, because having to pay the same as the Americans, yet get not even a fraction of what they do is ridiculous. We don’t even have Zune so effectively we’re paying $60 for multiplayer, twitter and  facebook (oh and the occasional demo that makes it’s way to us).

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dylan-Satterfield/100000610033985 Dylan Satterfield

if they try to chrage me for youtube i think ill stick to my computer Lol

  • Matthew Veltri

I think its a good idea that Microsoft is finally getting Youtube on the XBOX 360. I hope that this project will pull through because a lot of people have high expectations for this update. This also sounds like it will be released soon, but hopefully there won’t be any problems.

  • Zack Barton

To me, it is a great idea to get all of these fantastic features on the XBOX 360. There are many varieties of shows coming onto the XBOX 360 from Bravo to Syfy. Many people and a lot of my friends are talking about this new update and saying that it is going to be the best thing that XBOX 360 has ever had. This new television version should launch soon and hopefully it will be up to everybody’s expectations.

  • Mike Zupan

Needs Amazon Instant Video, and VUDU.

  • http://twitter.com/JimLenoir James Lenoir

Nothing for South Africans… wow… and yet we pay the same for mmmmuuuccchhh less. Bloody hell, it’s like there’s this general disregard for Africa. Are they honestly going to tell me that not one of the entertainment providers in South Africa could provide content? Multichoice, SABC, eTV.. etc.

    Depressing…

  • http://twitter.com/lokijota João Pedro Martins

What are the 22 markets where youtube will be available? and why any kind of restriction, since even most new tv sets today have youtube features?
