I’m gutted by this too :(

    • Paul Harrington

I am also unhappy about this

Deffo not in the UK :( Don’t see why its not like Scene It never came out…

Not surprising the video rights for this would be a mess internationally.

    Why not Available in CANADA?

    • Anonymous

Has movie clips. I’d be willing to bet the licensing doesn’t extend outside of the US.

      • http://brandon2brown.webs.com Brandon Brown

But it is Available on my Canadian PlayStation Store so nothing to do with licensing, explain that please.

        • Anonymous

Ah, that I didn’t know. Movie rights can change per platform, so that’s a possibility I guess. Other than that, I have no clue.

I love how I click on Try Demo, then it has me sign into my MSN account, then takes me to the BUY page.  Real classy.

Will this work with the SceneIt controllers?

    • http://twitter.com/incphi incphi

Yes, Scene It? Movie Night works with the old controllers.  Like with YDKJ, the on-screen layout of the answers will even change to reflect whether your using the big button or regular controllers.

These types of games shouldve started on XBLA with DLC packs for different content.  I never bought one of these games because of it, but acutally might pick this up now.

I feel most kinect games should also be XBLA and not disc based.

Is this from the same developer as the last one?  If so I’m passing… the last outing was a piece of garbage compared to the first and second.  Why you switched development houses from an excellent one to a trash one is beyond me.

    • http://twitter.com/karlcramer Karl Cramer

The first two were published by Microsoft Game Studios, developed by Screenlife. MGS lost the rights. The quality dipped afterwards.

US Only for Xbox, yet Playstation has it available in US & Canada?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=669300725 Lance Yocum

Can someone explain to me why we are in the same gaming region and all games that come out we get in both Canada and USA, but for live arcade they have decided that some of the games you can only have in the USA????  Is it that Microsoft dosen’t want to make money or that our money just isn’t good enough for them?????  When it comes to the games whether it is retail or arcade should always be available for all North America!!!!  I really hope you read this Major Nelson and say something to the company as quite frankly this is bad business……..different regions haveing things is one thing but not in the same region and one can get it but not the other, especially when from what I hear you can get this on the Sony Playstation in Canada whom don’t charge to play online but we pay the fee to play online because we are happier with this platform.

Canada & the US are not the same region on Xbox Live Marketplace & never have been.

Why is this not available in Canada?

  • http://twitter.com/karlcramer Karl Cramer

This series was better when it was published by Microsoft Game Studios.

  • Frank Rogan

It’s not available in Canada because of movie licensing and localization problems. Everything in Canada has to be made available in French, which means two versions of every movie clip, and there’s a 2GB limit on the size of Arcade titles. Also, it costs more to license clips internationally.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Warchief-Zuljin/693019575 Warchief Zuljin

No it doesn’t. Almost all our video games say on the boxes “Game is in English, Manual is in English and French”. So no, there doesn’t have to be dual languages, especially considering no XBLA titles I currently have have any french language options or even instructions.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=669300725 Lance Yocum

That is not accurate as PSN has it available in Canada!!

    • Anonymous

Actually will be coming out in Canada shortly.

  • Anonymous

That would likely lead to a lot of confusion for people wondering why they can see a game on their region’s page but not buy it.

  • http://twitter.com/Spokker Spokker

The game is cheap, both in price and form, but it gets the job done. The announcer is as irritating as it ever was, but it’s not like the trivia game industry is on fire or ever was popular.

These games are few and far between so we take what we can get.

This is quite stupid, it only comes out in the USA, but all of the other 3 Scene it? games have come out in Europe, why not this one? If I can get my hands on some american MS points I can buy it with my american account of course but it should have been a download for all regions.
