SKYRIM!!!!

I’m not surprised to see Skyrim up there. That’s pretty much been my XBL friends list activity for the past few weeks.

It’s not my type of game but I’ve heard almost unanimous praise for it so good job on the developers.

Halo Reach or CEA should be #1.

World at War isn’t there anymore…it’s only a matter of time before it happens to Call of Duty 4.

more people playing black ops than bf3?  im starting to lose faith in the gaming community as a whole.

I still feel that UUs count split screens as more than one.  Seeing that BlOps has split screen where as BF3 doesn’t, it could explain the lopsided rankings.

Why would you “feel” it counts split screens? Try clicking on the UU link on majors page and it provides the definition. I don’t think that split screen requires 2 IP Addresses does it? I did this because i wondered the same myself…

It’s nice to see Streets of Rage 2 in the arcade section since it has never gone on sale and is almost 20 years old. Now that is a good game.

Too bad its only unique users and not the time played.
Most of my friends do a lot of games but seem to be coming back to Battlefield 3 every day. MW3 has been up only a few days/weeks after launch but now i see it only with a few friends.

I myself play BF3 every day. Have 70 hours of game time into it now and still like it. Though some stuff may/must be patched soon, i like it more than MW3, which seems to give me an unfair impression often. Like they are trying to piss you off. (Keep in mind that i’m not a noob (just check my bf3 stats) but mw3 just isnt my game, even though i liked black ops).

 I did click on the wiki definition of UU.  It saids IP + something else.  So maybe GamerTag(1) and GamerTag(2) is the “something else” and counts as two?  My IP is dynamically allocated by the ISP, so when it changes, does that count as more than one?

Bad news for Halo CEA

All you BF3 cry babies can’t take seeing a two year old  black ops ahead of BF3 so you cry about split screen. LOL

I’ve been going back and forth between black ops and skyrim. Just couldn’t get into mw3 and all my friends stop playing bf3 because its boring.

Well that second comment had to get approved because i used ***, you better wake up and smell the bacon!!!

I can understand why people choose black ops over bf3. Black ops has got over 20 maps, several zombie maps, several game modes. Bf3 has got like 3 game modes, 11 maps, crappy co op mode.

Wait how is Skyrim on there? I thought only online games were counted on this list?

If these charts tallied total time played online, it would be safe to say MW3 would still be above Battlefield 3.

Well no it doesnt show what xbox gamers are playing that dont get online, but you dont need to play multiplayer for xbox to tell if you played the game you just need to get online. Hey it is now “cool” to play a single player game while your online:)

Skyrim is hands down a greater game than any Call of Duty will produce! Period.

its only just turned one year old. it deserves to be up there, i played a heap of it. MW3 needs to drop… Battlefield 3, Skyrim and Blackops and maybe Forza 4 should be in the top 4…. I don’t really care about the order of them.

Yeah right.. Even a disappointing, one year old Reach is beating them, I can only imagine the numbers if 343i make  fourth game as good as the previous ones.

Wut?  Reach is below three Call of Duties now?  And Gears of War 3 is below Reach?  Even more surprising.

Kinda surprised Saints Row 3 and Revelations are are so low too.

It’s a shame MGS HD Collection hasn’t been able to make the cut.

I don’t know about Castle Miner, but FortressCraft (#4 on XBLIG list) is excellent.

Most people, like me, are always online. If the Xbox is turned on, I am online. These lists track what people on Xbox Live play. They don’t need to have online multiplayer.

Being online has nothing to do with being “cool”. It is automatic. Always has been. I’ve been on Xbox Live for nine years and I have several friends and family members that I like to communicate with.

Call of Duty is “cool”.

Being in the top 20 is not bad news.

Whatever you’re playing, so long as you’re logged into your LIVE account, gets tallied into the activity list.

Quality of content = Quantity of Sales + User Retention.

The only explanation is people aren’t playing Battlefield 3 like EA expected. Who cares? It is just another pop military shooter.

I see no difference between COD and BF gamers. They are both pop military shooters.

I play nothing but Rage and Skyrim. Sold MW3 a week after I got it because its the same as every other call of duty released. They stopped becoming fun after the OG modern warefare. I prefer free roam on huge maps.

wow 4 call of dutys and 3 halos in the top 20 at least we all know where gaming is heading now,yearly updates with minimal changes for maximum price tags..skyrim should be number 1 like it is on steam it well deserves the top spot

Morrowind = Oblivion = Fallout 3 = New Vegas = Skyrim
all have DLC that costs another $50.

While admittedly fun to play, I just got bored of the “more of the same” that you get with COD. I’m not trying to start a flame war between the two but Battlefield’s new engine gave me something to look forward to. COD could have added the features they did but at the same time could have built a new engine to go with it. It’s time for a change is all.

Saints Row: The Third will be below GTA IV on the activity charts pretty quickly, LOL!

What do you mean “still No. 12″? This is the first time GTA IV has dropped out of the Top 10 since its release over 3.5 years ago. There are just too many new games releasing. It will most likely squeeze back into the Top 10 soon enough though when all the new games like Saints Row: The Third plummet off the list over the next couple of weeks.

That was exactly my point. After all these big title releases, GTA still sits inside the Top 12..
