    • Anonymous

      would be nice I agree

I think I would even get a Kinect to just have it be voice activated too.

Ever hear people brag about browsing on Wii or PS3? Because it’s horrible. Game systems can do many things well. Web browsing is not one of them.

Is Dailymotion available in Ireland? It’s been on the marketplace area for over a week but I get an error each time I try to download!

    • Alan Mulready

Make an English profile man and download all the stuff they get, it works in Ireland. I’m downloading 4OD at the moment :)

Why doesn’t the U.K. get UFC?

From what i understand ESPN has exclusive rights for the UK including online streaming (ps. the ESPN channel is £10 a month on the sky go app which is way cheaper than sepewrate UFC events)

NineMsn video quality in Australia is horrible.I am a beta tester and cannot believe this app was launched to the public.Thank god Iview is decent.

  • http://twitter.com/Kisai Kisai

To date, none of the TV apps are in HD, they’re barely SD. Which is funny because the ads that run before some of the videos are in HD.

There, next console: Sony. Why? I buy a game, have to play online, and pay full price for online gaming, facebook and twitter

Any chance of ITV player for the UK, would be full set once BBC Iplayer is here next year!

  • Anonymous

That’s great. Go to the VUDU Wal-Mart site…it mentions nothing about the 360 but mentions a million other things to watch it with, including the PS3.  Good ol Wal-Mart.

    • Anonymous

To be fair, the service just launched today on 360 so it’s understandable that they may not have updated their site yet.

i have it in canada Disney XD

  • saidin_welder

I think it would be nice to have some type of description of the application in the app marketplace.  Currently I have to look on the web to know what some of these are, or I have to install the app, play with it a bit to know what it is really for.

Any news on the AT&T U-Verse update?

  • http://twitter.com/Inaba_kun Inaba-kun

The picture quality on these streaming apps is absolutely brutal. I realise MS can only push what the providers give them, but the stuff on 4OD and Demand 5 is like a 10th generation VHS pirate copy. It would be unwatachable on an iPhone from 25 meters away, let alone on a 50-60″ HDTV.

Hopefully when iPlayer and Netflix arrive in the UK early next year they’ll at least be 720p, if not 1080p. I have the bandwidth, lots and lots of it, so please, don’t hold back.

Where can we expect Skype on Xbox?

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jan-Vaclavik/100000506187042 Jan Václavík

They dont have Windows Phone integration, I doubt Xbox is their top priority.
I would expect them to integrate Skype into Video Kinect.

Once again I’m blocked out of content from my country of residence :(

Over 5 years since the 360 launched, stacks of minor and major updates, hundreds of games launched and Microsoft STILL cannot work out a way to allow me to change my country of residence from IRL to UK :(  I know that this imposition derives from content licensing restrictions but I am left in the situation were I’ve no choice but to keep accessing content that, due to my changed location, MS should NOT be allowing me to use.  This stupid restriction ENSURES that MS break their agreement with content providers.

    Great job Microsoft…

Greece doesn’t have money, Portugal has

      • Nuno Lopes

        ??

We pay the same or even more for Live and get treated like not caring.
No wonder Portugal is a SonyLand…

      • Anonymous

economically, its not as bad, but its not muuuuch better either. anyway, i dont understand why Microsoft sorts out all the legal matters in order to offer some features in some countries, and then completely ignores some others. cant understand the criteria they use. will keep this attitude in mind when i migrate to the next generation. in this one, my main system is the 360, but next one im definitively going for the PS4.

    • José António Silva

Actually, Nuno, my dashboard had Dailymotion featured in an ad and i was able to download and use.

Check for it… (and yes, mine is a PT account in PT).

  • José António Silva

    Daniel, try dailymotion.
    Its available for PT, apparently.

  • http://twitter.com/JohnnyWestlake Johnny Westlake

Question: Do do all of these new apps have such *terrible* performanace?! Old ones like Sky or Facebook are nice and smooth and fast. These new ones have blocky text, skip half their animations and take 1-4 seconds to even recognise a button press. This stuff is terribly poorly written!

  • Anonymous

considering that we in Portugal pay Live Gold in € (more expensive than $) and dont even receive a 1/3 of the features available outside, and also owning a PS3, i see that its not worth to have a LIVE GOLD membership. shame

  • http://twitter.com/scarzam Scarzam

    Portugal ????? 0 apps

  • Márcio Pereira

That list is incomplete, I found Daylimotion in my Portuguese live account, finally after so many updates something for Portugal!

    • http://www.facebook.com/vinnie.pt Miguel Gomes

Yup, it’s there. You can also get Youtube (and SyFy and MSNBC if you really want them), just make an american account and you’re good to go.

Netherlands isnt exactly getting great content either.

    • http://www.facebook.com/vinnie.pt Miguel Gomes

      U mad? xD
If we don’t get what we’re paying for we’ll complaint about it. “Pay up and shut up” isn’t our style.

  • http://www.facebook.com/ConorKiernan1 Conor Kiernan

will there ever be any irish tv on demand services added? it seems that we get very few of these extras while i pay the same as uk usa mainland europe

  • http://twitter.com/bushmaster2000 bushmaster2000

I’m not really that interested in all these video services where I have to buy / rent everything. I already had that with Zune Marketplace.  I’d much rather there be a monthly fee and I can consume what I want like HuLu Plus does or Netflix.  I’ll personally never use VuDu, PiX or any of those ther services that want to nickle and dime me for every episode i want to watch.

I do wonder why the EU never get the good stuff like UFC on Xboxlive there are more people watching UFC then only in the US and Canada

  • http://twitter.com/TehChrisReed Chris Reed

Am I the only one who thinks most of these apps are near useless? (I’m looking at you EPiX and SyFy)

  • Anonymous

Can portugal please have a separate blog spot because frankly im sick of coming here to see their complaints all the time.

  • George Zagaris
