Deal By Larry Hryb, Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson

  • Hugoku

    Wow! Huge déja-vú!.

At least we get Old World Blues.

  • Anonymous

If I had Fallout: NV I’d probably be quite thrilled about this deal. Alas, not so much. I do have Fallout 3 but I grabbed the GOTY edition so I already have all of the add-ons.

    • Hugoku

I do have FNV but I have not even unwrapped it yet. And to be honest, i’m not getting these right now seeing how I still have the base game to work on. Plus, Fallout DLC is put on sale like every 2 months.

      • Anonymous

I’m pretty much in the exact same boat with Fallout 3, except that I’ve unwrapped it and played it for about half an hour.

        • Anonymous

I was an entire year before I played FNV, but that was because still felt fatigued from playing more Fallout.

          • Anonymous

By the way, that wasnt a typo, Im two years old now.

        • Anonymous

Same here. I liked the game so far but I won’t be getting any additional content unless I finish the core product or it gets discounted insanely low :)

      • Anonymous

Same here! Bought it half price in a Gamestop sale and haven’t touched it since. Damn that was Black Friday 2010! Wow

GTA SAN ANDREAS 50% OFF PLEASE.

GTA SAN ANDREAS 50% OFF PLEASE.

Microsoft needs to learn to deal with Steam, it will make the add-on discount is that the game also give discount of 50% to 70% there who have not already bought the whole package. Please make Microsoft promotions actually talk to Steam and learn how.

So it came true. I saw a leaked list of what to expect during the sales, and now seeing this come true i’m no longer excited.

    • Anonymous

Where? do you have a link?

    • Anonymous

Ugh. I just looked up the list and it completely sucks. It doesn’t show what the deal is for the 23rd though so hopefully it redeems this pitiful sale.

  • http://twitter.com/ENich1 E.Nich

Would you mind to share the list Mckenzie, please?

I’d like to see a discount on Ikaruga, Trials HD, Scott Pilgrim, Omega Five, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, or even Comic Jumper. Hope at least I’ll be able to get one of these, because it’s too early to see one on Trine 2, isnt it?

  • http://twitter.com/ENich1 E.Nich

Nevermind, just found the list. I’m not happy with it though, maybe gonna get one of it, but that’s just it.

  • http://twitter.com/ENich1 E.Nich

Type “12 Days of Christmas Sale – unconfirmed list” on google, it’s from Gamefaqs. The only thing I like it’s SF3.

Though I hope that list is fake.

Haha, off to rub it in my brothers face.

If it wasn’t for this site, I would never even know these were on sale.

The Holiday Sales banner changes so it’s easy to miss, and the “Deals” panel on the Games section doesn’t show the same titles.  Then you need to use the right stick to cycle through all the games in the center panel.  Non-gamers don’t even know what the right stick does!

Other members of my family who have 360′s for their kids don’t even know where to look, much less how to buy anything on the console.  I think this is a real problem that is reflected in the low overall sales of Arcade and Indie titles.

I would suggest de-cluttering a bit, keeping the interface clean, and put the “buy this now” front and center on both the home page and the main game page!  Steam is not the example: iPhone stuff is.

Yep, gotta go buy a points card. ;)

Not a great start to the sales.  This on top of the terrible black friday sales makes me really frustrated

Please delete (wrong disqus account problems…)

      Gotcha’.

Yawn. How many times are these addons going to be on sale? They are like herpes… Just when you think they’re gone, they pop up again. Just permanently discount them FFS.

Speaking of old RPG content, is the Mass Effect 2 DLC going to be on sale during this holiday sale train?  I still need to play Overlord and waiting on a sale.  Will be re-playing it again in Januray so …..  looking for some discountz.

Been wanting to get Lonesome Road for a while. Was bummed out that so many people were disappointed when it first came out, although I love ALL of the New Vegas expansions, so i assume (as usual) people were just whining… pretty much for the sake of whining or they were expecting something else.

Pretty weak discounts so far. I remember in 2009 getting ‘Splosion Man during the New Years/Christmas sale for 240 points and last year getting all the Mass Effect 2 DLC for super cheap. Bastion was good to discount, but 600 points is too much; from the past two years I thought the point of this sale was for amazing XBLA games/DLC to be crazily discounted… so far I’m disappointed.

    • http://twitter.com/Navarin Bennijin Turbo

‘Splosion Man was last year for 160, don’t remember it ever being 240 before then. Maybe it was 400?

And yes last year’s Mass Effect 2 DLC deals were astonishing, not to mention last year’s rebate programmes. Everything on the spending front’s been worse this year.

      • Anonymous

It was 240 TWO years ago.

  • http://twitter.com/Navarin Bennijin Turbo

Yawn, seen it before. If the best you can do is 50% off then you aren’t trying hard enough.

Just wait for the inevitable GOTY Edition.

  • http://twitter.com/ahleungtt Henry Leung

MS, how many more times do you want to discount Fallout 3 DLC?!?!?! I think those who want to buy should have already bought them!

Fallout 3 is not Gears of War. I don’t think there would be many new players just bought Fallout 3 recently.
And even if there are, they should have bought the Game of the Year edition, which included all DLC.

We are talking a one-day sale here! It should be something attractive! Something you would regret if you have missed it!

Let Fallout 3 be gone for god’s sake!

    • http://twitter.com/williamronholm Anonymous

I bought Lonesome Road and Old World Blues since I don’t recall them being on sale and after Dead Money I decided not to pay full price for Fallout DLC…. Soooo I was happy for that sale, it was great timing.

  • Anonymous

Deals are only on 12 days of the 14 days period of this promotion. For example, on the 23rd on December 2011 will be no other deal, but the recent deal may persist for making it up – it is when a series of content is special offered.

  • http://twitter.com/AntaraelDulacre Antarael Dulacre

Seems we getting Deadliest Warrior Legends & Add-On on Sale today…well not HERE..hope Germany will get a substitue since we don’t have this game on the marketplace…..so this is why 23rd was unknown in the leaked list….will get street fighter 3 tomorrow…not interested in anything else on the leaked list though… <.<

“For the hundredth time, here is Fallout DLC discounted.”

  • http://thetjhzone.blogspot.com Tylerh1701

XBLA got a better price on the best game in there (Renegade Ops)

  • http://thetjhzone.blogspot.com Tylerh1701

Man if that leaked list is right, that would suck.

  • http://thetjhzone.blogspot.com Tylerh1701

Mortal Kombat Season Pass also appears to be on sale at the moment.

  • Raphael Hooper Braga

    Fallout again?

Why don’t you just put those prices like normal, instead of giving discounts all the time, month after month?
