Why is this NA only? Lots of Madden fans even in the UK we get a NFL match here!

    • http://twitter.com/Inaba_kun Inaba-kun

There are people in the UK who watch american football? And I thought regular football was boring beyond belief…

      • http://twitter.com/SamboTaylor Sam Taylor

This post seems odd. There is no victim, and just makes you look oblivious.

Inaba-kun is a lil no lifer who post on tweeter all day, he also probably reported your posts

Europe is also paying your wages major. What is this weeks arcarde game for us?

    • Jason McLean

Once again m$ decide to shaft Europe, i’m really starting to get sick and tired of companies like M$ and Sony for that matter with their not so cheap and tacky sales and ridiculouse prices for GoD.  2012 could be the year were i end my association with xbox.

Yes because Microsoft decides the availability of EA’s games…

Go complain to EA. This one isn’t a Microsoft issue.

        • Anonymous

Are you on Microsoft’s payroll or something? Because it seems like you are ALWAYS defending Microsoft.

          • Anonymous

I’m not defending anyone here. I think it’s stupid that it’s not available outside North America…

I’m simply saying that the hate for this particular situation should be directed at EA. It’s their game. They decide where it can and cannot be sold.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sam-Jones/100003239718443 Sam Jones

MS have to take some responsibility for this.  Games don’t get released on XBLA without their permission, and they have allowed EA to release this in NA only.  If they were interested in ensuring that Xbox customers in Europe, Australia etc got the best possible Xbox experience then they should have insisted that EA either release this worldwide or not at all.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003120678639 Marcus McCurdy

Why should MS take responsibility for something they have no control over? You do realize this was also released on PSN, as well, right? This game includes the NFL license which brings along its own limitations with some of those being no late hits and restrictions on which territories can get the game. NFL is no slouch when it comes to protecting their IP.

Moron – It’s not up to MS. It’s EA who decides.

  • http://twitter.com/SamboTaylor Sam Taylor

I bought 1500 ms points in anticipation of this game arriving as looking at videos I knew it was an insta-buy. Why is it NA only, and why was this not advertised before?

    • http://twitter.com/DarkDude98 Dark Dude

Because Microsoft have terrible communication regarding their digital distribution platform and if they don’t sort it out soon it’ll only continue to come back and screw them over.

    • http://twitter.com/Butatista Martin Ekequist

Exactly my situation and thoughts, I bought an extra 1000 ms points yesterday just to be able to buy the game today on release but now they let us know (by not finding the game on XBLA) that it is a US/Canada release only?! Why couldn´t they have told us this earlier? Is it that obvious for EA that this is a US/Canada release only that they don´t think there is a need to inform about such a thing? I planned to buy NFL Blitz and NBA Jam but after this I just decided to never look at a EA game again, sorry.

not a bad game, but needs an update. what’s with all the controls? push vs dive? an intercept button? Blitz needs 2 buttons with context-aware actions, not 4 buttons. It’s also feels slower than before, but maybe that’s just my Colts showing their age, I’ll have to try a few more teams. Definitely more complicated than it needs to be though, which is a shame.Games seem to take longer as well, but I’m a die-hard Blitz fan that still plays the original (’99) on my N64 with friends.

No arcade game for the rest of the world today? Seriously?  Who thought that one up?

  • http://twitter.com/xcast xcast

I want to get the game too! Some europeans also love NFL Blitz!

So for the first Arcade Wednesday of 2012, we get… naff all.

    Off to a good start!

i’m an nfl fan and was looking forward to this…a mighty shame

when M$ fanboys go around whining that people should stop comparing STEAM to XBL, guess what, they were right all along. I apologize for comparing the incomparable. STEAM is in a different league altogether, miles ahead. Sorry for my mistake.

ps: way to go M$… after the successful xmas sale, you definitely have this “digital distribution” thing model nailed down. promotions to everyone!!!

Hi. Do you have unresolved childhood issues that affect your social behavior, is that it? Any basics at all? Need to compensate by harassing people in old threads? Should really watch your tone, rettard! Seek professional help. BTW; nice douchy picture you have there. Matches your literary and social skills im sure

        • http://www.jpitta.com PittaMan

Even if it is a weak showing, I’m impressed by your ability to take the time to form a seemingly well thought out response yet couldn’t take the time to inject any facts in your OP.

And your quip about my picture was really disappointing. I would expect more from a dyed-in-the-wool troll such as yourself.

  • fsdfg dsfds

Because Major and his team are bumbling idiots who spend more time tweeting BS then doing there job, BY THE WAY FIREFOX STILL BARLEY WORKS ON THE NEW XBOX FORUMS , HEADER ERROR HEADER ERROR CANT EVEN GET THAT RIGHT NOOBS

    • http://twitter.com/grognard66 Fred V

Before making yourselves look like complete fools, maybe you should educate yourself.  MS has absolutely NOTHING to do with what territories these games are released in – that’s up to the publishers (EA in this case).  Also, as Major has indicated over and over again, this is a US blog.  Major will sometimes include information for other territories but it’s primary objective is to inform US consumers.

I was under the impression that the www prefix at the beginning of the url stood for WORLD WIDE web? or did we miss something?

Those who didn’t get this one outside of the US can rest easy. It’s a clumsy, rushed remake at best. The speed has been toned down considerably, the field is way too wide opening up the action needlessly, the sound mixing in 5.1 is goofy (commentary sits in the rears?), hits are puny, the roster is terribly outdated, music lacks punch, and there’s little in the way of long term play options. What a shame after how well NBA Jam was handled (at least gameplay wise),

  • http://www.ghzsports.com GHz Charles

First NBA JAM OFE, now NFL Blitz makes a comeback!? Sports gaming on XBLA is getting exciting again!

  • Dmitry Zolotov

When will Trine 2 be released in russian xbox live marketplace? It’s so unfair. First you ignore us with all those new cool features UK and US users have and now we can’t even get new games?
