Xbox 360 System Update rolling out

I wanted to let you know that the team has just released a system update for the Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE. Starting today when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out and asked to accept the update and you’ll be back online in a few moments.

This update will increase performance and is part of our continued effort to provide the best possible Xbox LIVE experience. In this update, we are providing a fix to a color issue that some were experiencing, and it will be immediately notable in the dashboard. The fix is also being applied by partners to their apps on Xbox LIVE, which we expect to roll out over the coming months.

Just finished browsing the updated xbox marketplace.  Shopping the indie games has much improved.

Have the Gamer Spotlight and Game Night sections been moved or removed?  Did not see them in the usual spot.

Me and my friends are having even worse disconnection issues, party issues constantly and some lag and pausing of Halo Reach games in Matchmaking, when will all this be fixed?

Respectfully, I’d like to share my overall disappointment in the new dashboard design. The appearance is fine, but it’s just not easy or fun to use. Everything that I care about (video, arcade and music) takes a second fiddle to advertisements and the promotion the big games. Also, it is very frustrating that I have to navigate through experiences that I completely don’t care about (e.g. social, tv) every time I want to get to music and movies. And while I like the new direction of having lots of video apps, the execution on the Netflix and Hulu apps is so frustrating, I’m on the verge of buying a different device. Given that we customers pay $60 a year for Xbox Live, please stop prioritizing us below your advertisers and restore the Xbox to something that we can love, rather than just put up with.

Ive not updated my console yet, looks like there is issues with this update.  MS are becoming just as bad as Sony with firmware updates.
