Announcing the the Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle

Today we are announcing the Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle. This limited edition bundle includes a glossy white Xbox 360 4GB console, glossy white Kinect sensor, white Xbox 360 wireless controller and a copy of two of the most popular Kinect tiles: Kinect Sports and Kinect Adventures as well as a three month subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold and will be available while supplies last for US $ 299.99.

In addition, a special edition White Xbox 360 wireless controller will be available for purchase separately for US $49.99 and available with the bundle.

Both the controller and the white Bundle begin shipping today to retailers in the US & around the world starting today, and will be available in Europe and Brazil in the next few months.

    It’s funny I never expect anything white to be labeled family. I would never get white furniture, white car interior, or anything else white that my kids would touch.

      by being brought back they technically mean they are taking the controllers back out of the storage sheds they put them in several years ago.

    Looks nice, but having a “family” unit cost that and only be 4GB is completely point-missing.

      I think you misunderstand the term “family” in this case.  Family isn’t “everybody in your house dumping COD map packs and Bethesda expansions into one console.”  It’s “little Johnny jumping on a make-believe raft and playing with elmo” which isn’t so storage intensive.

      Plus it’s the same price as the old 4gb kinect bundle anyway (so unless you expect MS to cop out to massive price cuts on their larger HDD units for no reason what-so-ever there’s not much to complain about.)

    Considering you can get a 250gb xbox 360 system w/ 2 games on Amazon for $299, and you can get a kinect only bundle at Gamestop for $99 with 1 game, you can get virtually everything in the above bundle plus one more game and a 250gb HD for just $100 more.  I would pass on the above bundle.

    I won’t be getting this… The bright white hurts my eyes to look at. I  thought this was the special Star Wars edition until i hit play! eck!… it’s definitely for someone, just not me!

    Never understood the 4GB version.  Seems too small to do anything.  That said, already have my Star wars xbox ordered.

      4gb is more for family use, just typical small family games or Kinect playing, most likely wont use XBL or any of the Gold Membership feature. unlike most of us users who need 250+ gb ha ha!

      Though I’, sure some families use&have Gold Membership for nextflix and maybe DLC for their games.  I’m trying to convince my fam. to get it for family nights and gatherings.

      Too old? This system is out since a year,and it can still run the same games of Playstation ;) and the new Playstation will come out in about 4 years and it’s been out since 2006

    I wonder why the joysticks are grey, i looks like the old controller. If the joysticks on a new black controller are black, why aren’t these white?

    I think MS should have skipped the Special Edition and had gone right to the “Super Special Edition” which I would expect to have something extra special included. ie. better controller, play ‘n charge kit, small 20GB HD or similar or bonus 16GB USB stick, bonus XBLA game codes, or at lease retail games that aren’t normally distributed with every XBOX.
    IMO, special editions should NEVER be just a colour change!

    Is this pack available in India ??? If not , then is a price cut expected in India ???? A 4gb kinect bundle costs a bit more than $450 here ….
