Announcing the the Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle

Today we are announcing the Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle. This limited edition bundle includes a glossy white Xbox 360 4GB console, glossy white Kinect sensor, white Xbox 360 wireless controller and a copy of two of the most popular Kinect tiles: Kinect Sports and Kinect Adventures as well as a three month subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold and will be available while supplies last for US $ 299.99.

In addition, a special edition White Xbox 360 wireless controller will be available for purchase separately for US $49.99 and available with the bundle.

Both the controller and the white Bundle begin shipping today to retailers in the US & around the world starting today, and will be available in Europe and Brazil in the next few months.

    Because I was waiting to get an Xbox, as I am sharing one right now. There is one I actually want now, so I’ll probably buy one (probably the Star War one). Not having your own Xbox when you’re used to it (traded mine in because it was wearing out) can suck.

  I’m not. The ones that have had the new D-Pad (silver, GoW, I think MW3) were all $60. These are $50, so it’s to be expected.
  
  Also, they need to phase this style out and just make the $50 standard controllers have the new D-Pad anyway. That’s the surprising thing–that they still make these crappy D-Pads at all.

  Why? Do people actually sell their old consoles to get a new special edition one. There is no point. They all have the same hardware. You are just replacing what isn’t broken, a waste of money. Especially since next year new consoles will be released, they will be announced later this year

Why do you guys still offer anything under 60gb? I mean you push to install the games to the hard drive to extend the life, offer full downloadable games, offer all the apps to download, updates, and all the other saves add up to used drive space, and you expect a family to work with 4gb?! Bad call Major. This is more like an xbox for a grandparent or other relative for when the kids come visit.

I’ll stick with my CODMW2 limited Ed with 250gb, 2 controllers, headset, and game that I got for $400. It was well worth the price and outlasted everything you guys offered since with no worries of overloading my hard drive space. BTW, you seriously need to drop the price of controllers if you expect people to buy 3 more for a family! And you forgot to add the 1month trial family gold package! Just take the “family” out of the name of this bundle.

Xbox 360 Special Edition “family” bundle… to get the true “family” experience…
upgrade hard drive to 120gb ~ $110
add 3 controllers ~ $50ea / $150 total
Xbox Live Family Gold ~ $100
*headset ~ $20 and chat pad ~ $30 optional because only one person can use it
That’s approximately $350 added to the original $299 “family” bundled Xbox… $650… That’s $500 of Wii accessories and games!

You know I am really disappointed with the slim consoles….I bought a halo reach console, spent I think 500 on it. NO component cables??!!!! The controllers were not the new ones that twist….1 year later the lens goes out and the wifi…..just a couples days after warranty…..so I had to fix it on my own..My phat console is still perfect!
