Mass Effect 3 comes with a reversible cover

Regardless if you plan on playing Mass Effect as a male of female Commander Shepard, BioWare has you taken care of. If you have the standard edition of Mass Effect 3, be sure to check out the reversible cover so you can match your game cover to your in game character – if that’s your thing.

If you have Kinect,  here is a handy PDF that gives you some tips on how to you voice commands in Mass Effect 3. Feel free to post in the comments and let me know what you think of the Kinect integration with the game once you’ve had a chance to play a few missions with it.

Considering it’s billed as a collectors edition not a limited edition and the Definitive version for mass effect fans, I just wish they had enough for the people who actually wanted one.

eck… Bioware should take notes from Bethesda and Gearbox on reversabile covers. ProTip: We’d like to hide all the obnoxious logos and promo text for store shelves.

Duh, the female one is better

    This is old news..

    • Major Nelson

Perhaps – but new to some.

        It’s news to me.

Sorry, Major…I didn’t mean to sound rude. Had a rough day yesterday :/. Thanks for all of your updates, I enjoy reading your blog!

The next step would be ordering a high quality print of custom Shepards.

Someone knows why is the people hating this game? Just look at the Metacritic
    user’s rating =S.

    • Carl Houghton

It probably has something to do with the fact that there have been far better games over the last couple of decades than ME3 which haven’t received the high scores that this has. Either someone’s been getting paid off or the reviewers being paid to write these articles just don’t give a damn anymore about giving a quality unbiased review.

No, it has to do with the fact that nobody likes DAY 1 PAID DLC that has clearly been taken out of the game.
Day 1 PAID DLC and unlock codes are a very bad practice in the current games industry. If it was free or given with all new copies of the game (like ME2), nobody would have been angry about it, but EA wants to nickle and dime more and more with each new game they release.
The metacritic user review scores are just a method of making those practices public and angry customers’ voices heard.
I hope Microsoft pays attention to those facts and makes a set of rules that prohibits such things in the future. But who am I kidding right?

They can bother printing a reversible cover, but not a manual, not even in the Collector’s Edition. Terrible.

I can barely smell the “new game smell” without the manuals D:

  • Boe2

I was hoping the reverse cover would have that “better with kinect” banner removed :(

i wish they would stop forcing fem shep on us.

ok i just relised im open for a “just dont reverse your cover then”…i just ment im sick of fem shep, she’s f’ugly to.

    • Alice Lockhart

Wow! I don’t know how “perfect” you must be to say that about a videogame character D=.

I am really amazed at how mediocre the game turned out. I finished the story, whatever that was, and Gamefly’ed it back the next morning. I know MS, IGN and other sites are basically not accepting the fan backlash about the game, but BioWare themselves keep digging themselves deeper. It appears that PC players can unlock the “DLC” character on their disc. This goes exactly against what BioWare had been saying all along, and it isn’t like they were basking in credibility before that.

Just kind of disappointed in the game after the second one was so great, the whole Jessica Chobot and Freddie Prinze stuff just kind of shows BioWare made a specific pop shooter, and probably find it hilarious when fans are in awe of it.

Your right.  There is an online pass code involved.  As usual…
